The bank's media department said in a statement that the decision was the fruit of the effort put by the Iraqi government, the ministry of foreign affairs, The Permanent Mission of Iraq to the UN, and al-Rashid Bank.

butterfly   2022-05-11 04:53  Shafaq News/ Basra's heavy crude exported to Asia on Wednesday dropped by by 7.43%, equivalent to $7.42, settling at $92.45 a barrel.

The Saudi Arab light crude rested at $103.74 a barrel, while UAE's Murban Mixture and the Algerian Saharan blend registered $106.06 and $106.23 a barrel, respectively. A barrel of Bonny light (Nigeria) reported $106.12, while Iran's heavy blend registered $103.34.

The OPEC Reference Basket of Crudes is made up of the following: Saharan Blend (Algeria), Girassol (Angola), Djeno (Congo), Zafiro (Equatorial Guinea), Rabi Light (Gabon), Iran Heavy (Iran), Basra Light (Iraq), Kuwait Export (Kuwait), Es Sider (Libya), Bonny Light (Nigeria), Arab Light (Saudi Arabia), Murban (UAE) and Merey (Venezuela).

butterfly  2022-05-11 03:29  Shafaq News/ The U.S. dollar (USD) exchange rates against the Iraqi dinar (IQD) stabilized in the markets of Baghdad and climbed in Erbil on Wednesday.

Shafaq News Agency correspondent said that the Central al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya exchanges are trading the USD at a rate of 147950 IQD to 100.

Our correspondent said that the selling and buying rates of 100 USD in the local markets of the Iraqi capital rested at 148500 and 147500 IQD, respectively.

In the capital of the Kurdistan Region, Erbil, the selling and buying rates settled at 148000 and 147800 IQD to 100 USD.

The Parliament announced on Tuesday that it will resume its sessions to read the bill drafted to prevent normalizing relations with Israel.

On April 24, the Sadrist movement announced that the Homeland Rescue alliance submitted a bill to criminalize normalizing relations with Israel, in order to approve it in the Parliament.

butterfly   2022-05-11 08:58  Shafaq News/ Iraq's Federal Supreme Court on Wednesday adjourned the disposal of a lawsuit on funding the salaries of Kurdistan's public servants to June, a source revealed on Wednesday.

The source told Shafaq News Agency that the pronouncement of the ruling will be made after a trial on June 12, after hearing the testimonies of the head of the federal financial oversight department and Kurdistan's Prime Minister.

The notorious former deputy director of the Najaf Airport, Jawad Abdul-Kadhem Alwan, filed a lawsuit against Iraq's Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi and Finance Minister Ali Abdul-Amir Allawi to challenge the constitutionality of transferring funds from the state's treasury to the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) in order to fund the salaries of the region's public servants.
