From Iraq News Kuwait confirms receiving $1.47 billion in war compensation from Iraq

After 40 days of polling, the announcement of the final results of the Iraqi parliamentary elections The Sadrist bloc topped the final election results by obtaining 73 seats, (My understanding is that Iraq had to finish paying Kuwait before they could revalue - to be article 8 compliant.

And now that The Sadrist has been announced as the winner, Kazemi should be announced soon.)

Frank26  [Firefly boots-on-the-ground Iraqi TV update]   FIREFLY:  They go into talking to us about the 2022 budget. They say to be addressed and passed in early 2022.  He's saying that the budget will be the center on projects of all our reforms and then the CBI in early 2022 we'll review the exchange rate too.  Saying both will walk hand in handFRANKMustafa the Governor of the Central Bank, the only guy that can touch the exchange rate just told you that both the exchange rate and the budget are going to walk hand in hand?  Yes sir! ...Your country is going to be one of the powerhouses of the world... [Post 1 of 2....stay tuned]

Frank26   [Firefly boots-on-the-ground Iraqi TV update Continued]  FRANK:  It's stupid to think that they are going to do it in the first part of next year.  They're going to implement it in the first part of next year.  Because how are they going to open the budget on January 1st without the new exchange rate being exposed That's why they are very soon to show you the new small category notes and then shortly after that or in conjunction with that they will show you the new exchange rate.  That's why they're educating you right now about what they're going to do with the new exchange rate and this new currency.  The new exchange rate belongs to the CBI and the GOI... Samson:  Al-Kazemi’s advisor: Repetition of the scenario of global economic closure is out of the question

29th November, 2021

Today, Monday, Mawazine News , the financial advisor to the Prime Minister, Mazhar Saleh, presented his expectations regarding the conditions of the oil market and the economy of Iraq with the emergence of the new Corona mutator and fears of returning to general closure in most countries of the world and stopping travel movement, while he suggested not to return to a comprehensive economic closure as happened in In 2020, he indicated that oil prices will go towards stability.

Saleh said, "The white paper is a medium-term reform approach and at the same time an expression of the state's policy in facing the problems of our rentier economy, which despite the state of optimism in oil prices, is still subject to the risks of fluctuations in the energy market in the world and the surprises that may occur."

He added, "Despite that, I do not think that the world will witness a complete economic shutdown and coexist with serious recessions similar to what happened in 2020, as the global economy will provide better movement and activity mechanics than last year, and during 2022 we expect to conduct economic activity at the level of countries in the world."

He pointed out that "there may be very legitimate global warning concerns to prevent the corona pandemic and hedge its effects, but perhaps these precautions may hide some strategies of oil-consuming countries to reduce the excess demand for energy resources, including crude oil, as an aid to confront the escalation of prices, which is a tactical matter that may succeed in slowing the pace of the increase in oil prices in order to stabilize them within the equilibrium of the energy market without the expected price increases.  LINK
