Samson: Erbil opens its doors to American investors

The governor of Erbil, Firsat Sofi, invited American companies to invest in the Kurdistan Region on Monday.
Sophie said during his meeting with US Consul Rob Waller in Erbil, that the construction process of the new US consulate is going smoothly, and coordination is being made to complete the project on time.
Regarding the twinning proposal between the US state of Nashville and the city of Arbil, Sophie said, "We are happy with this proposal and currently we are preparing to develop and strengthen friendly relations and sign this agreement."
Regarding the advent of American companies, the governor of Erbil declared, "We welcome warmly, and our doors are open to American investors and companies to participate in the reconstruction of Erbil and the Kurdistan region, and are ready to provide all facilities and support to them." LINK

Pimpy ...the last 24 hours have been very interesting...we're still hearing news about the Iraqi dinar exchange rate...We know they're talking about the exchange rate. Hell they even came out so far as to say they needed to decrease the exchange rate...decreasing the rate helps those individuals who hold on to dinar...they're saying decrease the number of dinars you get for every U.S dollar [Which is good for us]...until they do anything with their rate change we have no idea of what's really going to happen...even if they decrease the rate we don't know about how much...that's why I want people to say grounded. All of this is good news. We like it...
Jeff Article: "Parliament Finance expects the 2020 budget to arrive in Parliament in two days" They're telling you they have not shown or revealed the numbers publicly...IMO they have to hide the figures of the budgets because it's pretty much calculated in the billions not trillions because it's calculated off the rate change. Budgets don't contain rates. Budgets are calculated off the rate change. When the rate changes the budget transitions from trillions of dinar down to billions of dinar. That's the deletion of the zeros off the rate...they're hiding the budget figures because it's going to be calculated in billions not trillion and it's to hide the freaking rate change... everything is lining up right before your eyes.

Tishwash: Al-Jubouri: The salaries of the retired will be launched within two days
The head of the Parliament's Finance Committee, Haitham al-Jubouri, announced that retirement salaries will be launched for the month of September.
"The salaries of the retired will be launched within the next two days," Al-Jubouri said in televised statements followed by Al-Iktissad News.
He added that the Ministry of Finance revealed a deficit in the salaries of employees estimated at 20% of the value of the total sums available to the ministry.
He pointed out that the ministry promised to solve this problem by approving the draft budget law for the year 2020 or through internal borrowing from government banks or the Central Bank of Iraq link

Following successful experiences such as an important step on the road to sustainable development, when there is a sincere will to achieve this lofty goal, which puts Iraq among the adults economically, protects the interests of the country, provides a decent life for the people and guarantees the rights of future generations that will work to complete the path of success.
Iraq cannot be without successful experiences despite the difficult circumstances it is experiencing, and we find successes born out of suffering and under the great challenges and difficulties that the employer may not face in any of the countries of the world, but the strong will achieved ambition or part of it and the wheel is moving despite Difficulties.
In our country it can be said that the cement industry has achieved success under many complex obstacles, but when the will was available, the goals that were set and the national production covered the need of the local market for this important material despite the increased demand, but when the will of the private and public sectors met, self-sufficiency of cement was achieved through local, public and private factories.
This experience, together with the experience of the soft drinks industry of Baghdad company and private companies that fed the local markets with their needs, can stand there and try to benefit from it in other industries, as it is a proof of the ability of local companies to provide the market need of different materials.
From these two experiences, we see that when the public sector supports the private sector and is helping it and protects the local product, success is the successor to any development trend that the country is heading towards.
This important step will achieve great economic feasibility for the country and maintain the paths of the dollar that go towards the world markets for the purpose of importing various goods, 80 percent of which can be manufactured inside Iraq when these amounts are aimed at enhancing production capacity in the industrial and agricultural sectors, and when the national will to succeed is available, the elements of development are available and need to invest that to return Iraq to its true place among the world's economies. link
Nationwide Reports of Brief 911 System Outages, Cause Not Immediately Clear

Law enforcement agencies across the country reported brief outages of their 911 systems Monday night, and it was not immediately clear if there was a connection with a major Microsoft system outage.
Law enforcement agencies around the country, from Nevada to Pennsylvania and Arizona to Minnesota, tweeted that their 911 systems were down beginning sometime after 7 p.m. ET. Multiple reports indicated outages throughout Delaware and Ohio as well.
By 8:15 p.m., many of those departments reported that their services had come back online. Others were still recommending that people call local department numbers instead of the emergency line.
The NYPD said it was aware of the outages, and the possible link to the Microsoft situation, but said its own 911 systems were up and running.
On a status page for its cloud services, the software giant acknowledged a widespread systems issue and said "Any user may experience access problems for Microsoft 365 services." (The city government of Microsoft's own hometown of Redmond, Washington said municipal phones were down due to the company's outage.)
