She explained that "the coordinating framework forces will soon announce the name of the candidate for the position of prime minister after the parliament's vote on the Kurdish parties' candidate for the presidency of the Iraqi republic."

Meanwhile, Bahaa Al-Nouri, a spokesman for the State of Law coalition, revealed the participation of all representatives of the Shiite component, including independent representatives, in the session to choose the next prime minister, suggesting that the issue will be resolved within the next 48 hours.

Al-Nouri said: “The leaders of the coordination framework did not present themselves as candidates for prime minister, despite the media statements.” He added, “We expect the Kurdish forces’ agreement to resolve the candidate of the President of the Republic before the parliament session, after there are signs of a breakthrough in the crisis between the Kurdish parties.”

Parliamentary Security: Significant Progress In Reinstating “Compulsory Conscription”

A member of the committee, MP Jawad al-Bolani, said that "the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee has made an important stride in the path of approving the conscription law through a series of discussions that took place on it."

Al-Bolani added, "One of the important laws that we stress is related to recruitment and serving the flag," pointing out that "there is almost unanimity among the political blocs to pass and organize it."

He pointed out that "the project needs to choose an appropriate time for its presentation and to show its texts in a manner that meets all the issues that necessitated its legislation."

Al-Bolani indicated that "the reform strategy that has been presented over the past years, especially at the level of security and law enforcement agencies, needs to be reviewed, reviewed, evaluated and put in line with existing developments and challenges facing the country at the current stage."

Al-Bolani concluded, “The Security and Defense Committee will present an integrated paper on security reform. In addition, a member of the committee, MP Ali Al-Saadi, stated that "the first draft of the law was discussed with the members of the committee, and we believe that this law has become an urgent necessity to nourish young people with the national faith."

Al-Saadi added, "A number of privileges will be provided by the law. The state employee is considered a service with its bonuses and promotions, while maintaining the job grade after the termination of service."

He pointed out that "non-employees will have privileges in addition to the monthly salaries set by law, and they will have priority in appointment to Iraqi state institutions."

The Joint Operations Command had confirmed earlier, according to a statement issued by it, that "the mandatory conscription law is very important to maintain the momentum of the security forces and to pour new young blood into the Ministry of Interior, Defense, and other security agencies and ministries."

On The Eve Of The Leaders' Meeting, There Is No Agreement On The Presidency

Shafaq News/ The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) bloc confirmed on Sunday that it had not reached a joint agreement with the Kurdistan Democratic Party, to go to Baghdad with one candidate for the post of President of the Republic.

This comes on the eve of a meeting of the leaders of the political blocs, scheduled to be held on Monday morning, at the parliament building, at the invitation of the Presidency of the Parliament for the purpose of discussing ways to complete the constitutional benefits represented by electing a president of the republic, choosing a new prime minister and proceeding with the formation of the government.

The Rapporteur of the National Union Parliamentary Bloc, Representative Karwan Yaroes, told Shafaq News Agency, "There are dialogues between the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and the Kurdistan Democratic Party, regarding agreement on a candidate for the position of President of the Republic, and so far there is no final result of these dialogues."

Yarois added, "The National Union owns Barham Salih as a candidate for the presidency, and the Democratic Party owns Reber Ahmed as a candidate for the position, and so far there is no consensus between the two parties on a joint candidate for the position."

The coordination framework, which includes all Shiite forces except for the Sadrist movement, called last Friday for the Iraqi parliament to convene this week and elect a president in preparation for the formation of the next federal government.
