Clare:  A senior American general to Al-Kazemi: Reducing our military presence will not weaken America's commitment to the broader strategic relationship with Iraq

 09/09/2021

{Umniah: Al Furat News} The Prime Minister and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, received today, Thursday, a US military delegation headed by the Commander of the US Central Command, Lieutenant General Kenneth McKenzie, accompanied by the US Ambassador to Iraq Matthew Tueller.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of concerted international efforts against the threat of terrorism and extremist takfiri ideology, which threaten the region and the world at large, adding that Iraq will remain proud of the victory it achieved against the most powerful terrorist organizations in the modern era.

Al-Kazemi indicated that the support, support and training that Iraq obtained from all its brothers and friends were all an essential element in achieving that victory, and in raising the level of the capabilities of the security forces in a way that enabled the government to move in its relationship with the international coalition, to the stage of ending combat missions.

For his part, First Lieutenant General McKenzie praised the continuous development of the capabilities and skills of the Iraqi security forces, and their ability to play combat roles against terrorism efficiently and courageously, with the task of the international coalition moving to advice, training and intelligence cooperation, and pointed out that the ceremony that took place today, witnessed the handover of the leadership of the coalition to Major General John Brennan, succeeding Lieutenant General Paul Calvert, represented one step towards achieving this transition.

McKenzie stressed that reducing the level of the US military presence will not weaken the US commitment to the broader strategic relationship with Iraq, in the political, economic, cultural and other fields, as well as the security relationship, according to the outcomes of the strategic dialogue between the two countries.

During the meeting, it was agreed to hold a new meeting of the Iraqi Military Technical Committee and its American counterpart; In order to implement the remaining steps of the outcomes of the strategic dialogue, especially with regard to ending the presence of the American combat forces at the end of this year, after the reduction of the level of military representation of the coalition leadership was achieved; In line with the new non-combat phase of its role in Iraq.  LINK

Frank26  Article "Proposal to digitally reintroduce small denominations"  These NSCN's coming to a bank near you soon.  Didn't [Guru] Walkingstick and I tell you they're going to explain to them [Iraqi citizens], tell them, why they changed the exchange rate, why they stopped the auctions, why they're coming out with new small category notes and show them pictures...This has been going on since June, July, August, September...

Bruce   [via WiserNow]   This target is still moving... what we do know is...Iraq has an international rate – the currencies were off the screens Sunday and they came back...(Monday) – all the currencies came up that we’re interested in...we understand...the people that have seen them have commented to us that they would be really really good and we would be pleasantly surprised... I think we are very close... I do believe their intention is to let this go...I thought well before the 11th...we are looking good I believe...

BANKS, CHINA & GOLD COINS...Q&A with LYNETTE ZANG & ERIC GRIFFIN

Premiered 16 hours ago.

Question 1: Do you think an overnight re-evaluation of precious metals can occur while major banks still hold massive short positions in these metals? Would government likely wait until these banks have exited their shorts to avoid collapsing a too-big-to-fail institution?

Question 2: What is the "wealth transfer" and how will it affect me?

Question 3: Why do people think gold is worth so much - you can't eat it?

Question 4: How can the looming default of Evergrande Bank in China impact the global real estate market?

Question 5: If gold and silver are going to be the means of trade, what does it really matter if I have bars, rounds, or coins?  And why would I want to pay extra premium for American minted coins versus rounds or foreign coins?
