The dollar exchange rate on the Central Kifah Stock Exchange in Baghdad recorded, today, 147,400 dinars per 100 dollars, which is the same price three days ago.

The prices of buying and selling dollars in exchange companies and local markets in Baghdad were relatively stable, as the selling price reached 148000 dinars and the purchase price 147000 dinars, for every 100 dollars.

Saturday 18 September 2021 13:04 The International Monetary Fund announced today, Saturday, its expectations that the ratio of Iraq's public debt to GDP will reach 70% during the year 2021.

According to a table issued by the Fund, "the ratio of public debt to Iraq's GDP amounted to 81.2% during a year 2020, and is expected to decrease this year 2021 to 69.7 percent.

He explained, "The decline in debt in Iraq comes after the rise in global oil prices following their decline during the past two years, which enabled Iraq to pay part of its public debts."

The fund indicated that "Sudan ranked first in the Arab world with the highest debt ratio compared to GDP, recording 262.5% in 2020, followed by Lebanon with 154.4%, and then Bahrain with 132.9%."

He continued, "Egypt came fourth with a debt ratio of 90.2% compared to its GDP, Jordan came fifth with 88.5%, then Tunisia came sixth with 87.6%, Yemen with 83.2 and Iraq eighth."

The Kurdistan Democratic Party is likely to return its headquarters to Article 140 areas at the end of this yearShafaq News / The Kurdistan Democratic Party suggested, on Friday, the return of its party and political headquarters to the disputed areas before the end of this year, while confirming the existence of full agreements and understandings for the gradual return of the party’s headquarters to those areas.

The Kurdistan Democratic Party was forced to leave its headquarters in the disputed areas covered by Article 140 of the Constitution after the military campaign launched by the Iraqi forces backed by the Popular Mobilization following the independence referendum held by the Kurdistan Region in September 2017.

Article 140 provides for the removal of demographic policies conducted by Saddam Hussein’s regime in the disputed areas in favor of the Arabs at the expense of the Kurds, and then census the population before the last step, which is to hold a referendum according to which the population will determine whether they wish to join the Kurdistan Region or remain under the administration of Baghdad .

It was scheduled to complete the implementation stages of the article until the end of 2007, but security and political problems prevented that.

The Federal Supreme Court ruled in 2019 that Article (140) of the Constitution of the Republic of Iraq should remain in force, stressing that this will continue until its requirements are implemented and the objective of its legislation is achieved.

The official of the 22nd branch of the Kurdistan Democratic Party – Garmian (Kalar, Kifri, Darbandikhan, Tuz Khurmatu and its affiliated districts), Akram Salih, said that “the return of the Democratic Party’s headquarters to Kirkuk, Tuz Khurmatu, Makhmour and Diyala regions is agreed upon according to gradual stages.”

The bank said in a statement reported by Bloomberg Agency, that its former president, Kristalina Georgieva, who is currently the head of the International Monetary Fund, “exercised pressure when she was the Executive Director of the World Bank, with the aim of strengthening China’s position in the ranking of economies.”

He added that in his investigation into the Doing Business report, the ethical issues were so “serious” that he decided to drop the series of reports entirely.

He noted that “the changes in China’s data in the Doing Business 2018 report appear to be the result of two different types of pressure exerted by the bank’s leadership on the Doing Business team.”

The World Bank confirmed that Georgieva and one of its advisors were involved in “pressing for specific changes to China’s data points, in an attempt to increase its ranking at the exact same time that the country was scheduled to play a major role in the bank’s capital increase campaign.”

Confirmation of the Ministry of Education’s implementation of the Council of Ministers’ decision (48 of 2020), issued by the letter of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers No. (SZL/10/1/7/11828) dated July 28, 2020, regarding the re-introduction of the scientific system And literary, and the abolition of the biological and applied system.

2. Amending paragraph (1) of the aforementioned cabinet decision, to start implementing the scientific and literary system for the year (2022-2023) instead of (2021-2022), with the amendment of school curricula and the provision of financial allocations for printing books.

Shafaq News/ As part of his visit to the United Kingdom, Kurdistan’s President Neshirvan Barzani visited on Friday evening the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, a Military school in Royal Military Academy, where young Kurdish and Iraqis study.

Kurdistan’s Presidency said in a statement that Barzani looked at the work and tasks of the Academic and talked with the officials about a program attended by participants from most countries of the world, including from Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.

According to the statement, Barzani met with the Iraqi participants and then held a special meeting with the Kurdish attendees. He wished them success and considered their participation is in the interest of Kurdistan.

The President concluded his visit by writing in the comments book for visitors of the Academy and praising its officials.

which means that talking about a deficit in it is illogical according to the language of numbers,” noting that “if the price of a barrel of oil is calculated at 70 dollars, this means that the annual income from oil revenues only from crude oil is 72 billion dollars by six billion dollars.

A dollar per month according to the monthly export schedules, and it may rise to larger numbers in the event of an increase in oil prices, and it may reach 75 billion dollars, meaning that the oil imports amount to 108 trillion dinars.

The Iraqi capital, Baghdad, is hosting the work of the second day of the International Conference for the Recovery of Stolen Funds and Smuggled Assets, under the auspices of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, with wide international participation.

Al-Abassi told Shafaq News Agency, “The fund owns files related to individuals and not to a state, and there is the United Nations Convention against Corruption, and the Arab World Anti-Corruption Convention, both of which include texts and a mechanism for how to obtain and recover the looted funds and return them to the state treasury.”

He added that “during the period of its establishment, the fund was able to recover funds from some countries, including 65 thousand dollars from Jordan, 25 million and 942 thousand dollars from Germany, while 11 million and 915 thousand euros were recovered from Spain.”   shafaq.com

Shafaq News/ Kurdistan's first solar power plant will be opened in Mergasur, Soran independent county, the Region's Minister of Electricity, Kamal Muhammad Saleh, said on Thursday.

The Minister's comments came in a statement to the press at the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony of an electric power plant in Erbil.

"Kurdistan has taken serious measures to benefit from the renewable energy sources. It is a new experience in the Region," he said.

"The power plant sought to be installed in Rezan area in Mergasur will be functioning at a capacity of one Megawatt," the Minister said, "several projects are underway to secure 24/24 electricity to the citizens."

The Undersecretary indicated that the plan included emphasizing the necessity of developing the fields that are managed by the national effort outside the licensing rounds, reconsidering the development plans, and conducting a tripartite seismic survey for the fields for which this survey was not carried out in a manner that ensures an increase in oil and gas production capacities.

For his part, Director General of the Oil Exploration Company Agency, Basem Muhammad Khudair, said that the Oil Exploration Company presented in this meeting its five-year plan, which included two main axes, the first, the bilateral and triple seismic survey plan, expanded from the northern to southern governorates, and the exploratory drilling plan, which aims to add new promising reserves. for oil and gas.

Khudair added that the plan indicated the need for joint collective action to provide the requirements that achieve the required goals, including drawing the road map, and the obligations of the extractive companies and the Oil Exploration Company, especially with regard to the exploratory drilling plan, while the Director General of the Department of Reservoirs and Oil Fields Development said that the Minister of Oil stressed the importance of the national effort in implementing a large part of these development plans and programs, including the development of the Bin Omar oil field in Basra Governorate, in order to maximize the national production of light oil and to invest the gas associated with oil operations in supplying electric power stations, with emphasis on the importance of the large and effective role of the Iraqi Drilling Company in Execution of the exploratory drilling plan that has the necessary tools to implement the requirements of this plan.

As for the Director General of the Central Oil Company, Qaddouri Abdel Salam, he stressed that the meeting stressed the necessity of coordinating plans to increase future production, with the requirements of the global oil market and the local need in coordination with the Oil Marketing Company, noting that the National Oil Company will hold a comprehensive workshop to discuss exploration plans.
