Spot gold fell 0.3% to $1,774.32 an ounce, and US gold futures fell 0.5% to $1,774.40.

As for other precious metals, silver settled at $25.85 an ounce, and palladium gained 0.2%, rising to $2617.86. Platinum fell 0.7% to $ 1076.14.

It is noteworthy that Article 18 / VI of the Federal General Budget Law No. 23 of 2021 stipulates “the imposition of financial fees on foreign workers in Iraq with a lump sum of one million and 500 thousand dinars annually for each worker, collected by the Residence Department in the Ministry of Interior for the benefit of the agricultural banks And the industrial sector equally to increase the capital of the two banks, provided that it is allocated to support industrial and agricultural projects, farmers and peasants.”.

Shafaq News/ Russian archaeologists discovered today a 4,000-year-old city in southern Iraq.

It is assumed that the settlement existed from the middle of the second millennium to the first millennium BC, about 4,000 years ago, according to Sputnik Agency.

An ancient port was discovered in the site, where both river and sea ships stopped. Fragments of the wall of a palace temple were also found, about four meters wide and about two meters high.

On top of the walls dating back to the second millennium BC, the expedition discovered an oxidized arrowhead, traces of tandoor stoves, and clay camel statues dating from the early Iron Age.

According to a readout issued by the Region's cabinet, the meeting discussed the latest updates on the situation in Iraq and Syria and the endeavors to curb ISIS threats.

The U.S. Deputy Special Envoy to the Global Coalition expressed concern towards the threats of ISIS in Iraq and Syria, laying emphasis on supporting the Peshmerga forces and the Iraqi Army to deter those threats and achieve stability in the Region.

Godfrey said that the members of the Global Coalition will convene in the Italian capital, Rome, next week.

PM Barzani thanked the Coalition for its support to the Peshmerga forces, deeming the establishment of the Joint Security Cooperation Centers between the Peshmerga and Iraqi Army forces in the Kurdish territories outside the administration of the Region "a major step towards deterring ISIS threats there."

"The Prime Minister asserted the importance of the participation of the Kurdistan Region's Delegation in the anticipated meeting of the Global Coalition in Rome," the statement said.
