Tishwash:  Kurdistan Regional Government announces the suspension of work tomorrow, Saturday

The Kurdistan Regional Government announced on Friday that the official working hours will be suspended tomorrow, Saturday.

The government stated in a statement that Saturday, the ninth of April, and on the occasion of the anniversary of the liberation of Iraq, will be an official holiday in all institutions and departments of the Kurdistan Regional Government.

The region suspends official working hours on this date every year on the occasion of the fall of Saddam Hussein's regime and the liberation of Iraq from the rule of the dissolved Baath Party regime.  link

Tishwash:  A double attack targeting the Ain Al-Assad base

On Friday, a security source reported that there had been a double attack targeting Ain Al-Assad base in Anbar.

In an interview with Alsumaria News, the source said, "Ain al-Assad base was attacked a short while ago by two missiles and two drones."

The source added that "the CERAM system expelled the missiles and marches to the vicinity of the base."   link

Tishwash:  A government delegation participates in the activities of the annual meetings of Arab financial institutions in Saudi Arabia

Today, Thursday, a government delegation participated in the activities of the annual meetings of Arab financial institutions held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The media office of the Ministry of Finance stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the ministry participated in the activities of the annual meetings of Arab financial bodies with the participation of representatives of the Arab ministries of finance and economy, which was held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia."

The statement indicated that "the meeting was attended by the Adviser to the Prime Minister and a delegation from the Ministry of Finance headed by Undersecretary Taif Sami, Director General of the Administrative and Financial Department, Director General of the Public Debt Department, Director General of the Iraqi Fund for Foreign Development, and a representative of the Ministry of Agriculture with the participation of the Central Bank of Iraq." 

He explained, "The meeting reviewed the results of the financial institutions' work for the past year, evaluated the achievements, and discussed future prospects for enhancing the role of financial institutions in strengthening the bonds of cooperation among Arab countries."

It is noteworthy that the Arab financial institutions and the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development hold their meetings annually, during which the performance of each body and the topics on its agenda are reviewed.

 These bodies contribute to providing the necessary financing for development projects, support balances of payments, structural adjustment, investment guarantee services and export credit in the region, in addition to contributing to the financing of Arab development projects, which enhances their role in developing the wheel of the Arab economy.  link
