Member: So, Iraq passing the budget. Praying this is the milestone that we were awaiting

Member: I believe we will see the IQD rate change on the Forex by Sunday

MZ: I hope you are right. May not be that soon though My gut says they may need a couple days to watch everything settle. And then they pull the trigger…..Just a guess. But listening to banking contacts – it could be sooner than I think .

Member: the budget might have been passed but still needs to be signed. could sign today, tomorrow or up to 15 days, after that I think it becomes law!

Member: Wow- this week is flying…..hoping today is the day we are waiting for….Come on Iraq- Pass that budget!!!.

Member:  Guess the vote will be 12:00 EST?

Member: Finance committee votes at 6pm!!!

MZ: They are at this point expecting the vote to be at noon est……All eyes are on that one. This is one of the last steps.

MZ: I do not expect a rate in the budget. But, there is a mechanism in the budget for them to change the rate. And I would not be surprised to see the new rate passed very close on the budgets heels. Based on the chatter coming out of Iraq this makes sense.

Member: THE Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) will from today start selling foreign currency on the interbank market through commercial banks,

MZ: Buckle up- We are starting to see all kinds of crazy things. Including pulling currencies from circulation  on forex and freezing some. I think we have hit critical mass. We are watching some crazy things.  I believe it is all part of the domino effect that is happening.
