Iraq imposes full curfew for eight days starting May 22 over COVID-19 Fears

On Saturday, the Iraqi authorities announced a total curfew that will imposed for eight days, starting Friday May 22 till Sunday May 30, including the Islamic Eid Al-Fitr holiday.
They added that the curfew comes as part of the state's plan to curb the spread of coronavirus.

Member of Kurdistan Democratic Party, Sherwan Al-Dobardani, suggested that the parliament will convene on Sunday, immediately after the blessed Eid Al-Fitr, confirming the parliament’s readiness to resume its sessions.
Al-Dobardani said in a statement to "Al-Maalouma", "I, as a deputy, signed a request to resume the sessions of the House of Representatives, because the conditions in which the country is going through need important laws to cross the crisis." He added, "The current information indicates that the sessions will take place immediately after Eid Al-Fitr."
The deputy of the Alliance of Fateh Mukhtar al-Musawi revealed in a previous statement to / the information /, the existence of "personal ends" behind the disruption of the meetings of the House of Representatives, indicating that it is not constitutionally justified not to hold the sessions of the Council.

Delta ...It's a very high possibility that we might really see something from the Central Bank of Iraq this week...all the media is reporting right now in Iraq, they have so many newspapers, so many live TV, so many people just talking about the subject - printing money, exchange rate. This is the first time...they're talking about an exchange rate...before we used to dream about them talking about this...we don't know the rate. We don't know the date. But this is coming from Iraq all over the news. They're talking about exchange rate. They're talking about printing money...everybody is happy internationally. Everybody is supporting the new Prime Minister...the World Bank...the first time they are basically supporting the financial reforms, the economic reforms - anything that has to do with money...they're backing up this new Prime Minister 100%. This is just unbelievable news...any nanosecond we could see the rate changing...
