Clare:  Urgent  Parliament Presidency sets date for resuming sessions

The Parliament Presidency set, today, Friday, the date for resuming sessions next week after the completion of the population census operations in the country.

The media department of the House of Representatives stated in a statement received by {Euphrates News} that "the Presidency of the House of Representatives affirms its full support for conducting the general population and housing census 2024, and urges the representatives to direct and encourage citizens in their areas to cooperate with the field teams affiliated with the Ministry of Planning to accomplish their tasks with the aim of making the census operations that will be conducted on the 20th and 21st of this month a success."

Clare:  Spain confirms cooperation with Iraq to establish Basra-Sharm El-Sheikh railway line

Spain confirmed, on Thursday, its strong support for Iraq's strong return to the World Trade Organization and its efforts to do so, while indicating that cooperation with Iraq is not limited to railways, but rather in other fields and there are joint projects.

The Director General of International Trade and Investment in the Kingdom of Spain, Elisa Varela, said in a statement reported by the official news agency, and seen by "Al-Eqtisad News"

Clare:  Planning: We will start the census next Thursday.. and the Ministry of Interior announces the start date of the curfew and those exempted from it

The Ministry of Planning announced that it will begin conducting and implementing the population census starting next Thursday.

 The head of the Central Bureau of Statistics at the Ministry of Planning, Diaa Awad Kazim, said in a joint press conference with the Ministry of Interior: “The population census will continue until December 10, and the 20th and 21st of this month will be for the census of family members,” indicating that “the enumerators will visit families more than once, and the curfew will gradually be lifted from the areas where the census is being conducted.”

Clare:  Iraqi Parliament extends its legislative term until the ninth of next month

The Iraqi Parliament decided today, Thursday, to extend the legislative session for 30 days, starting from November 9 of this month.

This comes after the member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Mohammed Al-Khafaji, revealed to Shafaq News Agency that the current legislative session of the Council of Representatives ends on the 9th of this month, and that its extension for another month is subject to Article 58 of the Iraqi Constitution.

Clare:  Makkia: Iraq is heading towards a major investment marathon

The head of the National Investment Commission, Haider Makiya, confirmed on Wednesday that Iraq is heading towards a major investment marathon for many projects, while he indicated that funding from international institutions reduces the burden on the Ministry of Finance by granting loans for investment projects.

Makiya said in a statement reported by the official news agency, and seen by "Al-Eqtisad News", that "we found many economic visions in the first version of the Iraq Economic Forum"
