A parliamentary source revealed, today, Monday, the latest developments in the Emergency Support and Food Security Law.

The source told Al Furat News that: "The Parliamentary Finance Committee has now concluded its meeting on the Food Security Law after completing the law from a technical point of view."

He pointed out that "issuing a directive for the heads of the parliamentary blocs to hold a meeting at the house of Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi regarding the food security law."

The source suggested that "the voting session on the law will be postponed until next Wednesday until the final position is decided by the blocs." LINK

Samson: The National Union comments on the oil law: Our position is with the constitution and its appeal

The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan commented Sunday, on the Kurdistan Judicial Council's rejection of the Federal Court's decision regarding the export of oil.

The official of Baghdad organizations in the Union, Rabha Hamad, said in an exclusive statement to "Mawazine News", that "the union's position is with the constitution and resorting to it, so the parties must sit at the dialogue table and meet to deal with the matter."

She added that "the solution to the issue is to legislate the oil and gas law," noting that the Federal Court law is binding and can be applied through understanding and legislating the law by returning to the constitution. LINK

Samson: A delegation from the Kurdistan Regional Government to Baghdad tomorrow, (today) Monday

The Kurdistan Regional Government announced Sunday, that it has decided to send a negotiating delegation to Baghdad to maintain dialogues with the federal government in order to guarantee the constitutional rights of the region.

A statement by the Government's Information and Information Department, received by Shafak News Agency, stated that with the aim of perpetuating the dialogues between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the federal government and in order to guarantee the constitutional rights of the people of the region

Do you all know the importance and implications as to how vital the the oil contracts moving from Kurdistan to Baghdad is to the HCL/Oil & Gas which is the backbone to the "Purchasing Power" the citizens have been asking for?

What did we all state so many times as to how "Citizens Entitlements" is included in the Food Security Law? To be honest with you I would not be surprised if a rate came out next week.

This FSL is the real deal people. You don't have to ponder and wonder around the gray area as you can put as much emphasis as you want on this FSL and not be dismayed or bewildered by any other jargon about how this will assist in pushing out the exchange rate.

MilitiaMan: As stated before the world is watching this like a hawk. The road to take would seem to have the impasse sorted and move on and away from the dissolution of the parliament.

It would be in the eyes of the region and the world a more unified, credible and legitimate way if you will in forming the new government, however, the dissolution and granting more powers to the prime minister are also constitutional and could be accepted..

The latter may be the way they go. Be sure though the threat of losing immunity may make things get real and fast for those that may have dirty hands. Dissolution may very well clean the slate of corruption and that actually maybe the best way to go.. It is their choice..MM

On Saturday, the economist, Nabil Al-Marsoumi, revealed a quick way to pass the 2022 budget law without legal problems.

Al-Marsoumi said in a Facebook post that I saw / the information /: “The 2022 budget can be approved by amending the Financial Management Law, Article 13 first, which allows only spending at a ratio of 12/1 and the inclusion of a new article in its place that allows the caretaker government and at the request of Parliament to present the budget.” He stressed that "this simple amendment will solve the problem."

Samson: What is the choice of independents in light of the political impasse? Arab explains

Independent MP Hussein Arab clarified today, Wednesday, about the option of dissolving the House of Representatives, stressing that it is a last political solution in the event that political boycotts continue.

In a statement to the National News Center, Arab said, "The option to dissolve Parliament is very difficult, and if we do not find quick and final solutions to end the political blockage, we may resort to it as an alternative and last political option."

He added that "if the government is not formed and its file is resolved during the next month, most members of the House of Representatives may resort to the decision to dissolve the House of Representatives."

The Snod: Just a quick chime in…it’s frustrating to watch, but personally, staring at the Iraqi political theatre will only frustrate you. There are signs of considerable leverage over the Iraqi/ Iranian dialogue that leaves me very hopeful. 1. Iraq has been cleared of Ch. 7 by whom I believe to be a conglomeration of the most powerful people on the planet.

They know what is going on from the Iranian side and it didn’t stop them from dropping the bankruptcy. 2. We are all caught up in the Central Bank Digital Currency system. And I do mean pretty much all of us—US, Europe, and the ME. This is no longer conjecture, conspiracy, or theorization. Biden signed off on it himself. The USA has been given White Papers just like Iraq.

No nutty hi-jinks from Iran or Iraqi parliamentarians have the leverage to stop this. Perhaps, our biggest clues of how the timing of this will work out in Iraq to go digital may be all the discussions they are having over gas and electricity with Iran. It would be most advantageous to tie commerce with Iran if possible. Isn’t it interesting that these dialogues have picked up.

Not to mention, China has showed up again. People will show up again at the end if they feel like they are about to completely lose out.
