April: Allawi presents to parliament members his government program and the biographies of his ministers

A source close to Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi revealed on Friday that the latter had invited members of Parliament to inform them of his government’s program and the curriculum vitae of the candidates for the portfolios
The source said in a special statement to Shafaq News, that "Allawi invited all members of the House of Representatives to attend at exactly six o'clock in the evening to the government palace to inform them of the biographies of the ministers of his cabinet and the government program
Allawi had announced, on Wednesday, that he had completed the selection of his government, which he said consists of independent ministers who are competent away from the influence of the parties, calling on Parliament to hold a session next Monday to give it confidence
The caretaker head, Adel Abdel-Mahdi, wrote a letter to Parliament, Thursday, inviting him to hold an emergency session on Monday to give confidence to the government of his successor

A recent report by the Oxford Economics research institute revealed two catastrophic scenarios for the global economy due to the spread of Corona virus in the event of a pandemic.
And Oxford Economics expected that China's GDP growth will decrease to 5.4%, from 6% recorded by the second strongest economy in the world last year due to the virus.
The Foundation has developed two scenarios around the "Corona" outbreak and turning it into an epidemic. Under the first scenario, which includes a wider spread of the virus in Asia, Oxford Economics predicted global GDP would drop by $ 400 billion this year.
