NORV   sandyf Of course Sandy. They are not ready to float. I did not say they will float it now. I said floating is how monetary policy works..But they have work to do before they can float.

NORV   Saleh himself said Iraq is only worth 16 trillion. You cannot RV the dinar with over 40 trillion in circulation. Period.    IF the dinar is ever going to go up...it will float. That is IF. But they have lots of work to do first. such as pass laws and get investors to come into Iraq

Sandyf   NORV is right in that no country could ever revalue in the way suggested, and in particular Iraq. He is also wrong in trying to make out there would be any benefit in floating the currency. No country that has ever been forced into a flotation has gained value in the short term. The guru BS continually refers to Kuwait but that is fake news, there never was any RV in Kuwait. During the occupation Iraq replaced the KWD with the IQD as the national currency.

The Central Bank of Kuwait went into exile and continued business as best it could, after the occupation the KWD was reinstated as the national currency at the same value it had before. The central Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya Stock Exchange in Baghdad registered 147,750 Iraqi dinars for 100 US dollars.

While the Central Kifah Stock Exchange recorded 147800 Iraqi dinars during its opening last Thursday morning.

The selling and buying prices witnessed stability in the exchange shops in the local markets in Baghdad, where the selling price reached 148,250 Iraqi dinars, while the purchase prices reached 147,250 dinars per 100 US dollars.

In a statement, the Euphrates News received a copy of it, the ministry said, "The instructions for implementing the federal budget law for 2021, approved by the Presidency of the Republic, have been completed."

She added that, "due to the legislation and publication of Law No. 23 of 2021, the federal state budget of the Republic of Iraq for the fiscal year 2021 in the official Iraqi newspaper, issue number 4625 on April 12, 2021," calling for "all spending units of ministries, governorates, bodies and entities not associated with the Ministry of Attendance to the Ministry of Finance." / Budget Department on Monday corresponding to 4/26/2021 for the purpose of receiving instructions for implementing the general budget for the fiscal year 2021 and instructions for implementing the planning budget for the public sector and self-financed bodies and companies.

The Finance confirmed "the completion of the federal budget instructions for the year 2021 after a final audit by the Ministries of Finance and Planning," stressing that "appeals to the budget will not delay its implementation."

butterfly  2021-04-25 05:36  Shafaq News/ The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) sales in the Foreign currency dropped to nearly $182 million today, Sunday.

Shafaq News Agency correspondent said that the CBI sales of Foreign currency amounted to $182,931,721 cut-off price of 1460 dinars, compared to $189,321,000 on Saturday.

Our correspondent explained that 17 banks and 11 brokering companies cashed $19.6 million, while $ 163,383,721 went to boost funds abroad in the form of transfers and credits, with 32 banks meeting those requests.

Shafaq News Agency correspondent said that Al-Kifah and al-Harithiya Central Exchanges are trading the 100 US dollar at 147750 Iraqi Dinars, compared to 147800 dinars yesterday.

Our correspondent added that today's selling and buying prices in the local markets dropped to 148,250 and 147,250 dinars per 100 dollars.

In the capital of the Kurdistan Region, Erbil, the US buying and selling prices also dropped to 147,800 and 147,500, respectively.

butterfly 2021-04-25 12:57   Shafaq News / Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq Movement in Nineveh filed lawsuits today against the deputy commissioner of Mosul, after he accused people of corruption and claiming they belong to the movement.

According to the complaint filed by the movement's lawyer, the deputy commissioner of Mosul, Zuhair Al-Araji, "issued an official book that includes the names of several people who do not belong to the Asa'ib movement, and falsely annexed them to it, as part of a campaign of distortion and abuse launched from time to time on social media platforms."

The complaint indicated, "the people whom Al-Araji claimed they are affiliated with us, belong to another political party. We do not rule out the possibility that Al-Araji knows their political reference and covers up to them by falsely annexing them to our movement in order to defame us and delude the public opinion."

"We mourn the loss of life in the fire at Ibn al-Khatib hospital in Baghdad," said U.S. National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, in a statement posted on the White House official website.

We are in touch with Iraqi officials and have offered assistance. Our strategic partnership with Iraq is first and foremost a partnership between our two peoples. We are prepared to support the Government of Iraq and its people at this tragic moment", he added.

The Iraqi Prime Minister had suspended three senior officials, including the Minister of Health and Environment Hasan al-Tamimi, in the aftermath of the Ibn Khatib incident in which at least 88 and 110 were injured.

Al-Kadhimi appointed the Minister of Interior, Othman al-Ghanmi, to lead the investigation, with the Ministers of Planning and Justice on board, along with the Chief of the Commission of Integrity, head of the Federal Diwan of Financial oversight, and a representative of the Parliament as a spectator member.

Additionally, the Supreme Judicial Council in Iraq announced arresting the director of Ibn Khatib Hospital and a number of hospital employees.
