Tishwash: Southern protesters vow to a major march to cordon off the Green Zone and demand the judiciary to choose a prime minister
On Sunday, demonstrators of Dhi Qar Governorate stepped up their position with the federal government after the "massacre" committed by the security forces against them on the international highway west of the city of Nasiriyah, the center of the governorate, vowing to "a major march" launched from the southern governorates on foot to the capital Baghdad to cordon off the area Green.
The prominent and broader public speaker among the Dhi Qar demonstrators, Alaa al-Rikabi, said in a video seen by "Tomorrow Press" that "Dhi Qar police chief, Brigadier Nasser Al-Asadi, betrayed the military republican decree and killed the demonstrators in cold blood."
"We asked him (Al-Asadi) a deadline to withdraw from the Fahd Bridge on the international highway in a peaceful manner, but he refused and decided to use force in the process of removing the demonstrators," he said.
Al-Rikabi added, "The commander of the Rafidain Operations, Major General Jabbar Naima, has lost control of his party officers, and these are now the deep state in the country."
He declared that "the next step of escalation will be to walk to the capital, Baghdad, with a large march that starts from the southernmost part of the country, Basra Governorate, in order to surround the green zone in a proper way."
Al-Rikabi called "the security forces and the commander of the general army in the country to protect those heading to Baghdad on foot, in addition to the Federal Court and the Supreme Judicial Council replacing the president and implementing the true demands of the demonstrators."
Dhi Qar Governorate witnessed the fall of 31 demonstrators, between a martyr and a wounded, in violent clashes between the security forces and the demonstrators on the international highway west of the city of Nasiriyah link

Footforward Article quote: "Free and peaceful protesters will always chant the symbolic national anthem "Mawtini" as a sign of freedom, independence and patriotism, away from the Iranian influence and partisan interests." The thing to note now, no one shooting at the Iraqi people. That means Iran's influence is weakening. This is good for us! I know this seems minor. But it's actually very telling.
Breitling ...Iraq has suggested that the U.S. remove their presence in Iraq. The President has said if this happens Iraq's accounts will be frozen in the U.S...Could this in any way interfere with the revaluation of the the dinar? Look, Iraq is not going to kick the United States out of the region...This correlates a little bit with Trump talking about that we have billions of Iraq's money. That's in U.S. dollars. When he did that interview [1-11-2020] he's talking about dollars...what's energy traded in? It's traded in U.S. dollars. That's how we're able to have access to their accounts. They're in our banks and our reserves...
