He told the National Iraqi News Agency ( NINA ) that: The general budget in 2022 will achieve a surplus, especially if the average annual oil barrel increases to be at least 75 dollars.

Saleh added: This surplus will be directed in two directions, the first: building a precautionary financial account called the “budget stability account,” which is the government’s foreign reserve to counter the fluctuations of public budget revenues in the coming years, and it is called the “budget stability fund to achieve financial sustainability.”

After A Rally, Oil Returns To The Red Zone

US West Texas Intermediate crude futures fell 0.3 percent to $83.55 a barrel, by 01:43 GMT.

Brent crude futures also fell 0.2 percent to $85.79 a barrel, after rising 0.5 percent on Monday.

"The outlook for a cooler November has energy traders bracing for a very tight market with unprecedented demand this winter," Edward Moya, chief market analyst at OANDA, said in a note.

For its part, Goldman Sachs said that a strong recovery in global oil demand could push Brent crude prices.

The Presidency Of The Republic Sends An Invitation To The Next Parliament

Today, Tuesday, Adviser to the President of the Republic, Abdullah Al-Zaidi, determined the fate of the corruption proceeds recovery law, while he invited the next parliament.

Al-Zaidi told the Iraqi News Agency: "The law for recovering corruption proceeds was written in the corridors of the Presidency of the Republic by Iraqi experts, judges, lawyers and university professors, in addition to the contribution of advisers to the Presidency of the Republic by law."

He added that "the bill to recover corruption proceeds was sent to the House of Representatives, and went to the Legal Committee in the House of Representatives, but it was not voted on in this parliamentary session," expressing his hope "that the law will be studied objectively and thoroughly by the House of Representatives in the next session with the possibility of The amendment, making observations, and sending it to the Presidency of the Republic again.

He stressed that "the law to recover the proceeds of corruption is important for Iraq and provides the state treasury with the money that was stolen, after it is voted on by the House of Representatives."

The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, stressed, earlier, that the draft law on the recovery of corruption proceeds represents a step that complements the basic role of the efforts of state institutions and integrating roles and coordination between them in combating corruption and recovering the proceeds of corruption,

as it includes proactive measures aimed at preventing corruption from occurring, and subsequent procedures that work to recover funds Corruption and its revenues, and to benefit from successful international experiences in combating corruption.

The head of the Council of Advisors in the Presidency of the Republic, Ali Shoukry, confirmed, earlier, that the law on recovering corruption proceeds crossed the loopholes and adopted international conventions, as the law received wide support from various active political blocs.
