Member: It’s a great time to be alive …….We are almost there.

Member: What news do you have for us today Mark?

Member: Are we waiting for the Iraq census to be finished? I believe it starts on the 20th or so and goes for several days. Iraq gov is shut down and there will be a curfew during those days

MZ: I have not heard we have to wait for the census to be done.

Member: Still on an RV high from the “glitch” or “testing” yesterday!!!! Whoo hoo!!! Nadar latest video actually says it’s going to keep happening as it’s proof it’s in forex.

Member: Nader is saying the rate is changing up and down because dinar is on forex being traded by banks

Member: GoldiLocks, mountain goat & Nader believe that January is go time for IQD, then we see IQD flux on google and rumors Sudani said he wants it done by Dec 10 but then Dec 31 auctions to end…thoughts?

Member: in Iraq- Sudani said the auctions would end by the end of the year. Doesn’t mean they can’t end earlier.

MZ: Not a huge amount on the bond side today. I did speak with one of my of my largest bond folks who said they have not received their 1% yet but they are very much convinced at the highest level that this will be done in the calendar year of 2024.  Of course none of know the date.

Member: Even if we have to wait until Jan 1st…..I am not giving up…

MZ: I have another contact who believes things will be wrapped up in the next 7 days. I will take either one……but hope for sooner rather than later.

MZ: out of Iraq: “Al Sudani stresses Iraq’s sovereignty and cooperation with the region to resolve outstanding files.” This is in the Erbil region. They are sitting down to work out their final things. Sudani is pointing out to them that Iraq is sovereign. That is my favorite word in articles I am reading today.

MZ: “President of the Republic and the Crown prince of Kuwait affirm strengthening relations and resolving outstanding files”  they are saying they have mutual interests and want to strengthen things. Why is this important? Settlements from the Iraqi –Kuwaiti war. This is one of the things that has to be completely resolved as they move forward.

MZ: “ Saadi Ahmed Bureh : the Census should have been carried out after the implementation of article 140” After?  HCL? Has it already been implemented? Am I missing something? I think they are telling us something.

Member: Remember Many times things are not printed in Iraq until after it’s already done.

Member: there are sure lots of articles and economist now talking about ending the Fed and gold backed currency…..That is exciting.

Member: Lots of things happening…….all over…..and good things finally – not just bad

MZ: Yes we can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Member: I'm thinking today would be a great day to retire. could we please flip the switch.

Sandy Ingram  Zimbabwe's new currency is set to trade on the Forex market.  [Why do] We discuss why we watch the ZIG currency so closely...when most of are IQD investors [?]...We watch the Zimbabwe's currency because, like Iraq...Zimbabwe had a currency where it took $1.47 to make one Zimbabwe dollar.  (Iraq's currency was over 3 IQD to $1.00 before 2003).   Like Iraq, the country ran into hardship and was devalued and spiraled downward.   We watch Zimbabwe and other developing countries currency for ideas on how Iraq may handle its currency revalue, float, reinstatement or central bank digital currency...Zimbabwe has lots of gold and Iraq has lots of oil...Zimbabwe plans for its gold-backed currency to trade on the Forex market.  However they did not tell us when this event will happen...

"When we reach the point where everyone is headed towards using the official and fundamental channels in the transfer process then we find no room for there to be two prices for the dollar."  That's when he'll make his move.  If he's not ready now, when will he be?  I don't know.  That's his call.  It's on him to know the marketplace.  When is the safest time to do it?  He's saying over the passage of time it gets shorter and shorter because the people are using the system properly.  Once he changes the exchange rate I think that market, the two prices, go away like that,  *snap*.

Member: Good evening Mark, mods and all yall fine folks! Exciting day for the IQD!!!

Member: I hear They are testing things again. The exchange rate on Google went to .076 for a few minutes.

MZ: Yes it did show that for awhile and then went back to 1310…..In other words moved a couple of decimal places….This is important. We can’t exchange yet but it shows they are testing the system. At this rate 1 million IQD would be worth about $76,000!!!  Testing is underway.

Member: I heard the real value of the Dinar will not be on the Forex until after we start.

Member: Why would the test rate fluctuate so much? Couldn’t they just adjust it by a coupe of numbers to test it?

MZ: No, because they test it against a basket of goods. It’s like when you throw a big rock in a pond –you see the waves or ripples…..if you throw 2 rocks the waves or ripples hit or overlap each other….Now they are talking about changing many rates so that would be many ripples or waves . They need to see what the rate will do with all the other currencies it is related to.

Member: How will the good and products change price in Iraq once the new exchange rate comes out? Like the price of bread at the $1310 rate vs say $3.50 rate

MZ: We heard about 9-10-months ago in Iraq that they created a committee to help in stores, markets ect….to help them reprice goods and services with the fluctuation of the currency price. They have a whole division inside the government to help with that process.

MZ: Lets get to some news. “The Prime Minister is to visit the Kurdistan region tomorrow . He revealed his agenda of talks”  This has HCL written all over it. All the HCL things that had stalled- Sudani is going there in person to the Kurdish region to get them off of “Stuck”

MZ: I hear there is a massive push right now to push the HCL agreements through so they can change the valuation. This news really fits with the flucuating exchange rates we saw today.

MZ: “ Jump in gold reserves: Iraq exceeds 150 tons of “Cash Gold” This is liquid and where they can spend dinars backed by gold

MZ: They also have the UN a little off kilter – Iraq is carrying more gold then the guidelines say they should. I think Iraq is preparing for something.

MZ: “CBI announces program in dollar control measures”  They are becoming safe, secure and stable.

Member: My guess for the new Dinar rate is $5.12

MZ: That would now surprise me.

MZ: Nothing fresh from bonds and F&P’s (Fines and penalties)

Member: Any word from your redemption center folks?

MZ: I usually don’t hear from them until later in the week…but I will make it a point to see if there is any chatter going on this week already.

His advisor: Al-Sudani's visit to Kurdistan focuses on these files

The Prime Minister's Advisor, Subhan Mala Jiyad, confirmed that the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani to the Kurdistan Region will focus on the pending files between the center and the region and the process of forming the government.

In a television interview seen by Al-Maalouma Agency, Jihad said, “The visit is important and comes at a very necessary and sensitive time for Iraq and the Kurdistan Region in general, especially since Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani was able to establish a strong relationship based on mutual trust between the center and the region during the past two years of the Iraqi government’s term.”

He added, “This relationship today has become a point of pride, whether in the center or in the region, and is built on mutual trust, frankness and transparency. Therefore, this visit comes in the context of this issue and in the context of resolving the pending problems, if there are pending problems between Baghdad and Erbil, and also between the parties of the region, as it encourages shortening the time in forming the next regional government.”

He continued, “There will be a meeting between the Iraqi Prime Minister as well as with the leadership of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan in Sulaymaniyah, and certainly one of the main topics currently being discussed is the issue of forming the Kurdistan Regional Government and helping to form it as quickly as possible."

Al-Sudani's advisor pointed out that "the center needs a harmonious and strong regional government, especially in light of the good and balanced relationship between the region and the center, because the center also needs this government to be in a way that helps develop the relationship."  link

Mnt Goat  I see what is happening in Iraq as a final “cleanup” from the sanctioned days and war years...there is going be some huge change in policy of currency exchange for international trade with Iraq...why else would the CBI make such a drastic change in policy with the currency auctions if the US didn’t tell them to “ditch the dollar” and do it now. ...But in order to do it Iraq needed the reforms... reforms come first, then they can rebuild their economy and somewhere in the new economy building phase, they strike out and delete the zeros and reinstate...So, come the end of 2024 don’t you think these reforms will be ‘good enough” to let the dinar finally get to FOREX? I was told this is their target.

Frank26  [Bank story]  This time we didn't go down, we just called [the bank]...We said we want to see if we can exchange some currency and he said what kind of currency?  We said Iraqi dinar.  He didn't even skip a beat, he said, well I'm not sure about that one right now let me talk to my colleagues and I'll get back to you.  Easy-peasy, we were just kind of shocked.  He put me on hold and came back and he very calmly said sir…. with the amount that you told us you have, the Brinks truck will come to your house and they will do the exchange right there in your house and then you'll be good to go.  It'll be in your bank.  You'll be able to verify it on your phone, in your app that shows your banking information.  He said you'll be able to validate on a computer, all that jazz, that the money is in your account...They're saying we should have and accountant and tax attorney.  They have a list of all that, that they'd be more than happy to share. I said no thank you I have all that covered...It was amazing.  Our jaws dropped...This was [last] Monday by the way...

Hi guys. I’m praying that this is our week as according to all my sources this is our week. This has been so stressful for me as I can imagined for all of you as well. Tomorrow there is going to be meetings for quite a lot of private contracts as they expect to receive the GO sign by tomorrow Mon. 11 Nov.

The Precatorias are also ready to go this week just as many other platforms. I’ve been told that not to expect things to happen straight away for everyone as it is a process as it might take up to 10 days for the process to finish.

As for the 4B group we should also receive the GO sign as well. Notifications should hit your email by tomorrow Mon. 11 Nov. Please keep an eye on your emails. Please God let it happen. Just remember first of all I’m only a messenger as I have no control of this as the same goes to the owners of the platforms as they have no control of it . It’s a military operation.

MZ: I did finally get a bond update. It wasn’t as fun, as cool or as great as I hoped it would be. But, He said “look, I can’t tell you anything  anymore. I can just tell you that you won’t be asking me these stupid questions with in the next 9 days. I don’t know what to take from that one but I would like to think it means that somewhere between now and then they get paid, we get paid and everybody gets paid.

MZ: That was just one of many bond folks……the only one responding.

MZ: But some good stuff coming out of Iraq. Could they be hiding something right before our eyes. “Planning: We will start the census next Thursday . the ministry of the interior announces the date of the start of the curfew which is excluded from it. “  They are excluded from curfew since they will going around counting people. And we know there is a 3 day break from parliament as everybody travels for the census. . They will have strict curfews to make sure nobody is counted twice.

MZ: Almost sounds like the times of Christ with the census…..they had to go back to their homes to be counted. That is what Iraq is doing. Wouldn’t that be a great time to pull the trigger.

MZ: We know the census will be done but they just wont release the numbers until December 10th I believe. Sounds like a key date for them.

Member: Lots of news... If Sudani said RV by the tenth of December we got to go next week or two. Staying positive and ready!

Today, Monday (November 11, 2024), Parliament Speaker Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani discussed with US Ambassador Alina Romanowski the cooperation and partnership between the two countries.

The media office of the Speaker of the Council of Representatives stated in a statement received by "Baghdad Today" that "Al-Mashhadani received today, Monday, the US Ambassador to Iraq, Alina Romanowski, and she offered congratulations on the occasion of Al-Mashhadani assuming the position of Speaker of the Council of Representatives, and renewed the announcement of the United States' support for Iraq and its government in various fields."

He added that "the two sides discussed topics of common interest," indicating that "the meeting discussed enhancing cooperation and partnership between the United States of America and Iraq and studying the situation in the Middle East." According to the statement, Al-Mashhadani stressed  link

Tishwash:  Al-Hikma: Al-Sudani's government adopted 3 paths in dealing with Middle East tensions

 Hikma Movement leader Furat Al-Tamimi confirmed today, Monday (November 11, 2024), that Al-Sudani's government has adopted 3 paths in dealing with Middle East tensions.

Al-Tamimi said in an interview with Baghdad Today, "The tensions in the Middle East cannot be contained without stopping the bloodshed in Palestine and Lebanon by the Zionist entity, which is practicing arrogance and horrific crimes against civilians, and statistics reveal to us rivers of blood that bleed every day due to the bombing of neighborhoods, villages and towns."

He added that "Al-Sudani and most of the political forces tried to stay away from involvement in the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, but they provided great humanitarian and relief support to our brothers in Palestine and Lebanon, which focused in its content on the call of the religious authority through the dispatch of relief convoys by land and air."

He pointed out that "Al-Sudani and his government adopted a policy of neutrality as a working method for the ministerial cabinet in dealing with the conflict, but in return we do not rule out that Baghdad will be targeted by the Zionist entity, so the Foreign Ministry must move and invest its relations with the White House to deter any attempt in this direction because any aggression against Iraq will have major consequences and will push the region towards more tensions, considering what is happening now in Palestine and Lebanon as crimes of genocide, and this is the opinion of all countries of the world without exception."

Iraq played a decisive role in calming tensions in the region, and affirmed its continued support for efforts to find political solutions to the conflict that has been raging in the Middle East for more than a year since the start of the Israeli aggression on Gaza in October 2023.

The escalation in the region escalated as the Israeli army launched an open war on Lebanon, including air strikes and a ground attack on the south of the country, since early October 2024.

The situation has also seriously deteriorated with Iran and Israel exchanging unprecedented air strikes last month targeting military sites in both countries, raising tensions to new and dangerous levels, amid an exchange of threats of retaliation and counter-retaliation and expanding the scope of the war to include the entire region.  link

Member: How much longer can they push this out, too many barely surviving..

MZ: We do not know the timing but, there is a massive push in Iraq to go before Dec. 10th. They say that’s when they want to be complete – so IMO they need to go sometime this month. That makes the most sense.

Member: Another guru said redemption center appointments should start on 26th, why would they start on Thanksgiving week?

Member: I would be Thankful to see the RV that week for sure. Or sooner!

Member: Many are saying that by Tues.12 Nov. we should have a shotgun start.?

Member: I listened to militiaman last nite...he doesnt think it will be 2025...but VERY SOON now!

Member: Goldilocks doesn’t think it will go until first part of 2025 because that is when some banking laws take affect.

MZ: Goldilocks may be right……but we will see.

MZ: So far this morning it is very quiet on the bond side. But that is to be expected. On the west coast they don’t start moving around until 2-3 pm est in the afternoon . I hope to have a very solid update on the bond side this evening.

MZ: CMKX also silent over the weekend.

Member: So no RV until Trump officially takes office on Jan 20th?

MZ: I have simply not heard that ……80-90%  of my contacts believe we will be going before Dec 10th. There are a few outliers opinion that we wont be going until Trump is in….but the overwhelming majority believe we will go between now and Dec. 10th.

Member I beleive we are on the threshold.

MZ: In Iraq they were very busy and working over the weekend. That is where I am going to focus this morning.

MZ” “Government spokesman reveals the most important features of the Sudanese and Trump communication”  This article really gets into the discussion. Trump believes Iraq can be a very calming influence in the region. They had spoken a number of times already. I believe at least 3 times since Trump was elected. The two sides stressed moving forward with relations between our countries and they also talked about money, technology and Iraq’s role in it…..you have to know Trump has a interest in iraqs ascension and change in Value. It would bring financial stability to the US and peace and prosperity to many parts of the world. This is very encouraging.

MZ: Iraq is talking right now about how many things they can now move forward on now that they could not move forward with before – when they did not know which administration was going to be running the US. It seems the Iraqi people are excited about Trump being elected as now they know where they stand and can move forward with their reforms ……I found that very interesting as I read their weekend news articles. .

MZ: Benjamin Netanyahu also spoke at least 3 times with Trump on to bring things to a conclusion in Israel and end the conflict.

MZ: “ A Turning Point in fiscal policies-What happens after the dollar movement monitoring platform?” this is all about the auctions . They talk about the mechanisms in securing the US dollar for trade. How is it now going to function?  Well the Iraqi banks will be sovereign. They will be working with an organization in the US and this may shock people.

MZ: “The advisor for the Prime Minister announces the mechanisms of support of the US Treasury to Iraq” Not the Federal Reserve. So it’s the US Treasury in charge of the movement of money , securely moving money and handling loans to Iraq if any of them need forgiving or adjusting. So who is working with Iraq to make sure banks are modernized and secure?   The US Treasury.  No longer working with the Federal Reserve.

MZ: This is huge because we were told one of Trumps plans is to fold the Federal Reserve into the US Treasury and do away with the Fed as we know it now.

Member: I think this is huge…..and good by Jerome Powell.

Member:  Stock market news is talking about Warren Buffet is getting ready to go on a massive shopping spree when the market recorrects

MZ: That makes sense

MZ: “ Parliamentary Finance reveals a move to question the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq. We are working to change it” Iraq has some antiquated laws that Alaq is past the retirement age. Some say he should already be retired…..But parliament is working on changing that law so he can continue to work.I think this is important as they get close to changing their rate….

Member: Alaq needs to finish the RV that he started.  

MZ: “ Elon Musk Reposts call to end the Federal Reserve Bank” He says the Federal reserve bank has deviated from the constitution and this is another reason why we should “End The Fed” The constitution does not allow for the Federal Reserve. So they can remove it. Elon Musk and Judy Shelton is a big fan of this. There is also growing influence for this by Rand and Ron Paul. We will see “End the Fed” picking up speed.

Member: Come on QFS and new USN asset backed currency!!!!.

MZ: “Sudani heads to Saudi Arabia to participate in Arab and Islamic summit”  They are working on establishing peace in the middle east right now.  

MZ: In Vietnam: “ Vietnam Central Bank ready to sell US dollars to keep exchange rate stable” so they are going to sell US dollars and bring back in Vietnamese dong off the streets. What did we say about the pivot and auctions ending….A similar thing is happening in Iraq. They pull Dinar and dong off the streets to support its value. I believe they are about to change their exchange rates.

Member: MarkZ, IYO, is the VND going to RV at or above $!?

Member: Even if worst case scenario all currencies go 1 to 1 at the start……It will be a huge ROI  (Return on Investment) for all of us.

MZ: I still expect the dong to go at the same time.

Member: What is your gut prediction saying today Mark?

MZ: I am waiting for a bond update today before I give you that.

Member: Mark do you think some are the bond people are under an NDA?

MZ: Yes I do. But whether or not they have been paid- in all certainty I don’t.

Member: Do you think the Iranian Rial will go at the same time as the dong and dinar?

MZ: I do not think the Rial will be in the first basket. I wish it were- but do not think it is.

Today, Sunday, the Prime Minister's Advisor, Mazhar Mohammed Salih, announced the mechanisms of the US Treasury's support for Iraq since 2003, while he indicated the continuation of consultations with the US Treasury regarding combating money laundering.

Saleh told the official agency, which was followed by "Al-Eqtisad News": "The cooperation and coordination between Iraq and the US Treasury extends back to the first years since the change of the former regime," indicating that "the Treasury played an important supporting role in supporting the Paris Club agreement in 2004 concerned with writing off Iraq's debts called pre-1990 debts, and the presence of Treasury representatives in the Paris Club agreement secretariat helped ensure the writing off of 80% or more of the former regime's debts."

“The US Treasury succeeded in supporting infrastructure financing in Iraq through the conference held in the Spanish capital Madrid on October 23-24, 2003. Its primary goal was to mobilize financial support for the reconstruction of Iraq after the US-led invasion in 2003. Seventy countries and international organizations participated in the conference,” he added, explaining that “the conference managed to collect pledges amounting to about $33 billion, but a large part of these amounts was in the form of loans or technical support, and not all of it was direct financial aid.”

He explained that "the US Treasury contributed to establishing the Iraqi payments system in 2006 through a direct technical agreement with the Central Bank of Iraq to establish a wholesale payments system between the Central Bank on the one hand and the banks and the government in transferring funds and settling them electronically on the other hand, in addition to entering the era of settling bank checks electronically as well, which are matters in financial technology that are being introduced for the first time in our country,"

Noting that "from the history of the important assistance provided by the Treasury, it has played an important role in replacing the local, fast-forgery edition of the dinar that was issued during the nineties siege in the largest campaign witnessed by Iraq between late 2003 and early 2004 with the international edition of the dinar, according to the highest international technical specifications."

He stressed that "since the signing of the Strategic Framework Agreement in 2008 until today, there have been continuous consultations between representatives of the financial and monetary authorities in our country and the treasury to cooperate in combating money laundering and the proceeds of crime and terrorism in a manner that achieves governance and compliance for our financial and banking system as well as its optimal integration into the global financial and economic climate."  LINK

Tishwash:  Iraqi PM visits Kurdistan Region on Wednesday

Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, Iraqi Prime Minister, is set to visit Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, next Wednesday.

A government source told Shafaq News that al-Sudani will meet with Kurdish officials in the region during his visit to hold several discussions before heading to al-Sulaymaniyah province  link

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – Iraqi government with the help of the Central Bank of Iraq, do its best to increase the price of Iraqi dinar against US dollar, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, Iraq’s new premier, said in a press conference on Tuesday.

 “The interests of the needy were not taken into consideration in devaluing Iraqi currency. We tend not to repeat that in this cabinet,” he said.

Tackling endemic corruption in the country is one of the priorities of this cabinet, he said. The Iraqi government work with other neighboring other countries to return Iraq’s “stolen money,” he added.

Faced by financial crisis caused by low oil prices amid COVID-19 pandemic, the Iraqi Central Bank decided to devalue the currency, setting the exchange rate at 1,460 dinars per dollar to the public. Before the decision, each dollar was traded at 1,182 Iraqi dinars.

As Iraq’s market is heavily relied upon imports, the decision sparked public outrage and demonstrations, outcrying the rising prices of commodities. The former Finance Minister Ali A. Allawi argued that the rising commodity prices was part of the global inflation, defending the devaluation decision as it had increased the state revenue amid liquidity crisis.

Tishwash:  An agreement between (Hisabi) and (TBI) to open two new branches and install dozens of ATMs in Kurdistan

The Hesabi team and the Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI) have reached an agreement to speed up employee registration and card distribution procedures, as well as install ATMs across the Kurdistan Region to facilitate cash withdrawals.

Today, Thursday, November 7, 2024, the Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI) and the (Hisabi) team held their first meeting, where they agreed to expand the bank’s services to the employees of the Kurdistan Region, similar to other banks participating in the (Hisabi) project.

The agreed services include the opening of two new branches of the Trade Bank of Iraq in Erbil and Sulaymaniyah governorates, in addition to installing dozens of ATMs within “Hisabi” booths throughout the Kurdistan Region, with plans to distribute more than 10,000 (TBI) cards to employees.

The number of employees registered in the “My Account” project has so far reached about 700,000 employees, who will benefit from all financial and banking services provided by the eight banks participating in the project, including facilities for employees and salary recipients.

On Sunday, November 3, 2024, the Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI) announced the signing of a contract with the (Hisabi) project to localize the salaries of employees of the Kurdistan Region.

The bank explained in a statement that "this signing comes in line with the decisions of the Federal Supreme Court, and based on the directives of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, regarding the necessity of the Iraqi Trade Bank's participation in the process of localizing the salaries of employees of the Kurdistan Region."

Below are some of the services provided by the (My Account) banking project:

1- You can access hundreds of ATMs and withdraw all the user's money at once and for free.

2- The devices are available for use 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, allowing employees to withdraw their money at any time they see fit.

3- A variety of different bank loans and advances can be obtained.

4- Direct debit cards can be used to make purchases online and through card readers known as (PoS).

5- The system allows safe and reliable money transfers inside and outside the country.

6- You can access the bank’s mobile application to follow up on your account movements, and receive notifications on your phone when salaries arrive.    link

Frank26   [Iraq boots-on-the-ground report]   FIREFLY:Alaq is on television calling for the price of oil in the budget to be adjusted to $40.  It's currently at $70.  The only reason we see this happening is Alaq knows there is going to be a rate change... FRANK:  That's right, because of a new exchange rate that is coming and because of the oil that will be used in 2025 with the new exchange rate. 

Mnt Goat  My...CBI...contact...told me there is a planned meeting next week with the director Al Al-Alaq to review the status of the committee work and plan out the next phase of the project to delete the zeros. I was told that the CBI will no longer be supporting the currency auctions come the end of the year...she told me they are now working on many more foreign banks besides the already arranged four (4) U.S. banks that are going to also come into process of supporting the international conversion of dinar to dollars on payment of imports to Iraq. Why would these other banks want to exchange dinars if they were not going to be worth something and globally traded? ...This news was VERY good news for all of us. It tells us there is going be some huge change in policy of currency exchange for international trade with Iraq.

Clare:  Al-Sudani and Trump agree to coordinate to stop regional wars and meet soon

 Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani made a phone call today, Friday, with US President-elect Donald Trump, in which he expressed his congratulations to the President and the American people on the occasion of winning the elections, and the great confidence that the American people have given him.

The two sides also stressed, according to a statement by the Prime Minister's Office, a copy of which was received by {Euphrates News}: "The desire to proceed with the strategic partnership between the two countries, and to strengthen bilateral relations in ways that go beyond the security aspect, through close cooperation in the fields of economy, finance, energy, and technology."

The Prime Minister pointed out that he was "aware of Trump's words and promises during the election campaign, which included his commitment to ending wars in the region, and the two sides agreed to coordinate together to achieve this."

For his part, the US President-elect expressed his desire to work positively with the Prime Minister, and to meet soon to discuss expanding relations between Iraq and the United States of America, and to work on these common files.  LINK

MZ:  We start today with Matt and Lucas, at the 45-minute mark we will be joined by MM and crew to talk about the latest news out of Iraq.

Member: Happy 3 day weekend…..and Thanks to all the veterans for their service

Member: Morning folks! Anyone hear anything good?

Member: Good morning Militia man and crew

MZ: The articles coming out of Iraq are amazing this week.

MM: Little bits and pieces and things are happening fast and furious. There is a lot of people talking lately. Sudani, Alaq, many experts talking about digital currency, economy, money, energy, technology……

MZ: Foreign relations, and Sudani reaching out to Trump- and he is saying they want to meet ASAP- in person….

MM: I love it when they talk money. Sudani has been here for 2 years and obviously he has done a good job. The united States has been involved in Iraq for many years and many different administrations. Al-Sudani was in New York just a few months ago and we saw progress….we know Iraq is focusing on doing business ….The time is right for opening the development road project and Sudani has a budget he needs to open up and start spending….They have some time constraints

MM: The port of Faw opened up. And we are talking about the relationship between Iraq and the US. Things look positive.

MZ: One of the things I was eying: “ Association of Private Banks Financial inclusion rate increased to 48% “ So 48% of the people have embraced banking instead of holding cash under a mattress-which is not the most efficient way to handle finances.

MM: No its not. I think 48% is a big number. And they have 50,000+ Point of Sale (POS) machines across the country. They have 20 million accounts for electronic cards. We know they have put out 40 million new national cards. If they have a Real Effective Exchange Rate (REER) and build a road- people will come.

MM: With that development road – people and trade will come in droves.

MZ: And the Central banks through auctions have just sold a billion in USD and took in dinar to buy it.

MM: The push is big….Last night I did a video and this article was interesting to me “ In 5 days Iraq Central Bank sells more than a billion dollars”  and they say there is now no room for the parallel market or black market for dollars. This is huge from Al ALaq. Once they open the doors and change the REER then the dinar will then be stronger than the dollar. That is what Al-Sudani has said more than once. And that is what we are waiting for.

Member: Looks quite promising for Iraq

Member: Really hope we get a rate soon.

Member: IMO-if the money supply vs. foreign reserves is an indicator, they're currency should be at a much higher exchange rate than 3.22

MZ: “ MP (Member of Parliament) Likely to resolve 3 major laws this week. “ Are they hiding HCL in here??? They have extended the legislation until Dec. 10th which is Victory Day.

MM: They are talking about it today. Real Estate in Kirkuk is part of article 140 of the HCL. These laws are really important and they have already been read twice and they could be working on it right now and we wouldn’t know yet. It will be big news once it pops. I believe it is on the table and could happen at anytime during this session.

Member: They can’t broadcast their accomplishments or they would give away the timing…imo

MZ: And they generally don’t broadcast an accomplishment until its done.

MM: They do like to keep things tight. And try to lead us astray on many occasions. They do not broadcast every move they make because some of this is very sensitive. But its exciting to see them at this stage now.

MZ: Where do you feel like we are at?

MM: They have some things to take care of still. But I think we are watching to see the outcomes of these sessions of Parliament. They have to open up and expose the budget, and a lot of the things right now on the table are exchange rate oriented. They need the money for that Development Road project and I think we are knocking on the door .They are telling us these things are happening along with the delete the zeros project.

Member: I heard a seller say there was no more dinar to be had?

MZ: I know some sellers and they say it’s harder to get dinar to sell right now. I had one seller tell me that probably 90% of the dinar they are selling right now is dinar they bought back from people who have given up. So much of the dinar they are selling right now is recycled.

MM: I have heard that too.

MZ: If they are going to end the Auctions in 2024 like Alaq and Sudani have said….then something has to change

MM: They have it set up and I think they will turn that corner quickly.Everybody is waiting for this to happen. The pressure is on  . Iraq has a holiday tomorrow and this weekend is Veterans day for the US. Lets see what happens tomorrow.

Member: 10th December is victory day in iraq

Member: So, after they revalue, how long will we have to exchange our say 50K dinar note for $

Member: probably 10 days to make your appointment and 30 to exchange/redeem.

​​Member: Iraq citizens were given 90 days to replace Saddam currency back in Oct. of 2003
