Friday 05, February 2021 15:45 | Economical  Views: 433  Baquba / NINA / Economic specialist Jamal Shaker ruled out dropping zeros from the Iraqi currency because it leads to the collapse of the country's economy and the Iraqi dinar.

He told the correspondent of the Iraqi National News Agency (NINA) today that removing the zeros from the Iraqi currency needs a strong economy and a hard currency in order to be able to re-evaluate the price of the dinar, and this is unlikely in light of a collapsed economy,

but the only treatment to gradually strengthen the exchange rate of the Iraqi dinar is an economic plan and exploitation Natural resources, activating investment, controlling outlets, developing oil fields, and completing the large FAO project.

NORV  Floating would harm the economy right now..without exports and a private sector, the dinar would devalue. Until they pass laws, create a private sector and invite foreign investment and diversify Iraq will continue to struggle. Only Iraq can change it. In the meantime, we wait.

Sudan's Acting Finance Minister said in an interview this week that the country will make a decision to float its currency when it has sufficient foreign reserves, and that it is also in talks with several parties to obtain loans and grants .
