Fuze:  The replacement still appears to be the question imo,  and the transition mechanism.. Imo,  Mahdi is done.

Rommy:  Gee, look at all the demonstrators still risking their lives.  Why don't we ask them who they would like to see as the replacement?

Doodelbug:  WOW! Munther,, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CBI, not an outside guy, meaning... he is 100% dedicated to Iraq. I think I can safely say he knows Dr. Shabibi very well. IMOO.

I always had a problem with a PROXY pushing the RI button... and here's why. If Alaq were to give the citizens purchasing power, the citizens wouldn't want him to leave. I feel Alaq got his reward for following the instructions of the Fab4... he got a cushy new job and his name "PRINTED" on the currency (not a signature).

His name will forever be in the hands of the citizens. The New CBI Governor will push the RI button and the citizens will forever be loyal to him for that reason. Is Mahdi cleaning up the loose ends prior to his leaving? Was this waiting for the CBI Proxy position to be filled?!? tic toc, tic toc... get'er done Mahdi and then get out!

Now, couple this with all the excitement that Frank and WS brought us on Thursday (and will be bringing us tonight) and boy oh boy, I'm excited now!

Jay:  Wow. I so agree. Its like the replacement of the LAST proxy was put off until a specific time for a reason. They had a year (and longer) to do it and they sand bagged  the task. So ask yourselves.  WHY DO IT NOW ?   Re Mahdi tieing up the loose ends before leaving??? Imo, yes. There was a stall in the air of today's articles concerning the departure time of Mahdi. "He will resign in the coming days"??? <---- as one article said.    All IMO

Rommy:  IMO spot on DB!  Plus IMO the citizens do not trust or like Alaq.

Doodlebug:  Agree Rommy, the citizens never trusted Alaq, so many broken promises and IMO, a little bit of corruption in the family lol. I could never understand how a Proxy could change the rate, but then would counter that with "the BOD actually runs the CBI", so I never looked deeper into it. Rearview Mirrors are great, aren't they?!? Blessings to you and yours, Rommy.

Jay:  Bye Bye Proxy Alaak. ON LIKE DONKEY KONG...indeed

RockCharlie:  I just wanted to expand my thoughts on market share.

1. We are number one in oil exports
2. We have picked up the buyers of oil from countries like Iran and Venezuela.
3. The United States controls the price of oil worldwide.

Which translates into a larger market share of the oil market.

It makes OPEC relatively irrelevant.

I do not believe President Donald Trump would intentionally decimate Iraqi economy although if he wants them to add value to their currency he could remind them of who controls oil prices.
By reminding them of how quickly he restored global prices after the attack on SA.

In other words we control the economy of the entire middle East. Can you say pressure.

The CBI. Holds the keys to unlocking the Iraqi market share into international markets.Note something the rest of the middle East is already part of (international markets). And by doing so relieves the pressure within the country.

The death of 2 birds one stone so to speak. IMO of course.
