The Cabinet Secretariat is discussing with the World Bank an indicator to improve the business environment inside Iraq

This came while presiding over the second periodic meeting of the Diwaniyah Order Committee (52 for the year 2021) concerned with following up reforms and addressing indicators for evaluating the business environment in Iraq that the World Bank mentioned in its annual report through improving the regulatory environment for the private sector and its workers, as one of the basic items in achieving economic growth Encouraging young people to engage in the local labor market and shift towards the private sector.

The representative of the World Bank indicated, according to a statement by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, that the Bank is a key partner in supporting Iraq's aspirations; To improve the business environment and implement strategic plans and programs to achieve economic growth, in implementation of Iraq's commitment to the terms of the White Paper approved by the government earlier in this regard.

It is noteworthy that the Diwani Order Committee (52 for the year 2021) includes in its membership representatives of the relevant authorities from the Supreme Judicial Council and the state, and the ministries (Foreign Affairs, Trade, Higher Education and Scientific Research, as well as the Central Bank of Iraq).

NORV   Zig The auctions are pretty simple. They are designed to maintain the exchange rate against the dollar and also provide dollars to pay for imports. To supply dollars for imports is easy, a vendor just goes to his bank and sells his dinars in his account to the bank for dollars.

Those dollars are then wired or given to the importer to pay for the goods. The auction side is more complicated. the dinar exchange rate is maintained by creating a balance of demand for the dinar (keeping the correct amount in circulation to balance the demand against the dollar.

When there is a shortage or excess, it creates a problem which effects the rate on the street. Therefore, the CBI works hard to provide one or the other currency as needed to maintain the value. We know this because daily we ready in the news the market rate as published.

"Regulation (of output) can be different depending on the situation," Alekperov said.

"For now September 2022 will mark a milestone when the restrictions should phase out. The company has up to 90,000 barrels a day of idle production, which we hope will be needed by the market."

Lukoil has said previously that it could reduce its stake in Iraq's West Qurna-2 oil project. Alekperov said Lukoil remained in talks with the Iraqi government to stay involved in the project.

Alekperov said the Yamama formation at the West Qurna 2 oilfield has proved difficult to tap because it contains high levels of hydrogen sulphide.

(1) Since the beginning of our Nation, the four public shipyards that support the United States Navy have continued to be foundational cornerstones of the strategic infrastructure of the United States, and those shipyards will continue to be so in the future.

(2) Although originally built in the age of sailing ships, the shipyards have been incrementally updated overtime, but in 2021, are in need of a generational investment to modernize and upgrade the outdated facilities to ensure they can continue to repair the United States Navy for another 200 years. This Act would provide the necessary authorities and appropriations to make those strategic assets ready to meet the future demands of the United States, while securing and expanding domestic capabilities across many sectors of the economy critical to ensuring the independence of the United States from, and preventing over-reliance, on foreign commerce.

But he said that this was done based on an agreement and with prior notice, and has "nothing to do with [Iraq's] arrears to Iran."

A statement by the Ministry of Planning stated: The framework includes supporting the efforts of the Iraqi government, in a number of areas, including the return of the displaced, developing the private sector, empowering youth, and achieving social peace, within the framework of the five-year development plan and the government reform plan (white paper).

The aforementioned cooperation framework will be signed on the Iraqi side by the Minister of Planning, Dr. Khaled Batal Al-Najm, and on behalf of the United Nations, Deputy Special Representative of the United Nations in Iraq Irina Solerano.

Fri 03, Sep 2021 .................. Iraq participated in the conference of the Board of Governors of the Islamic Development Bank in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.

The Iraqi delegation was headed by the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Mustafa Ghaleb Mikheib.

A statement by the Central Bank of Iraq stated today, Friday: “The conference discussed a number of issues related to development in Islamic countries and the challenges that faced their economies in the wake of most of them being exposed to the repercussions of the Corona pandemic.”

The conferees dealt with enhancing the role of the Islamic Development Bank in assisting member states in a sustainable recovery from the ongoing impact of the emerging Corona pandemic, and efforts to combat poverty, build resilience and create job opportunities for young people.

The conference also discussed implementing the national development plans of member states, stimulating green economic growth and mobilizing additional resources for development.

According to the statement, the Governor of the Central Bank reviewed the government's plans in the short and medium terms to revive the economy and achieve the goals stated in the government program, and the role of the Central Bank in creating job opportunities through its multiple development initiatives.

Brent crude futures rose 13 cents, or 0.2%, to $73.16 a barrel at 0619 GMT, while US West Texas Intermediate crude futures were down 4 cents, or 0.1%, at $69.95 a barrel.

Deputy Parliament Speaker Bashir Al-Haddad said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “the sessions of the House of Representatives will be held after the quorum is completed.”

He pointed out that “the Presidency did not succeed in holding a session, despite setting the date for more than once, due to the lack of a quorum and the reason for the preoccupation of a large number of deputies running for the upcoming elections in electoral campaigns.”

He added, “The Presidency decided to suspend the salary of absent deputies, and we will return to work in the event that the quorum is not repeated.”
