Samson: Legal: Iraq will face international sanctions if the Security Council does not submit the results of the investigation to the killing of the demonstrators
9th February, 2020
Today, Sunday, Iraqi legal expert Ali al-Tamimi revealed that Iraq will face international sanctions in the event that the results of investigations by killing demonstrators are not handed over to the UN Security Council.
Al-Tamimi told Al-Akhbariya: “The Security Council depends on gradualism in decisions. It starts from alerting and warning, then forming committees, preventing travel and the economic blockade, then switching to military sanctions and guardianship when states do not abide by resolutions in accordance with Articles 38 to 51 of the Charter of the United Nations.”
He added: "If Iraq does not comply, we will be in front of it, just as the violation of human rights is the most serious impact on international law and the United Nations Charter. It is the ones that bring down the countries as happened to Iraq before 2003 in resolution 688 and longitude 36 and 32."
Al-Tamimi said, "This was accompanied by the American bill proposed by the American Congress on the American State Department, this law differs from the American treasury decisions, which is moral," stressing, "But this law, which will be legislated after 90 days, has an international character and may allow the use of military executive force." Inside Iraq, if the situation continues as it is."

Samson: Oil prices are taking their breath after the sharp decline under the pressure of Corona
11th February, 2020
Oil prices rose on Tuesday, from their lowest levels since December 2018 after being affected by weak Chinese demand in the wake of the outbreak of the Corona virus, and waiting for dealers to see whether Russia will join other producers in seeking further production cuts
Brent crude prices rose by 70 cents, or 1.31%, to $ 53.97 a barrel, and US benchmark West Texas Intermediate crude prices fell by 60 cents, or 1.21%, to record $ 50.17 a barrel
