Tishwash:  The Rule Of Law: The Caretaker Government Is Unable To Approve The Financial Budget

The State of Law coalition confirmed, on Friday, the inability of the current government to approve the budget as it is a caretaker, indicating that the political agreement will end the economic and political crises in the country.

Member of State of Law Sabah Al-Bazzo said in a televised interview that "the political scene is ambiguous and the challenges are many, and that the political agreement will help Iraq get out of crises."

He added, "The caretaker government is unable to approve the financial budget, and submitting any law to the budget is a clear and explicit violation that cannot be tolerated."

He pointed out that "the tripartite alliance is unable to achieve a quorum to vote on the president of the republic, and that going to the session to choose the president of the republic without political consensus will lead to a big problem." link

Tishwash:  Al-Kazemi’s advisor: The previous budgets went to salaries, and amending the white paper is a necessity

Adviser to the Prime Minister for Financial Affairs, Mazhar Muhammad Salih, noted on Thursday that the previous public budgets consisted of paying salaries instead of services, while stressing the need for an amendment to the "white paper" by the specialists.

This came during a financial and accounting training center set up by the Ministry of Finance entitled (Assessment of fiscal vitality in public budgets), according to a statement issued by the ministry, received by Shafak News Agency.

Saleh said, according to the statement, that "most of the previous budgets were compensatory budgets, that is, distributing salaries instead of free public services, and converting them to special services such as electricity and water, and this is a failure in preparing public budgets."

He added that "the ministry's financial policy came with positive financial results, and modified the Iraqi economy," noting that "this change should not continue for a long time because it will affect the general members of society."

The economic advisor praised “the economic reforms presented by the white paper that significantly improved the country’s situation and the conduct of financial matters,” stressing the need to “adopt these reforms and amend this paper by the specialists.”  link

Tishwash:  Experts expect a reform and investment budget and an improvement in the financial situation

Today, Friday, economists expected to put forward a reform and investment budget, stressing the existence of an improvement in the financial situation.

Adviser to the Prime Minister for Financial Affairs, Mazhar Muhammad Salih, said in a statement to Al-Iraqiya News Channel, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the budget follows the white paper approach with improvements, and it is reformist in budget reform and economic reform, but it needs a will for implementation as well," noting that "the circumstance Finance is now relatively better, but the budget is hedging a deficit, but this deficit is not financed by borrowing, but rather from financial flows from the sale of oil.”

From his side, the Director General of the Financial and Accounting Training Center at the Ministry of Finance, Ahmed Al-Dahlaki, confirmed that "the budget in Iraq depends by 93 percent on oil and other resources, which constitutes 7 percent comes from taxes, customs, public companies and other existing public revenues, and its percentage is small." 

In turn, the professor at the Administrative Technical College, Dr. Salah El-Din Muhammad, called for "investment of other sources to support the state's public revenues," noting that "the industrial and agricultural sectors were among the vital and excellent sectors in terms of tax and customs revenues, which constitute an important part of the revenue aspects that can be invested." to diversify the sources for the national economy  link

Tishwash:  A missile attack targeting the vicinity of (Balad) air base in central

An attack with a number of missiles this evening targeted the vicinity of Balad Air Base, located in Salah al-Din GovernorateCentral Iraq, which includes foreign contractors working for an American company, without any injuries.

And the Alsumaria News website quoted a security source as saying that "the number of missiles that fell in the vicinity of the base reached five, according to preliminary information," noting that the place of their launch is within the vicinity of Diyala Governorate.

For his part, the commander of Balad Air Base, Major General Diaa Mohsen Saad, said that no damage occurred as a result of the missile strikes, adding that it affected the US Army's wing.

Saad explained that the bombing affected foreign contractors working for the American company, Lockheed Martin. link
