Tishwash: Parliament .. Hosting the bank’s governor to find out the fate of 180 billion dinars per month, currency auction profits
The Parliamentary Integrity Committee revealed, on Tuesday, that the Central Bank obtained monthly profits of 180 billion dinars from the auction of selling the currency, indicating that it will host the governor of the bank tomorrow, Wednesday, to know the fate of that money and suspicions of corruption in it .
A member of the Integrity Committee, Khaled Al-Jashami, said, "Iraq receives monthly amounts of more than 3 billion dollars from the sale of oil, which are imports ."
He added that "these sums are sold monthly at a currency auction, the 100 dollar denomination of paper to the banks, for 119 thousand dinars," noting that "the price of the 100 dollar bill achieves 6 thousand dinars ."
"The total profits from selling the dollar at the auction sell the currency reach 180 billion dinars every month, and it is supposed to return to the state treasury to benefit from it by securing the salaries of employees and others, " Al- Jushami said .
He added that the committee decided to host tomorrow the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq and to know the fate of that money and suspicions of corruption that hover around the currency auction. link

Samson: The United Nations signs an agreement to support the elections in Iraq

The United Nations in Iraq welcomed, on Tuesday, France’s contribution of one million euros to a UN-led project to support and assist the Independent High Electoral Commission in Iraq.
A United Nations statement in Iraq, of which Mawazine News received a copy, stated that it "will assist in the deployment of the United Nations electoral advisers at a time when the Independent High Commission is preparing for the upcoming elections." The statement indicated that the French ambassador stressed that "the upcoming elections are an opportunity for the Iraqis to make their voice heard, and this contribution shows France's strong and continuous support for Iraq."
The statement added that "the United Nations Development Program signed an agreement with the French government on behalf of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) to manage the financing and management of the project, which was described by the United Nations Special Representative for Iraq, Jeanine Hennes-Plasschaert as" reflecting the importance of a coordinated international response to Iraq's electoral needs".
The resident Representative of the United Nations Development program in Iraq, Accessories Ali Ahmed: "the Iraqis deserve the process of fair and transparent elections to hear their needs met and ensure the ultimate". LINK

Samson: Trump administration to impose sanctions on 'Iranians who suppressed protesters'

Informed sources confirmed to "Reuters", that the United States may impose sanctions next week on "Iranians involved in violence against participants in anti-government demonstrations a year ago."
The sources said: "The announcement of the sanctions will come on schedule with the first anniversary of what may be the bloodiest crackdown on demonstrators in Iran since the 1979 Islamic Revolution."
She pointed out that the sanctions have been under preparation for months, and they are the latest in a long series of US sanctions imposed by US President Donald Trump on Iran.
One of the sources indicated that next week's restrictions will be a strict measure, including dozens of Iranian individuals and entities. Another source said, "Washington will blacklist the people involved in killing civilians," while a third said, "Those targeted are government and security officials." LINK
