Tishwash: Member in Parliamentary Finance: Every day, a new node in the budget is expected … and the date of its approval is expected
A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee expected a new date for voting on the fiscal budget bill for 2021.
“Unfortunately, every day, a new node appears in the budget,” Sherwan Mirza told Al-Furat News, stressing the continuing disagreements over the bill between the political blocs.
“The budget will be approved this week,” he added.
Yesterday, Sunday, the House of Representatives failed again to vote on the 2021 budget despite reports of an agreement on the Kurdistan region’s share.
A representative source told {Euphrates News} that “despite the agreement on the share of the Kurdistan region, which was the budget knot, the differences moved to other materials such as contracts, job grades, the dollar exchange rate, the displaced, and the reconstruction of devastated areas.”
The budget is estimated at 128 trillion dinars (about 89 billion dollars), against a deficit of 29 trillion dinars. link

Nader said, in a press statement, that “Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi and heads of the blocs in a meeting on reading the articles of the budget bill, and that the differences that existed in the past no longer exist now.”
He pointed out that “in the event that the meeting of Al-Halbousi, the Finance Committee and the ministers ends about reading the budget articles without any problems, then this evening the voting session will be held on the draft budget law, and Kurdish representatives in Baghdad in general will attend the session.”
Nader said, “There is no longer a problem with the Kurdistan region’s share of the budget, and that what is present is more related to the price of the dollar and the dinar in the draft law.”
The Kurdish MP concluded that “he does not believe that there is a problem regarding the quorum for holding the session, because all parties are satisfied and the differences have been greatly reduced.”
The Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Bashir Al-Haddad, announced that the quorum has been completed for the voting session on the federal budget law for the fiscal year 2021.
The head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party’s parliamentary bloc, Vian Sabri, has confirmed that the quorum has been completed for the parliament session devoted to passing the fiscal budget for 2021.
It is hoped The House of Representatives announces shortly after a session to pass the federal budget bill for 2021 or postpone it to another notice. link

Breitling Question: [My big worry when the time comes to cash out is that the currency traders are the only avenue for exchanging the dinar. Currently they are getting around 20% of that. Is that a fact?] Yes it is. Every business model there is you charge 20%...you get a 20% return at a minimum. They're not doing anything out of what everybody else is doing. [If that is so, who can we trust?]. Banks. Banks will be competing for the U.S. dollar...I bought all of my currency from a bank. I didn't buy it from a currency trader. [post 1 of 2....stay tuned]
Breitling I think it was at 1 or 2 percent charge or whatever it was...don't worry about it. Once there's value added to it and people start to exchange and they [banks] see they will be able to make money off of the exchange...they are going to fight for your currency. Not only that but the traders that are out there where a lot of people bought their currency are going to be fighting for the currency. Period end of story. It's going to be a competition and you're going to be sitting in the driver's seat. That's not going to be a problem. [post 2 of 2]
