Samson:  Abdul-Mahdi points out the possibility of dissolving the Iraqi government and handing it within hours

The Prime Minister of Iraq, Adel Abdul Mahdi, that the budget must be approved quickly 2020 to prevent the disruption of resources of the working sectors.

Adel Abdul Mahdi, in a speech on Tuesday, on his vision for options to meet the demands of the demonstrators, said that leaving the country without direct administration enters the country in a dangerous spiral, noting that there are mechanisms to dissolve the government and delivered within hours through the House of Representatives.

He hinted that there are demands to change the Constitution and the replacement of the Electoral Commission and this cannot be without a government, and that going to the Constitution and legal contexts is better than going to the unknown. "Many economic, political and social mistakes have not been properly and radically addressed," he said.

He added, "The Council of Ministers submitted an amendment to the elections of provincial councils aimed at redressing the independents," as he considered that "the pressure of the demonstrations led to the acceptance of deferred projects were easily passed." He stressed the need to "go to achieve the legitimate demands politically, economically and service."  LINK

Samson:  Parliament sets next Sunday a date for passing new reform packages

The deputy of the Kurdistan Islamic Group, Salim Hamza, on Wednesday, set a date next Sunday for a meeting of the House of Representatives, indicating the session will be allocated to pass new reform packages as well as the law of retirement.

Hamza said in a statement to / information / that "the Presidency of the House of Representatives set on Sunday as a date for the parliament session to discuss several topics." He added that "the political situation does not bear further procrastination in resolving the file, especially the demands of demonstrators and the parliament must pass all requests."

Hamza explained that "the session will be devoted to support the government in passing the reform packages recently approved, as well as to discuss the latest political developments and pass the pension law."   LINK

Godlover:  This article is encouraging. Seems past articles stated only discussing the reform packages & now this one implies the reform packages have been approved & are hoped to be passed in this next Sunday session.....  

Iggy:  first thing that came to mind was...hope the HCL is in there...(smile)

Raptor:  IMO - the auctions for Sunday were done yesterday and now this vote in parliament scheduled for this Sunday.....hmmmm. Coincidence???? 

Mr.Harfax:  Something is definitely up.  Can't see any record of the auctions getting treated like this and I think we all agree this situation does not bear further procrastination...

Samson:  The region disrupts official working hours next Saturday on the occasion of the Prophet's birthday

The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) announced on Wednesday the suspension of official working hours on Saturday.

The government spokesman Gottiar Adi said in a statement seen by (information), "The holiday of the birth of the Prophet will be on Saturday."

He added that "the next Sunday will be a formal time in all institutions and government departments."

Samson:  Oil amounts to $ 50 per barrel in next year's budget

Oil Ministry announced Wednesday, for informing the Ministry of Finance to adopt the price of 50 dollars a barrel in the federal budget for next year 2020.

Samson:  US Commerce Secretary: Partial trade deal with China a good start

The US Secretary of Commerce stressed the great progress in the partial trade agreement with China, noting that it will be a new beginning of a stronger deal

The first phase of the US-China trade deal is widely expected to be signed later in the month

"We hope that the first phase of the trade deal is a gesture to many big deals," Wilbur Ross told reporters at a regional summit in Thailand on Tuesday

Ross said the initial trade deal would reduce tensions and boost China-US confidence as well as global trade confidence
