Wednesday 26, May 2021 21:07..........The head of the Iranian Customs Authority, Mahdi Mir Ashrafi, announced that exports of non-oil goods recorded a quantitative growth of 17 percent and a price of 48 percent in the first two months of the current fiscal year from March 20 to May 20, 2021 on an annual basis.
He explained Ashrafi in a statement today Wednesday , according to Iranian media, that was exported 16.9 million tons worth $ 6.3 billion Iranian goods to various countries around the world in the past two months, mostly benzene, polyethylene, methanol, alloy iron and steel industries Alfoladah. "
He noted that China topped the list of importing countries With 4.6 million tons and a value of two billion dollars, followed by Iraq with 3.1 million tons with a value of 953 million dollars, the UAE with 2.4 million tons with 849 million dollars, Turkey 384 thousand tons with 388 million dollars, and Afghanistan 911 thousand tons with 365 million dollars.
The head of the Iranian official indicated that, the five countries combined 11.5 million tons of goods, worth 4.6 billion dollars, with a quantitative growth of 68 percent and a price of 73 percent. ”
In contrast, Mir Ashrafi indicated that 5.3 million tons of goods were imported in these two months, at a value of 6.5 billion dollars, from various countries of the world, with a decrease. A quantity of 16.5 million tons and a price increase of 29.5 million tons. "
He explained that among the most important imported commodities are mobile phones, corn fodder, sunflower oil, wheat, soy and their oil, rice, barley and sugar .

He said in a statement: An Iraqi security force specialized in the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces executed a judicial arrest warrant against one of the accused this morning in accordance with Article 4 terrorism and based on complaints against him.
Al-Kazemi added: A joint investigative committee consists of the Joint Operations Command, Interior Intelligence, Military Intelligence, National Security and Popular Mobilization Security to investigate the accusations against him, and he is now in the custody of the Joint Operations Command until the end of the investigation.
He explained that: The armed manifestations that occurred by armed groups are a serious violation of the Iraqi constitution and the laws in force, and we have directed an immediate investigation into these movements according to the law.
Al-Kazemi stressed that: Protecting the security of the homeland and not exposing the security of our people to adventures at this historical stage is a responsibility placed on the shoulders of the government, security and military forces, forces, parties and political currents, and therefore we call on everyone to give priority to the interest of the homeland.

According to Iranian media, the competition for the presidency of the Shura Council took place in the internal polling of the council this morning between the former head of the council and the deputy for the city of Tehran Muhammad Baqir Qalibaf and the deputy from the city of Kazerun Fereidun Abbasi Dawani.
Qalibaf won in the poll with 230 votes and Abbasi Dawani 18 One of the votes of the deputies in the House. "

Wednesday 26, May 2021 19:46.......Member of Parliament Hisham Al-Suhail confirmed that there is no political agreement regarding early elections.
He said in a televised statement that: The factors for the success of holding the elections are not yet available.
Al-Suhail added: The political situation is very confused and the differences are very large within all components, indicating that signs of chaos have begun.
He stressed the need to stop the assassinations and kidnappings, pointing to the presence of external parties involved in the assassinations.

The website of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan stated that, Talabani had met Martin Houth and Vincent Bobo, the official of the office of the representative of the European Union envoy in the Kurdistan region, and the two sides discussed relations between the region and the federal government, indicating that Talabani affirmed the commitment to implementing the federal budget law.

sandyf BobbyC Now you may say it wasn’t a new currency in 2003 but in fact it was new because those new denominations weren’t around during Sadam’s days. Sounds new to me. It’s been the Iraqi Dinar since 1930 (?) and has gone thru major changes and to this day remains the Iraqi Dinar - You are obviously free to believe what you want. The Iraqi Dinar is the monetary unit of Iraq, not the currency. The currency of Iraq is the IQD, and a currency can be issued in different series. The monetary unit of Turkey is the Lira, in 2006 they changed the currency from TRL to TRY, the monetary unit remained the Lira.
BobbyC sandyf Appreciate that and you're right, we can agree to disagree because it really doesn't matter in the long run as far as what people are looking for in this investment. What we do know is that the Sadam era, and prior to, had a currency called the IQD. When the Sadam IQD was "cancelled", they printed a new currency, completely different than the Sadam IQD, and called it the......IQD. Now if they re denominate and go international will they rename the IQD as you pointed out with the Turkish Lira, could be but then and again, who will care because it becomes a neutral event for us and we battle the spread, not the dealers. Of course that's dependent upon which banks will handle it

Tomorrow morning (27 May) Security Council members are expected to vote in person on a draft resolution renewing the mandate of the UN Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) for one year, until 27 May 2022. The initial draft was circulated on 14 May, and Council members participated in one round of negotiations on 18 May.
