Al-Kazemi: Iraq Will Propose The Establishment Of A Joint Development Bank At The Jeddah Summit

Political     Today, 00:35  Baghdad – INA Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi confirmed that Iraq will propose the establishment of a joint development bank among the countries gathered at the Jeddah summit to be devoted to joint projects.  Al-Kazemi said in an interview with Al-Iraqiya News, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that

"Iraq has become an important position in international politics and an influential figure among the Arab countries," noting that "Iraq will present at the Jeddah Summit the establishment of a joint development bank among the gathered countries to be allocated to projects common".

He added, "The joint bank will create great job opportunities for Iraqi youth," noting that

"Iraq is an important country in the region and will not be on the side of a particular axis."  He continued,

Oil Minister: Iraq Is Keen To Restore Its Legitimate Rights To Its National Wealth In Accordance With International Laws

Friday, July 15, 2022 9:05 PM  National News Center/ Baghdad  The final session of the arbitration panel of the International Chamber of Commerce was held today, Friday, for the dispute between the Republic of Iraq and the Republic of Turkey over the pipeline agreement between Iraq and Turkey in Paris.

In a statement received by the National News Center, Oil Minister Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar Ismail confirmed that

“Iraq is keen to restore its legitimate rights in its national wealth in accordance with international laws and treaties,” stressing

“Iraq’s respect for the just and equitable decisions issued by the courts and the concerned authorities that consider cases related to violations and disputes, including those related to oil wealth.  He added that

he "firmly believes that the correct approach is to work on resolving these issues by resorting to peaceful legal methods."  The statement continued,

"The International Chamber of Commerce is considering the arbitration case filed by the Republic of Iraq against the Republic of Turkey for violating the provisions of the Iraqi-Turkish pipeline agreement signed in 1973, which stipulates that the Turkish government must comply with the instructions of the Iraqi side regarding the movement of crude oil coming from Iraq in All storage and disposal centers and the final station.  And he indicated that

"the Ministry of Oil was represented by the Minister personally, a number of ministry officials, the Iraqi embassy in Paris, and the legal and technical work team, due to the importance of the lawsuit, as it is the largest in the history of Iraq."  Ismail said that

"the arbitral tribunal closed the presentation of the case by the parties, after hearing their regulations and their pleas, and that there is no further opportunity for extension or postponement, expecting that the arbitral tribunal of the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris will issue its final and decisive decision within the next few months."

He expressed his gratitude to the arbitral tribunal of the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris for its professional handling of the dispute, which gave the parties the opportunity and time to defend their positions.

He explained that Iraq has good relations with Turkey and that this arbitration does not constitute an obstacle to the development and expansion of bilateral relations to achieve common interests, while Iraq retains its constitutional powers and sovereignty over all its wealth.

Al-Kazemi continued, "The other talks about the summit's goals are an attempt to confuse, and are absolutely untrue, and it is an attempt to distance Iraq from the prominent role it plays in the region, and for this government to carry out its tasks in serving the people, and attracting investments and support for the benefit of Iraq." And he indicated,

"Iraq's position on the Palestinian issue is consistent and clear, and we are not part of any axis or alliance in the region, and

Iraq maintains its balanced policy with its neighbors and surroundings, based on its national and humanitarian principles." He pointed out that

"this government came in a difficult economic circumstance and we crossed it, and the economic indicators from the World Bank confirm that Iraq succeeded in a very short time in crossing this crisis, and we presented a vision for economic reform represented by the white paper." Al-Kazemi stated,

“There was a clear isolation of Iraq in its foreign relations, and it has suffered from it for a long time, and because of wrong policies, Iraq isolated itself from the world;

This was reflected in many of its infrastructure, education and society, and was reflected in wars and sanctions, the price of which was paid by the Iraqi citizen. And he added,

"After 2003, the policy of isolation continued for several reasons, and thank God, Iraq succeeded in ending the isolation, and for Iraq to take its natural role in its relations with the countries of the region and the world." Al-Kazemi continued,

“Today we live in a different world, not only at the level of technological developments, but also at the level of the nature of administration and politics of governments.

It is the relations and common interests that present projects to address unemployment, desertification, and the environment, and such projects need cooperation with others;

Therefore, the trend was to open up to the world; For Iraq to quickly turn from a member isolated from the world to an active element in relations, and from this point of view we held conferences in Baghdad, and mediations between more than one country in Iraq, most of which succeeded.” The Prime Minister explained,

"Iraq today is one of the countries most affected by climate change, and we need the help of others; That is why we have decided to cooperate with our brothers and friends in overcoming these challenges.” And he added,

"We are going to the conference in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and we focus on the file of

water and climate changes, and

partnership in the issue of energy and electrical connectivity, as well as

economic partnerships, and

joint investments, and

all of this is good for the Iraqi people, and great support for investment projects in Iraq." Al-Kazemi stressed,

"It is this role that gives Iraq an opportunity for investment, cultural exchange, education, and health.

The world has changed many of its concepts after Corona, and the security and defense strategy has become health, education, and industry.

It is unreasonable for our strategies to remain based on illusions and mistrust." And stay away from cultural commons.” He added,

Rafidain Bank Determines The Interest Rate Of The Fixed Deposit

The media office of the bank stated in a statement received by the “National News Center”, that “the interest of the fixed deposit for a period of one year is 5% for citizens who deposit their money in the bank.”

Rafidain Bank Determines The Interest Of Opening Savings Accounts For Citizens
