Tishwash:  With the opening of the market..oil prices go down

Oil prices fell with the opening of the oil market today, Monday, after the second consecutive weekly decline after consumers in the world announced plans to release crude oil from strategic stocks and with the continuation of Chinese closures.

At 04:39 GMT, Brent crude fell $2.32 to $100.64 a barrel, while US crude lost $2.42 to $95.84. Last week, Brent fell 1.5 percent, while West Texas Intermediate, the US, fell 1 percent.

The market has been watching developments in China, where authorities have kept Shanghai, a city of 26 million people, under "zero tolerance" for COVID-19 and considers China the world's largest oil importer.

International Energy Agency (IEA) member states will release 60 million barrels over the next six months, with the US matching that amount as part of its release of 180 million barrels announced in March.

The IEA's issuance will reach nearly two million barrels of daily supply for the next two months - plus another million barrels from the US for four months after that, and it's unclear whether that will make up for the shortfall in Russian crude after that country came under heavy sanctions. following its invasion of Ukraine.

However, the OPEC + group of oil-exporting countries has not shown any tendency to increase its production targets by more than the 400,000 barrels per day that it was adding per month as part of restoring supply cuts  link

Tishwash:  Behind-the-scenes meetings to activate Al-Hakim's initiative with the participation of the Sadrists

Today, Sunday, the Wisdom Movement revealed that the political blocs held dialogues and meetings "behind the scenes" with the participation of the Sadrists to resolve the political blockage according to the initiative launched by the leader of the movement, Ammar al-Hakim.

The leader in the movement, Rahim Al-Aboudi, told Shafak News Agency, "There are preliminary understandings on the Ammar Al-Hakim initiative," noting that "there are dialogues under the initiative."

He added that "the coordinating framework formed the quinquennial committee with the aim of proceeding entitled Al-Hakim's initiative to start political dialogues to get out of the political blockage."

Al-Aboudi revealed, "Dialogues and meetings are currently taking place behind the scenes to preserve each political entity and its status," adding, "When the understandings come out to find a real mechanism, we will see an important meeting of the political forces in the presence of the Sadrist bloc."

Al-Aboudi stressed, "No dialogue will be held at a high level to get out of the political blockage, unless there is a presence of the Sadrist bloc."

After several political initiatives to end the division failed, and the distance between the leader of the Sadrist movement Muqtada al-Sadr, who led the last elections, and the forces of the coordination framework, a new initiative emerged, put forward by the head of the Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, on the eighth of April, to get out of the crisis that disrupted the constitutional entitlements. .

In his initiative to resolve intractable crises that prevent a parliamentary session from holding to vote on the President of the Republic and then form a new government, Al-Hakim called on the political forces to sit at the dialogue table, discuss solutions and remedies without preconditions or restrictions, and nominate the major parliamentary bloc that has the right to nominate a prime minister. The forthcoming presidencies, as stipulated in the constitution, resolved the issue of the three presidencies through understandings.

Al-Hakim’s initiative also included the demand for “the distribution of roles, so whoever wishes to participate in the government joins the majority team and commits to supporting the government in the agreed program and announces full responsibility for his participation and decision, and whoever does not wish to participate takes the House of Representatives as a starting point for his constructive opposition,” as he put it. .

He called on what he described as "majority forces" to "pledge to provide a safe cover for the opposition," noting that the opposition should not "disrupt parliament sessions and actively attend in it and allow the majority to complete the constitutional dues  . link
