Total spending in the 2022 general budget with the same ceiling established in the General Budget Law 2021 of 129 trillion dinars, with a possible increase of 5% in total spending with an adjustment to the price of a barrel of oil to be $60 per barrel instead of the previously announced $50.

Last August, the Ministry of Finance announced its initiation of preparing the next year's budget.

The value of the deficit in the 2021 budget, as approved by Parliament, amounted to 19.8 billion dollars, compared to 23.1 billion dollars in 2019, knowing that Iraq did not approve the 2020 budget due to political tension.

The total value of revenues in the 2021 budget amounted to about 69.9 billion dollars, calculated based on the export of crude oil on the basis of a price of 45 dollars per barrel, and an export rate of three million and 250 thousand barrels per day.

The Director of the Department of Labor and Vocational Training in the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, Raed Jabbar Bahed, stressed the necessity of activating the role of inspectors in implementing the effective labor law, pointing to efforts to develop the capabilities of labor inspectors by including them in development courses organized by the International Labor Organization.

Baghdad And Washington Are Again Discussing The Evacuation Of Iraq From Foreign Combat Forces

Today, Thursday, National Security Adviser Qassem Al-Araji discussed with the international coalition forces plans that would reach the stage where there are no international coalition forces operating in Iraq with a combat role.

A statement by the Joint Operations Command said that Al-Araji hosted a meeting between the Iraqi Military Technical Committee headed by the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, and its counterpart in the coalition forces, headed by the Commander of the Operations Solidarity Forces in Iraq, Major General John Brennan, and in the presence of his deputy, Brigadier General Richard Bell (United Kingdom). and Director of the Interagency and Civil Environment Department, Brigadier General Vincent Coste (France).

The statement added that, during the meeting, they continued to discuss plans that would reach the stage where there are no international coalition forces operating in Iraq with a combat role.

The parties indicated, according to the statement, the evacuation of more than 2,100 shipments of military equipment from Iraq, within the framework of the continuous transition of the security relationship with the coalition forces to an advisory and non-combat role.

The parties reaffirmed their commitment to the ongoing partnership between the Iraqi security forces and the coalition, and clearly defined how the coalition will continue to support the Iraqi security forces through its role in advice, assistance and empowerment, and agreed to re-evaluate progress in their relationship on a quarterly basis.

The parties indicated the successful transfer of ownership of the equipment to the Iraqi side during the past months, which included more than 1,800 armed armored wheels, cranes, water tanks and other wheels, which contributed to increasing the mobility of the Iraqi security forces and enabling them to protect Iraqi citizens from ISIS.

The Iraqi government reiterated its commitment to protect the members of the international coalition who provide advice, assistance and empowerment to the Iraqi security forces, and the members of the coalition are present at the invitation of Iraq in accordance with Iraqi sovereignty and international laws and norms.

The official spokesman for the Ministry of Planning, Abdul-Zahra Al-Hindawi, said in a press statement: “Preparations are continuing to conduct a population census by the Ministry of Planning and the Central Statistics Authority, and a number of experiments have been conducted in a number of governorates, including Basra, Anbar, Karbala and Erbil, and now we have an experiment that is currently taking place in Dohuk Governorate in the Kurdistan Region.

Al-Baldawi: Political Forces Are Preparing For Further Demonstrations Against The Election Results
