Clare: Al-Zamili: We will vote to authorize the Al-Kazemi government to send the budget law to the parliament

Shafaq News/ Hakim Al-Zamili, First Deputy Speaker of Parliament announced on Tuesday that the parliament will vote to authorize the caretaker government headed by Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi to send the draft budget law for the year 2022.
This came during his presidency today, a meeting held by the Parliamentary Finance Committee, in the presence of its Chairman, Hassan Al-Kaabi and all of its members, to discuss the provisions of the “Emergency Support for Food Security and Development” law, according to a statement issued by the Council.
The statement quoted Al-Zamili as saying: This law will not be a substitute for the budget, and it came to a certain stage with the aim of addressing the most prominent emergency cases and issues of the country.
He pointed out that the Council will vote on authorizing the caretaker government to send the draft budget law for the current year, as well as important laws that touch the need of citizens to the House of Representatives, calling on the Finance Committee to provide the Presidency of the Council with the final version of the bill after the necessary amendments have matured, to be included in the Agenda for the nearest session for voting as well.
The Chairman and members of the Finance Committee reviewed the most prominent provisions of the draft law and the meetings during which the executive bodies related to the law were hosted to study the necessary notes and the possibility of including them, while they confirmed that the law had reached its final necessary stages, in preparation for its approval during the next few period. Pimpy Still got the issue of trying to establish a government. Right now we're still in that time period that Sadr gave the Coordination Framework. There's a lot of outside interest coming in and trying to influence and rush this process which is exactly what Sadr did not want to happen...I will be extremely curious as to Sadr's move when he's done with his 40 days of silence...the bad news...a president has not been selected. The good news is that Saleh is still president and Al-Kazemi Prime Minister. And both seem to be kicking butt.

Yada: Reading Tish’s article they are going to vote to authorize the caretaker government to send the budget in order to address issues for the people. Releasing the rate would be part of the task. AND not at the end of Ramadan. Expecting it any moment now.
CharlieOK: But yada, the CBI changes the currency rate, and it is very debatable if voting in a new budget is required before the rate is changed.
RVAlready: I am pretty sure the rate in the 2022 budget was approved by the CBI, since neither the GOI or the parliament can make that decision.
CharlieOK: The 2022 budget was worked out some time ago. Since that date, Iraq has been inundated with new and maybe unexpected oil money. Surely, not even Iraq, can see that as a negative. If Iraq is the lynchpin for the gcr; this wave of new money has to help bolster the value of the Iraqi dinar. Why isn't this a good thing? Who buys that after all this time, even the Iraqis have to see that they have to revalue their currency….Who buys that after all this time, even the Iraqis can't stop the obvious conclusion that the Iraqi dinar has to be revalued way the heck up?
NetGlobal: We all know the Dinar is undervalued and we know an RV is coming. What we don’t know is when the RV is going to happen. It may happen in April or maybe August. We just don’t know…Who knows besides the CBI, the President, the US Treasury, and the PM?
Yada: The CBI does pull the trigger but as tony has stated in the past, the CBI put the rate INTO the new budget like a raw egg yoke waiting for the budget to be passed..Putting it there meant that there would have been a new government. Well we see there was intent on a new government until SCOI changed to vote requirement to 2/3rd. That gave Maliki's Third party to block it all. Now we are past parliament's legitimacy, now the caretaker government, i e "emergency government, can now pass the budget.
