Also, new intel suggests that UIA Flight 752's transponder was remotely switched off to trick the nearby Iranian military base's Anti-Air defenses.
All commercial airliners can be remotely hacked/hijacked which is what happened to Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370, according to past intel.
However, the order to shoot down UIA Flight 752 originated from IRGC military brass.
Whether or not the IRGC knew it was a commercial airliner is unknown, but the intent of retaliation for Soleimani's death was clear.
The shooting down of UIA Flight 752 has caused massive backlash from multiple countries including the people of Iran.

5 Rockets land in Iraq base housing US forces
Five Katyusha rockets targeted an Iraqi airbase north of Baghdad hosting US-led coalition forces, the Iraqi military said on Tuesday, in the latest attack on installations where American troops are deployed.
The statement from Iraq’s military said that the rockets had hit Camp Taji but reported that there were no casualties.
Sky News reported a member of the security forces was wounded in an explosion near the camp's gates, but the the Iraqi Military has since issued a statement saying there were no casualties after Taji was targeted by Katyusha rockets. link
