Tishwash:  Urgent America moves an aircraft carrier and warships to the Gulf because of Iraq

An official at the US Defense Department revealed that an aircraft carrier has been moved to the Gulf region due to Iraq.

CNN quoted a Pentagon official as saying that "the movement of the aircraft carrier (USS Nimitz) to the Gulf region with other warships."
"Moving the aircraft carrier will provide combat support with the withdrawal of US forces from Iraq and Afghanistan," he added.

The official pointed out that "the movement of the aircraft carrier to the Gulf was planned before the assassination of the Iranian nuclear scientist."  link

Tishwash:   US forces consisting of 25 vehicles enter Iraq

Today, Saturday, American forces arrived on Iraqi soil, consisting of 25 vehicles coming from Syrian territory through the Al-Waleed crossing.

The Syrian News Agency reported, "A column of 25 vehicles including trucks, tanks and refrigerators for the American forces left the base of Kharab al-Jir airport through the Al-Walid crossing in the form of batches to Iraqi territory."

And it indicated, "In recent weeks, the American forces have evacuated dozens of convoys from their bases in Hasakah countryside, towards their bases in Iraqi lands."

This comes as America prepares to withdraw more than a third of its forces in Iraq within weeks, while the outgoing US President Donald Trump announced last month his intention to withdraw all forces from Iraq as soon as possible.

The presence of American forces has become a big issue in Iraq, after the assassination of the Deputy Chairman of the Popular Mobilization Authority, Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, and the commander of the Quds Force in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Qassem Soleimani, in a US drone strike in Baghdad last January.

Days later, the Iraqi parliament approved a draft resolution directed at the government to end the operations carried out by foreign forces on the land of Iraq, but the decision has not yet been implemented   link

Cutebwoy:  Al-Kazemi dismisses the Dhi Qar police chief and imposes a curfew in Nasiriyah

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, removed the chief of Dhi Qar police, Brigadier General Hazem Muhammad Al-Waeli, from his post, due to the events of Al-Haboubi Square in the city of Nasiriya.

A security source said, “Al-Kazemi agreed to appoint a new commander for Dhi Qar police.”

And stated, “The new leader is Major General Odeh Al-Jabri, from the people of Basra Governorate.”

The source pointed out, “The police issue an order to ban curfews in the city of Nasiriyah.”

A medical source reported that the toll of the Nasiriyah clashes had risen to 3 martyrs and more than 50 injured, in addition to burning tents for the demonstrators in Al-Haboubi Square.

The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces,

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, the Prime Minister, Mr. Mustafa Al-Kazemi, issues a decision to dismiss the police chief in Dhi Qar governorate and form a committee to investigate today’s events that took place in the governorate, announce a curfew there, and cancel permits to carry weapons, to prevent further repercussions That harm civil peace in Iraq.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces emphasized that the tension in the situation in Iraq is not in the interest of the country and that there is no substitute for law, order and justice, including justice towards the bloodshed in today’s events.

The Iraqi government has abided by its pledges and set a date for the elections so that the ballot box is the only decisive factor for determining the positions, and that the alternative to this box is chaos that is not accepted by religion, principle, or national outlook.

The Commander-in-Chief calls upon all citizens to abide by the government’s instructions to preserve the pure Iraqi blood and to block the way for those who want this country and its evil people. May God protect Iraq and its people.

Tishwash:  A statement from Al-Rafidain about opening accounts for citizens to deposit their money

Al-Rafidain Bank directed, on Saturday, all its branches in Baghdad and the governorates to continue to receive customers wishing to open accounts of all kinds.

"Many citizens have a great desire to open accounts for the purpose of depositing their money in the bank and obtaining interest," the bank’s media office said in a statement that Mawazine News received.

The office called on the bank’s employees to “provide the necessary facilities for those who intend to deposit their money in the banking system and benefit from the services provided by the bank through these deposits.”   link
