President Of The Republic: The New Government Must Be Capable And Able To Meet The Aspirations Of The People

Today, Wednesday, the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, stressed the need for the new government to be able to meet the challenges, while stressing to address the crises in the region.

Saleh said in a speech during the official ceremony of the second anniversary of the martyrdom of the martyred leaders of victory, Haj Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, and the guest of Iraq, Haj Qassem Soleimani and their companions, that "the martyr leader Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, deputy head of the Popular Mobilization Authority, and the great Iranian leader, Haj Qassem Soleimani, are two influential and great personalities in our country." And he added, "We left the two martyrs while they believed that martyrdom is the ultimate goal, and that self-sufficiency is the ultimate goal of generosity in order to support the oppressed and stand in the face of the oppressor."

And he continued, "We are awaiting today an important occasion for the new parliament to convene to start forming the new government, which must be able to carry out its tasks and address the challenges facing our country and the region. Radical and structural reform must be achieved and meet the aspirations of the people and citizens in all parts of Iraq, through the consolidation of good governance and the consolidation of The state’s reference is to be a capable state that is respected with full sovereignty and harnesses the country’s resources to serve the people.”

The Cabinet Approves The Administrative Reform Strategy In Government Departments

The Minister of Communications, Arkan Al-Shaibani, confirmed that Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi directed to provide services to citizens for the last day of the government's life, while noting that the Council of Ministers approved the strategy of administrative reform in government departments.

Al-Shaibani said in a press conference held after the cabinet session, that "Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi directed to provide services to citizens for the last day of the government's life," noting that "the Council decided to take over the Ministry of Oil preparing and financial support for the project to implement the transmission lines of the Rumaila Investment Station and Dhi Qar Station." And the Al-Faw station, the East Basra gas station, the Al-Haritha thermal station, and the Al-Qurnah station, from the Ministry of Finance.

He added, "The Cabinet decided to approve the recommendation of the Ministerial Council for Human Development 14 of 2020-2021 regarding the approval of the strategy for administrative reform in government departments prepared by the committee concerned with preparing a strategic plan for administrative reforms in all government departments and simplifying procedures in those departments that affect people's lives."

He stressed, "This decision will serve as a roadmap to facilitate procedures," noting that "it was approved to exclude the Ministry of Finance from contracting methods for the purpose of establishing an Iraqi-Turkish research water center, and it will be the nucleus of a future regional research center."

He added, "It was decided to adopt the financing structure for the Dhi Qar Refinery Investment Project, according to what was stated in the Ministry of Oil's book, and to authorize the companies of the Ministry of Oil to complete the contracting procedures and grant the necessary licenses and approvals to start implementing the aforementioned project," noting that "the recommendation of the Ministerial Council for Energy 125 for the year was approved. 2020-2021, where the Board agreed that the Basra Oil Company would acquire the entire share of Axon Mobil Corporation, after approving the withdrawal from the West Qurna field.

And he indicated that "it was approved:

First - to authorize the Minister of Finance or whoever authorizes him with the authority to lease the lands owned by the Ministry of Finance and allocated to public oil companies used for the purposes of developing oil and gas and to provide logistical support for that, and an exception to the public auction procedures in accordance with Article 40 of the State Lease of Funds Law 21 for the year 2013.

Iraq Stock Exchange   Market  Economy News – Baghdad  The stock market closed, at the end of its weekly trading, up by 0.12%, as the index closed prices at the point 567.16.

The stock exchange traded 808.1 million shares, with a value of 896.4 million dinars, through the conclusion of 533 deals.

The shares purchased by non-Iraqi investors amounted to 2 million shares at a value of 20 million dinars, while the shares sold by non-Iraqi investors amounted to 3 million shares at a value of 8 million dinars.

The most profitable companies in today's trading are Al-Iraqiya for Engineering Works 9.97% and Metal and Bicycles 9.8%, while the companies with the most losses are Al-Atta Islamic Bank - 10.53%.

Customs: Our Revenues In 2021 Increased By 15% Compared To 2020

The authority stated in a statement received by / Mawazine News, that the revenues of "this year 2021 amounted to (1001413859817) trillion and one billion four hundred and thirteen One million eight hundred and fifty-nine thousand eight hundred and seventeen dinars, while the revenue of 2020 was (863161392512) eight hundred and sixty-three billion one hundred and sixty-one million three hundred and ninety-two thousand five hundred and twelve dinars.

And she continued, "The directives of Director General Shaker Mahmoud Al-Zubaidi after assuming the position had a significant impact on the increase in revenues in most of its customs centers, as it recorded a qualitative leap for the year 2021, with an increase of 15% over the year 2020, despite the short period during which the Director General assumed the presidency of the authority."

And she added, "After the approval of its general manager, all the differences in customs duties on companies were reviewed, the large part of which was met, as well as confirmation and continuous follow-up on the safety of conducting a thorough examination of the consignments received in the country, which led to the achievement of high revenues."

The authority confirmed, "It is continuing to redouble efforts to raise revenues to double the amounts achieved through the plan prepared to supplement the state treasury with financial resources." Ended
