Clare: Central Bank of Iraq "warns" against circulation of $1 million commemorative notes

The Central Bank of Iraq renews its warning against promoting commemorative notes of the "one million" US dollar denomination used to defraud citizens.

It stressed that the security and regulatory authorities will pursue those who promote these commemorative notes and take legal action against them. It pointed out that the highest denomination of the US dollar in circulation is the "100" dollar denomination.

It is  noteworthy that the aforementioned commemorative note is not circulated in global currency markets as it is issued by the American Millionaires Association, and this note is not considered cash because it is not issued by the US Federal Reserve and does not represent any financial instrument, and is used for gifting purposes only.

The Central Bank of Iraq warned in February 2020 against circulating the "one million" dollar denomination because it is a non-cash note.

The US Department of Defense and the Iraqi Ministry of Defense led the second US-Iraq Joint Security Cooperation Dialogue in Washington, D.C., on July 22-23, 2024, reaffirming their commitment to security cooperation and shared interest in regional stability.

The two delegations discussed a range of bilateral security issues under the 2008 U.S.-Iraq Strategic Framework Agreement and in recognition of our comprehensive partnership, with Defense Minister Thabet Al-Abbasi meeting with U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and representatives from the Defense Security Cooperation Agency, U.S. Central Command, the Department of State, and National Security Council staff.

The Iraqi delegation included the Chief of Defense Staff, who also met separately with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Charles Brown, the Director of the Counter-Terrorism Service, the Deputy Commander of the Joint Operations Command – Iraq, and other senior defense officials.

The U.S. and Iraqi delegations reaffirmed their commitment to developing Iraq’s security and defense capabilities and their determination to deepen security cooperation across a full range of issues to advance the two countries’ shared interest in Iraq’s security and sovereignty and regional stability.

The 2024 Joint Security Cooperation Dialogue builds on discussions held during Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani’s visit to Washington, D.C., in April of this year and the inaugural Joint Security Cooperation Dialogue last summer.

During the first Joint Security Cooperation Dialogue, the two sides decided to establish a bilateral Higher Military Committee to analyze three factors – the threat posed by ISIS, operational requirements, and the capability levels of the Iraqi Security Forces – to determine the future of the international military coalition in Iraq.

The dialogue continued during the Joint Security Cooperation Dialogue, building on HMC’s work over the past six months and in celebration of the upcoming 10th anniversary of the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS’s military mission in Iraq. A detailed joint statement on the future of the Global Coalition’s mission and presence in Iraq is scheduled to be issued shortly after HMC’s conclusion.

The United States and Iraq intend to continue consultations on enhancing bilateral cooperation to ensure the lasting defeat of ISIS after more than a decade of cooperation between the international coalition and Iraq.

Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar, noted the historic achievements of the coalition in Iraq and commended the millions of victims of ISIS, including hundreds of thousands of victims who suffered in the campaign to defeat ISIS in Iraq, such as members of the Iraqi security forces, including the Peshmerga, and partner forces around the world, including the United States. Both sides stressed the importance of Iraq continuing to provide support to the international coalition to defeat ISIS in Syria and around the world.

In addition, the two delegations reached an understanding on the concept of a new phase of the bilateral security relationship, which includes cooperation through liaison officers, training and traditional security cooperation programmes.

The delegations also discussed efforts to build the operational capacity of the Iraqi Security Forces through U.S. military assistance and security cooperation programs, including through Foreign Military Sales and Foreign Military Financing. The two sides stressed the importance of continued cooperation to ensure the sustainability of U.S.-origin military equipment used by the Iraqi Security Forces. The delegations emphasized the value of professional military education and technical training programs and decided to strengthen both.

They also explored opportunities to expand Iraqi participation in CENTCOM-led regional military exercises and strengthen Iraqi military relations with CENTCOM service component commands. The two sides also decided to begin work on a Memorandum of Understanding to provide an enhanced framework for their bilateral security relationship in the coming years, including mechanisms to ensure the continued defeat of ISIS.

In support of Iraq’s sovereignty and security, delegations reaffirmed that the advisory mission is in Iraq at the invitation of the Iraqi Government to support the Iraqi security forces in the fight against ISIS and to support and develop the Iraqi security forces, including the Kurdish security forces.

The Iraqi representatives reaffirmed their absolute commitment to protect US and coalition personnel, advisors, convoys and diplomatic facilities.

Delegations discussed the continued urgent need to return displaced persons and detainees currently in north-east Syria to their countries of origin and support their reintegration.  LINK

Militia Man  All this time they've been doing all these meeting in Washington.  About 48 hours ago they have come up with an agreement...to reduce forces...Alaq went to Washington about 10 days ago, unannounced visit.  He met with the US Treasury and the US Federal Bank, had to do with exchange rates...other currencies...They're going to be talking about...banking, finance, development, sovereign guarantees ... Ultimately, Iraq is going to have bilateral relations in security with the U.S. in finance, development, all those things.

Jeff   Everything is pointing to...August.  I really feel that's when the rate is changing...Everything seems to be hovered and centered around the nucleus of August being their accession to the World Trade.  Somewhere around mid-August.  That's when we're going to see most of their critical steps coming forward...It's amazing what's happening right now.  We're definitely in the period for the rate change. MZ: Don’t know about thousands….but I have some US Marshall contacts being scrambled to the DC area. Is it because they are short on security after yesterday’s Palestinian protests/uprising?  But I have been told there are many credible threats against the supreme court…..They could be sent there for protection.

MZ: So yes…there is a large scale movements of Marshalls and law enforcement being brought into DC right now.

Member: I hope they are going there to do mass arrests in DC. The cabal has to go.

MZ: There is a difference I reporting at the IRS…Mostly in systems and who they are allowed to pursue. Or not…..Almost as if they are going through major changes….Isn’t that interesting.

MZ: Bond news is all over. I get great news from one….then others are getting stonewalled….still needing final contracts. One of then told me they want all contracts out and delivered by August 1st  This doesn’t mean they are punting things….I was told a long time ago that only 30% of bonds need to be paid for us to move forward. Aug 1st is only 7 days away.

MZ: Bond rumors says we may have massive movement today and tomorrow….. But, I personally believe we should have already had it by now.

MZ: Still hearing the timeline is set for the US drawdown of troops in Iraq. In other words…Iraqis will now be taking care of Iraq. There will still be troops in Iraq on the bases…..to safeguard the region….but not to handle the day to day stuff.

Member: If the Dinar won't RV until the US Troops leave Iraq, which begins in Sept. …still a few weeks away from any real positive news.

Member: I still think the financial crash has to happen. RV will be the savior.

A friend of mine who lives in Germany is very close to what’s happening in Zurich! She told me two weeks ago that everything was being processed and settled, and I asked her how far along they were, how long it would take and she sent me pictures of a boat party which took place on a big lake so apparently she’s not allowed to talk about it, that was answer enough for me.

Tues. 23 July6 2024 Wolverine: The millions of people in the Precatorios Platform were made liquid on Tues. 23. Private contractors are also being paid. More have been called into Zurich. My Asian contact said that their platform starts on Wed. 24 July. I was told Mon. night, that a certain country in Asia was about to release on Tues. 23 July. China as well. A committee member in London confirmed that funds will be released Tues. afternoon in Reno and payments on Wed. 24 July.  Reno has liquid funds. They received instructions to pay on Wed. 24 July. On Thursday D-1-D-2 will be released. The platforms will receive their funds on Wed. 24 July, but they must wait for D1 and D2 to go live on Thursday. Dubai 1 and Dubai 2 provide all the money for the exchange. At this moment there is a start in Brazil, for the beneficiaries of this process.

Tues. 23 July 2024 Bruce: Tier4b (us, the Internet Group) could be notified at any time. Bond Holders have been told they will be notified on Wed. 24 July and get access to their monies on Thurs. 25 July.

Clare: Central Bank Governor discusses with UN Regional Representative the development of bilateral programmes

His Excellency the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Chairman of the Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Council, Mr. Ali Mohsen Al-Alaq, received the Regional Representative of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime for the Middle East and North Africa, Ms. "Christina Albertin" and her accompanying delegation. 

During the meeting, they discussed strengthening bilateral relations and completing the programs achieved between the two sides, especially with regard to capacity building in following up on criminal proceeds in accordance with international best practices.

The guest delegation praised the efforts made by the Iraqi Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Office in combating cross-border crimes, following up on proceeds, and strengthening the work of the internal, regional and international system.

It is noteworthy that Iraq is hosting the Second Baghdad International Conference on Combating Drugs, under the patronage of the Prime Minister, who made it clear in his speech during the conference that drugs threaten the stability of the region, and Iraq's vision towards combating them is not limited to the harm targeting its youth, but will be a factor in comprehensive instability in the region if neglected.

Clare: Baghdad Governor: The capital's development road path will include the largest commercial exchange station

Baghdad Governor Abdul Muttalib Al-Alawi chaired an expanded meeting to discuss the final path of the development road, noting that it will include the largest commercial exchange station in the capital.

The Media and Government Communication Department in Baghdad Governorate stated: "The meeting witnessed the participation of representatives from the Ministries of Construction and Housing and Public Municipalities and Planning, a number of general managers and the technical assistant to the Governor of Baghdad and heads of administrative units in the districts and sub-districts in Baghdad Governorate."

The governor said, according to the statement: "The files of conflicts and compensations for the owners of disposal rights and everything related to this important and vital path for Iraq and Iraqis were discussed, in terms of the economic, social, security and political aspects," noting that: "The path that will pass through Baghdad Governorate cuts approximately 28-30 km after changing the path line, and contains the largest commercial exchange station in Baghdad, and will give a clear economic return and provide employment for workers."

Al-Alawi pointed out: "The attendees stressed the need for cooperation and coordination between the concerned parties to establish this important strategic vital line, which will give Iraq an important strategic and economic dimension."   LINK

Mnt Goat   Again, I have to ask as to why the reinstatement has not already occurred, if no other rate on FOREX than to reflect the assets of the oil rentier economy already established and ongoing as we know it prior to 1990.  Prior to 1990, the rate of the dinar was hovering around $3.22. So why are they still artificially suppressing the rate now? Now, it’s 1/6 of a penny? The war has been over for 21 years, all of Chapter VII sanctions are lifted a year and a half ago, Iraq is producing 1/3 more oil than in 1990, their monetary reserves are the highest in history, up to 150 tons of GOLD and many more other marketable assets are now in motion...  [Post 1 of 2....stay tuned]

Mnt Goat   Oh…did I mention de-dollarization and all the banking and anti-corruption measures already put in place...I believe it is this “all or nothing” attitude that is holding back Iraq as it needs its currency back online now. This is especially true for attracting foreign investors...  my CBI contact told me...why the Project to Delete the Zeros is stalled. I will not get into details of these reasons...as I feel we must just buckle down and wait for this Biden administration to end, at least the part that is controlling the US Treasury and pretending to work with Iraq...the RV happening while the democrats are in power is slim to none! Welcome everybody to the big call tonight. It's Tuesday, July 23 and you're listening to the big call. Thanks. Everybody was out there. Tuned in, and I have a maya cupa -  an apology to make -  I screwed up trying to turn off the recording on Thursday night's call, and many of you who tried to tune into it or listen to the replay were denied, denied.

I eight, and I'm sorry about that, I really am, because it was a good call, and I wanted it to get out there. And unfortunately I misdialed something on ending the recording, and it was it was gone. Gone into the Ethernet  - so many of you probably tuned in on Friday to the little Intel update that I recorded to give you some idea at least of what the Intel was from the call Thursday night, but here we are on a Tuesday.

Didn't expect to be on a call tonight, but here we are. So we're doing it, and looking forward to you guys getting the most you can glean from this call.

Okay, little after ten - let's go into where we are intel wise -. This is going to be an interesting week for us. There's a lot happening all around us, we know that - politically, if you're paying attention at all, wow, we have had quite a week haven’t we – so far I mean -  we have for days, and it's not going to get any easier.

In fact, don't be surprised if the Early broadcast system, the EBS, the emergency alert system,  the Emergency Alert System and the EWS, emergency warning system come up and get utilized, starting tomorrow or Thursday, and there's been discussion as to, you guys have no idea there's so much going on right now globally, the arrest globally, I think they did get finished – I think two days ago, but there's  still activity in Canada, the US, and hopefully that is about over.

 It was supposed to be by now, but this is a time when things are coming together for us. To give you an example, yesterday, talking to the redemption center and bank people. The Bank screens were not showing rates, but the redemption center is showing blinking rates

Today it was the opposite – Bank screens were showing blinking rates and redemption centers were blank. Then later in the afternoon today, the redemption centers, which is what we're most concerned with, are showing solid rates, but in grayscale and in grayscale, you can't quite make out what those rates are, but my understanding is that by one morning, at 9:30am Eastern Daylight Time, we will have solid rates on the screens - at 930 in the morning,

We're also hearing that staff is being sent in as early as 10am and also at 2pm to cover the day.  And it should be that we get notified tomorrow and start exchanges tomorrow. Now that is what we're hearing. I should start Wednesday and go through Thurs – Fri – and Saturday.

Haven't heard about Sunday yet. We're hearing that we're supposed to be notified by those emails with the 800 number included, so that we canI hope everything goes welmay I ask what he charged to do all of that?

 call and set our appointment and then go in for our exchanges, if not tomorrow, then Thursday.

 I'm pretty sure we're going to start or we should start tomorrow. So that's obviously this going finally, is what we're all looking forward to receiving. Don't be surprised. And by the way, when you get the emergency broadcast system in order to submit EWS and all that that is designed to cover for us. So I’m excited that is about to occur. I think you guys have seen some political change already.

There may be more political change happening soon. So I'm just looking forward to getting started on what I guess we expect in the way of notifications of setting our appointments and so on.

As far as anything else goes, remember, the Dinar has a so called contract rate. They are supposed to offer that here in the United States  to US citizens, I can't tell you exactly what it is but it is  very high, and I look forward to that. And obviously Zim holders are going to be given priority and precedent going in your Zim holder, you do get priority as far as the med beds are concerned, because  they do want those of us who will be around to do our projects for many, many, many years to have a shot at that by living much longer than our normal lifespan.

So don't be surprised by that fact. You should be aware and look forward to going into the Med Beds to to gain that longevity so you can complete your projects into the future. Okay? That’s kind of important

I'll tell you guys, we have waited a long time for this, and the information that I got is, you know, this afternoon to say when these are going, it's very positive, and I believe we're finally at that point where it can start. So we shall see.

Now, I don't know. Really we don't have when these emails are going to come out to us, when our notification holders are supposed to be notified tomorrow and access funds tomorrow or Thursday. We're trying to go pretty much in tandem with the bondholders. I believe, changes tomorrow.

 It's possible we would get notified and not start. I believe they want us to start, and then call out set appointment and start, hopefully tomorrow. Okay, so that's what I wanted to share tonight.

So why are they still artificially suppressing the rate now? Now, it’s 1/6 of a penny? The war has been over for 21 years, all of Chapter VII sanctions are lifted a year and a half ago, Iraq is producing 1/3 more oil than in 1990, their monetary reserves are the highest in history, up to 150 tons of GOLD and many more other marketable assets are now in motion...

Staff will(allegedly)  be sent in at 10 and 2 pm to cover day on Wed. 24 July.

Tier4b (us, the Internet Group) should get notified Wed. 24 July and start that same day.

The Iraqi Dinar(allegedly)  has a Contract Rate that will be offered to US citizens – very high

Zim Holders (allegedly) have precedent going in for appointments and for Med Bed appointments

Bond Holders will (allegedly) be notified on Wed. 24 July and get access to their monies on Thurs. 25 July.

I am hearing comforting things from the bond side and this is coming from many sources….that historic paperwork –especially on the Asian bonds was sent to the Hague. I am also hearing the only reason the RV did not go over the weekend was fights over the value of some old German bonds. But things are now “unstuck” and seems to be moving much quicker now that the current administration is no longer delaying things. They are too preoccupied to keep slowing and stopping things right now.

Mon. 22 July 2024 Banker: “The banker is traveling back to Texas on Wednesday and is hopeful for a Thursday announcement with appointment scheduling to follow thru the weekend. We shall see.”

Tues. 23 July 2024 Wolverine:

“I am so excited. The Precatorios Platform was (allegedly) made liquid today. We are talking millions of people. Private contractors are also(allegedly)  being paid. I also heard that more have been called into Zurich. My Asian contact said that their platform starts on Wed. 24 July.”

“I have been crying a lot and full of happiness. What a day to wake up to. I received a call at 5 am this morning and listened to the yells and screams of joy from leaders in the Precotorious group! It is mindboggling that all this has been released at last. A committee member in London confirmed that funds will be released this afternoon in Reno and payments tomorrow Wed. 24 July.  That is, has the delivery and return of the trigger contracts (allegedly) been completed or is it still pending? Pending.

If what Zurich and London say is correct, activation payments will begin tomorrow Wed. 24 July.  Reno has liquid funds.  They received instructions to pay tomorrow morning 1. Farmers-2-Elderly -3 Platforms.

On Wednesday, to (allegedly) pay the ‘whales’.

On Thursday D-1-D-2 will be (allegedly) released.  The platforms will receive their funds tomorrow, but they must wait for D1 and D2 to go live on Thursday.  Dubai 1 and Dubai 2 provide all the money for the exchange and although the Platforms can receive your funds and send contracts, notices, etc.,

MZ: “After 20 years is Iraq making progress to join the WTO?”  Well we are hearing this is sqared away and there should be an announcement in the next day or two. This is part of what we are getting rumor-wise right now.

MZ: What we know for a fact from folks on both the US side and the Iraqi side…..,is that there are very “top secret” meetings occurring right now in Wash D.C. with Iraqi folks about the removal of US troops and security units in Iraq.  This is one of the key things we were told to watch and it is occurring right now in D.C.

MZ: And news from the WTO is it’s a “wrap” …and they are keeping it under wraps.

MZ: And if 1/10th of the bond rumors I am hearing today are accurate…..then people all over the world are starting to see spendable dollars. The question is – are the rumors accurate or not?

MZ: I am hearing this from so many different sides now that it makes me feel warm and fuzzy. But we still can’t go to the bank yet…..so please stay calm and grounded when you hear this news. I can only imagine how nuts the dinar boards are right now.

MZ: But, until we get the notice that is good to go…and we get to go to the banks….stay calm. But I can tell you this bond chatter is through the roof with rumors of dollars moving ect…..

Member: how long will we have to exchange...

Member: We were told about 10 days to make appointments and at least 30 days to exchange.

MZ: “Trial starts for Vietnam Tycoon in $146 million graft case” They are going hard after anybody with graft and corruption. Mostly millionaires and billionaires. Is this Vietnams way of collecting money from private individuals or are they cleaning things up before the reset?  I don’t know what to tell you on this…yet. That we are seeing this tells me Vietnam is preparing for something. I suspect they are preparing for an RV.

Member: Was at a salon getting a pedicure-The owner John is from Vietnam. He mentioned lots of things happening in his native country….Lots of corrupt politicians getting ousted and arrested.

MZ: That makes me feel better.

MZ: The bigger news is “China sells 68% of US Treasuries –Wha’ts next?”  This is a great one by fastepo who details all the countries unloading their treasuries.  What does that do? It brings them all home…all of that fiat money rushing back to the US.  

Member: That just could crash the system…….fingers crossed.

Member: Mark - bank story. Small-town, n.e. TN. Went to a bank in Walmart to repair torn $20. Said to teller, "They don't make money like they used to." She said, "New currency is sturdier!" She's held it!

Member: Bank story from another channel last night. A lady went to a WF bank in Texas and the bank manager gave her the time and rate. He had to turn away from the camera while talking to her.

MZ: I like that story…I am looking forward to call this a wrap.

Clare:  A high-ranking security delegation arrives in Washington to hold a round of talks to end the coalition's mission

Defense Minister Thabet Mohammed Saeed Al Abbasi arrived at the head of the Iraqi delegation on an official visit to the United States of America.

The Iraqi security delegation will hold the second round of talks to end the international coalition's mission in Iraq.

Four Iraqi sources told Reuters that Iraq wants the international coalition forces to begin withdrawing from September and to officially end the coalition's work by September 2025,and indicated "the possibility of some American forces remaining in an advisory capacity that was recently negotiated."

Meanwhile, American officials said that "the Iraqi position will be discussed with American officials in Washington this week at a security summit," adding that "there is no official agreement to end the coalition or any timetable associated with it yet."  LINK

 Clare:  International Development Bank announces the opening of a bank deposit account 

7/23/2024  Baghdad

The International Development Bank announced today, Tuesday, the opening of a deposit account (investment, term) to serve the Iraqi family.

The bank stated in a statement that "based on our belief in providing the best banking services to the bank's customers and employing the accumulated cash mass in the service of the national economy, the International Development Bank for Investment continues to open deposit accounts according to the customers' requirements in terms of the duration of the link."

He added, "These accounts provide financial returns of up to 10% annually, paid monthly from the value of the deposit, in addition to entering the monthly draw, which includes valuable cash prizes."

He stressed that "the owner of the investment deposit receives free life insurance and facilities when wishing to obtain a loan guaranteed by the deposit, as well as a credit card provided free of charge to the account holder."

The bank explained that "the funds will be invested to serve the country and will be safe and guaranteed by the Iraqi Deposit Insurance Company, which is authorized by the Central Bank of Iraq, in addition to the benefits that the owner of this account will receive, which represents a product that is in harmony with the needs of the Iraqi family seeking to invest its money in the appropriate and safe place and benefit from generous monthly returns that raise the standard of living."  LINK

My bank guy did say dropping the zeros does not change the value.  FRANK:  He's right.  Because it's going to be 1 to 1 with the American dollar.  It doesn't effect it inside.  It will effect it outside.  No it will not change it.  When it floats it will change it.  FIREFLY: Poor countries with terrible inflation, they drop [zeros] in order to lop.  We are not like that.  We drop to add value.  It's all inflation based. Frank26   [Iraq boots-on-the-ground report]    FRANK: Yes, you drop to add value inside of your country...They wanted to be at least 1 to 1 with the American dollar in order to add this value to your currency.  That's why he means that dropping the zeros won't add value to your currency...Then your currency will float on the International market and the value of your currency goes up outside your country as well.  Inside, it will go from 1320 to at least 1 American dollar in order to add value which is purchasing power...If it was a lop they would be adding zeros.  [Post 2 of 2]

“They will send me their opera so their people can celebrate. Finally a huge platform is going to be releasing funds to many people with billions of dollars involved. A lot of people will be astronomically blessed.

“Reno and Zurich are moving. Some whales are flying to Zurich, one huge Whale is now purchasing his airline ticket to fly down there.

“We are waiting to hear more news from bond holders. Waiting to get the miracle call this week.

“Nothing for 4B group – this is a letdown. I was told that some 4A groups have received payments, but not liquid money yet.  It is a start. Hopefully, those accounts will become liquid this week. 

“That is about it. The big news is that the Precatorios have started. I talked to the owner and he said “Wolvie, I am at the bank at the moment.” They have their green light and they will be released by tomorrow.

“I am waiting to receive the call so I can fly out. When that happens Carpathia and Shelby will be looking after the channel. I hope to have better news for all of you tomorrow.   

“Story about a couple I just received: This couple was just about to hand over their house as they could not afford the mortgage, and that same day they saw the figures for their mortgage and they had zero balance. Their account has actually been cleared, so maybe Nesara is working and people are getting their accounts cleared. This was the same day they were to lose their home and this miracle occurred.   

“I received a call this morning. Funds will be released tomorrow Tues. 23 July (later he changed it to Wed.) They will be liquid. I received an email saying the RV was imminent and about to commence. It’s official. Keep an eye on your emails.”

Frank26   Once they remove these 3 zeros from the exchange rate...it's going to gain in the new value.  But that's not where they wanted at the RI.  They will float it and they will re-denominate and then it will hit an RV as it floats from an RI back to the RV.  

SkyWalker  Currency value and an exchange rate are two totally different things and are determined differently. Changing the exchange rate does not make value. Value is made by the monetary policies that CBI and Iraqi government have put in place...Now, the inflationary zeros will be removed because the government has met the requirements of the CBI and made an economic environment that will support both the value of the dinar and keep the economy humming along. Value through policies must be restored first which will be represented with new notes being lower denominations... Meaning the three zero notes will be physically removed from circulation and the lower notes without the extra zeros will be issued. Then and only then the exchange rate reflects an increase in the relative price of the Iraqi dinar compared to the price of another currency.

With the troubles of the world in full swing daily, and the relentless narratives of Intel providers spewing exaggerated or expanded information of the engagement of the GCR, our minds go to a place of hope. But not the good kind.

Hope, while often a virtue, can foster procrastination when it becomes an expectation of future rewards rather than an active motivator for present action. When we hope for an ideal outcome, such as a sudden windfall or a perfect opportunity, we may convince ourselves that waiting is the best course of action.

This kind of hope can lead to a false sense of security, making us believe that our desired future will materialize on its own, without the need for our immediate effort. Consequently, we delay taking steps toward our goals, assuming that circumstances will eventually align in our favor. This passive hope, detached from action, transforms into a subtle but powerful form of procrastination, where the anticipation of future success undermines the imperative to act in the present.

Procrastination steals time and opportunity highlighting our tendency to delay tasks despite knowing their eventual necessity. While we waste our time hesitating and postponing, life is slipping away. While we may delay, time will not. At its core, this is the damage done by Intel providers with their misleading dialogs and exaggerations.

Whether it’s waiting for a perfect opportunity, a financial breakthrough, or a stroke of inspiration, this waiting game often leads to complacency. The idea of waiting for a windfall can be seductive. It offers the comfort of a future where everything falls perfectly into place without effort and often results in missed opportunities and unfulfilled potential. The belief in an imminent windfall can create this dangerous complacency. By postponing action, we often find ourselves unprepared when our supposed windfall arrives. This delay can lead to regret and the painful realization of wasted time.

As Aristotle suggested, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” By developing habits of consistent effort and incremental progress, we can overcome the damage of procrastination and build a life of achievement and fulfillment.

The point is, absorb this information as it comes but don’t be so preoccupied with it that it changes the course your life might have otherwise taken. Be mindful of the stagnation and complacency it can cause and devote your efforts and time to it when you have it in hand.

If you know how to swim, waiting on the bank for a boat to show up may not be the best way across the water. These Intel providers keep telling you the boat is on the way, don’t let yourself get left on the bank stuck in the mud.

Henig: Vietnam: New decree on cashless payments

In brief

On 15 May 2024, the Government officially issued the new Decree No. 52/2024/ND-CP to regulate cashless payments (“Decree No. 52“). Decree No. 52 takes effect from 1 July 2024 and replaces the previous Decree No. 101/2012/ND-CP on cashless payments, as amended from time to time (“Decree No. 101“).

Among other things, Decree No. 52 sets forth regulations mainly on opening and using payment accounts, cashless payment services and intermediary payment services (IPS). Decree No. 52 aims to promote non-cash payments, facilitating the digital transformation of the banking industry and developing superior payment products and services.

Key takeaways

Decree No. 52 provides a number of significant changes and novel provisions, some of which are highlighted below.

Decree No. 52 imposes stricter requirements on entities wishing to provide the services. In addition, electronic money remittance support services are no longer considered a kind of IPS.

Decree No. 52 provides more detailed guidelines on how payments in foreign currencies and international payments are made. It also sets forth the conditions for entities wishing to participate in the international payment system.

The definition of electronic money (e-money) is introduced for the first time, and e-wallets and prepaid cards are accordingly regulated as a mean to store e-money.

TV saying Iraqis are keeping 90 trillion dinar at home hoarding them from the banking system still.  We say make the dinar worth something and we will bring them in.  FRANK:  Why does the CBI want the 3-zero notes back?  Because they need to replace them with the lower notes.  Why are you getting lower notes?  Because you're getting a new exchange rate.

Jeff   There was a perception out there that the rate was going to change before the July 18th accession date to the World Trade...This was their 3rd accession World Trade meeting.  There's a 4th meeting coming in Q1 of next year of '25...Many thought Iraq would become a full member as of July 18th.  None of that happened.

Member: Bank story from Australia: Sunday morning I saw a bunch of employees leaving one of the branches of Suncorp bank (one of our big 4 banks in Australia). Very odd- banks are shut on Sundays.

MZ” I know of a lot of banks with meetings…Are they preparing for a banking crash? Are they preparing for a Re-valuation? What are they preparing for??? I don’t think it’s a banking crash because they keep opening up wealth management offices?  To me it makes more sense that they are preparing for a revaluation.

Member: Sure seems like right now- something big is happening every day

MZ: Right…with all the diversions this is a great time - They could reset the banking system …change the values….and nobody would notice except for us . Distractions are thick.
