Today, Wednesday, the Pentagon asked the American Congress and government officials to avoid traveling to Iraq and Syria due to the current circumstances in Iraq and what happened in front of the American embassy in Baghdad.

And a memorandum bearing the signature of US Defense Secretary Mark Asper stated that government officials and members of the US Congress are not allowed to travel to Iraq and Syria until January 15th.

The memo excludes the US president, his deputy, the secretary of defense, some ministers, and the chief of staff from banning travel to Iraq and Syria.

Pentagon officials attributed the issuance of this memo to the situations in the region.   LINK

MilitiaMan:  Trump tells the US Congress to stay home from Syria or Iraq until the 15th of January 2020.. Interestingly enough that Samir Al-Nassery (Nusiri) suggests a new stage is coming within weeks.

We just watched Soleimani and Mahndi get taken out. The Currency Auctions in and are (not for long imo) a very large source of income and corruption that funds illicit behaviors.

I mention these things, as they seem to be geared for purpose and reasoning. One reason and a large one is the Citizens demands are not over and done with, yet.

Hence the two top targets were taken out. The rules have been changed and are still under scrutiny by the citizens and the USA, imo..

The citizens want their money, the USA wants them to have it too, and then some, as there is plenty to go around.. imo

Keep in mind of course there is security issues for Americans in the regions mentioned. However, lets think about when Sen. John Kerry purportedly went to Iran and effectively breached the Logan Act.

I'll bet this warning now from Trump is a stern one!! The implications now are about the money.. Who has been benefiting off those auctions all these years?

I suspect since we are talking about large sums of money being laundered from and through the auctions, makes me think that that $40 billion in USD (noted below )may or could be $40 trillion +- worth of Dinar.

Notice they said the money went abroad? In currency trading there are pairs. Have to have two currencies. The money is said to go to banks abroad. In today's world tracking money is a science and very well done by those in the know. The money may run in and out, but it can't hide.. lol

They moved it electronically, yet they physically reduced the note count on the streets. A massive reduction! Light bulbs going off yet?

If there is any dirty politicians and or bad apples that the money is linked to  and or is connected to the illicit laundering of money from the Currency Auctions they may have just got a shot across the bow, as did Solemani and Mahandi did litterally though.

Trump wants no one from Congress going near Syria or Iraq through the 15th. While the CBI has moved about $40 billion worth in money, as the charts show.

The CBI reduced the note count down to $5 trillion IQD from about $50+- trillion IQD.. With the liquidity issue they will experience in the short term, suggests that a move is coming in value to relate to that massive movement. They have the electronic trail on that money that doesn't lie. The ledgers have the data. imo

So with all this pieced into a big picture, it sure looks like the purpose and reasoning is for good to conquer the evil.. IT sure seems to fit any way.

Iran places 7 conditions on the new prime minister in Iraq

The Independent newspaper revealed that the future Iraqi Prime Minister, regardless of his name or the party that nominates him, will have to fulfill the seven conditions set by Iran, based on its economic, political and security needs.
The newspaper stated in a report that "usually, a lot of information about the Iranian conditions for appointing the Iraqi Prime Minister is not leaked to the media, because negotiations on this position have always taken place in complete secrecy between the Shiite parties close to Tehran, but that the Iranian capital is often It was the appropriate place to resolve any disagreement over the most likely candidate to form a government.

It seems that the Iraqi demonstrations, which have been going on for more than three months, have changed many rules, including the formal circumstances accompanying the selection of the prime minister in Baghdad, but, according to observers, they will not be able to compromise the essence of the conditions governing this process.

Currency auction

In the forefront of the Iranian conditions for any Iraqi figure charged with forming a government, maintaining the laws governing what is known as the "auction of currency sales" in the Central Bank of Iraq.

Under the pretext of maintaining the stability of the Iraqi dinar exchange rate against foreign currencies, the Central Bank of Iraq sells large amounts of money daily from the US dollar currency, to traders who say they use them to import the goods that the country needs from abroad.

After the tightening of the American screws on the Iranian economy, specifically during the past year, the currency auction in the Central Bank of Iraq has turned into the most important Iranian window for obtaining the dollar, while informed sources say that approximately $ 40 billion was transferred from Iraq to accounts abroad during 2019.

Iraq does not have a tight banking system, so money laundering operations are common, as well as the facilities smugglers get at Iraqi border crossings with neighboring countries, providing an ideal environment for smuggling foreign currencies.

Electricity contracts

The second Iranian condition that the new Iraqi Prime Minister must abide by is the maintenance of electricity purchase contracts between Baghdad and Tehran.

The Iraqi government does not provide clear data on these contracts, but informed sources say that it is centered around a thousand megawatts of energy sold by Tehran to Baghdad, in exchange for an amount that is very high compared to the prevailing prices in the region, noting that Baghdad does not get anything from these thousand megawatts during The summer months, when the demand for electricity inside Iran increases and the possibility of export disappears, yet Tehran gets its full dues from Baghdad, as if it had exported all of the agreed upon quantity.

In light of the scarcity of Iranian external resources, the revenues resulting from the contract to supply Iraq with electricity are an important financial source for Tehran.

Baghdad and Najaf airports

The Iraqi airspace is a vital navigational passage for Iran, as it is the link between its lands and its spheres of influence in Syria and Lebanon, so the Iraqi airports should always be open to Iranian aviation.

Tehran did not get rid of the headache of Iraqi airports only when the leader of the Badr Organization, Hadi al-Amiri, assumed the position of Minister of Transport in the government between 2010 and 2014, as he made a series of arrangements, which are still in effect so far, to ensure that Iranian aircraft pass through Iraqi airspace and airports smoothly.

Informed sources say that Iran has been transporting to Syria, through the airports of Najaf and Baghdad, for years, all that it needs to maintain its influence there, without hindrance. Therefore, maintaining this situation is the third Iranian condition for any new Iraqi Prime Minister.

International road

The fourth condition does not go far from the conditions of the third condition, but rather it relates to land rather than the air, as Iran wants the future Iraqi Prime Minister to keep the situation in the international roads linking Baghdad to Damascus and Amman as it is.

Samson: Jaafar: Abdul-Mahdi will remain in the Prime Minister for the next three months

On Saturday, Secretary-General of the Turkmen Islamic Union, Jassem Muhammad Jaafar, suggested that resigned Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi would remain for a period of three months to come, indicating that negotiations to form a new government were postponed due to the current conditions.

Jaafar said in a statement to "Information" that "Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi with his cabinet will remain for three months to come without touching on the appointment of a future prime minister."
He added, "The current political situation and the recent American aggression have mixed all the cards and ended the issue of forming a new government in Iraq."

Jafar said that "the political blocs are currently busy arranging their affairs after the blatant American attack, and they will not think about forming a government."   LINK
