The Minister Of Finance Reveals The Objectives Of The White Paper

Today, Tuesday, Finance Minister Ali Abdel Amir Allawi confirmed that the white paper aims to correct institutional performance and provide the best projects.

The ministry said in a statement that "Finance Minister Ali Abdul-Amir Allawi held a meeting with the institutional performance evaluation coordination team in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, which included Deputy Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers Jassem Muhammad Humaid and Riyadh Fadel Muhammad, head of the institutional performance evaluation coordination team, and Taif Sami, Undersecretary of the Ministry and Director of General of the Economic Department of the Ministry of Finance.

The statement added that "the Minister of Finance discussed during the meeting the ministry's strategic plan and its future vision aimed at developing and improving the services provided by its departments to all state institutions and to the various segments of society."

The Minister of Finance indicated, according to the statement, that "the principle of work and tasks of the ministry and its departments have witnessed a remarkable development through the adoption of the best international standards of high quality, and it is continuing with progressive steps towards raising the level of tasks entrusted to it."

The statement continued, "The presentation of the financial and economic reform plan represented in the white paper, which aims in its entirety to correct the institutional performance aimed at providing the best projects and improving the level of services that are in the interest of the Iraqi people."

The Dollar Continues To Decline And The Central Bank Is Selling At Record Levels

Time: 06/22/2021 10:58:18 Reading: 4,615 times   {Economic: Al Furat News} The dollar exchange rate continued to decline in Iraq, for the third day in a row.

The Baghdad Stock Exchange recorded 1478.5 dinars, or 147 thousand and 850 dinars.  In Erbil, the price of the dollar also decreased, as the selling price reached 1480 dinars, and the purchase price was 1475 dinars.

In Dhi Qar Governorate, the dollar amounted to 1485 dinars for sale and 1480 dinars for purchase.

And the Central Bank of Iraq's dollar sales continued to rise and record record levels since it changed the exchange rate on December 19 last.

The total sales of the foreign currency auction of the bank today amounted to 246 million and 566 thousand and 603 thousand dollars.

179,526,603 The total sale for the purposes of strengthening balances abroad (transfers, credits), including 179 million and 526 thousand and 603 thousand dollars, and the total cash sale was 67 million and 40 thousand dollars.

It is noteworthy that the Central Bank of Iraq decided on January 19 last to make a significant change in the dollar exchange rate, as follows:

1450 dinars per dollar, the purchase price of foreign currency from the Ministry of Finance.

1460 dinars per dollar, the price of selling foreign currency to banks.

For The Third Day, The Central Bank's Hard Currency Sales Approach A Quarter Of A Billion Dollars

Economie| 01:27 - 06/22/2021   Baghdad - Mawazine News   The Central Bank of Iraq's sales of hard currency continued to rise, on Tuesday, recording more than 240 million dollars.

And the Central Bank auction for the sale and purchase of foreign currencies, today, witnessed an increase in its sales to reach 246 million and 566 thousand dollars, covered at a base exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar.

The purchases amounting to 179 million and 526 thousand and 603 dollars went to enhance balances abroad in the form of remittances and credits, while the remaining amount of 67 million and 40 thousand dollars went in cash.

Al-Attar Calls For The Digitization Of Life To Develop The Iraqi Economy

Economie| 01:51 - 06/22/2021   Baghdad - Mawazine News, a member of the Iraqi Economic Council, Ghadeer Al-Attar, called on the government, on Tuesday, to benefit from the digital experiences of the Dubai government.

Al-Attar said in a statement that Mawazine News received a copy of it that "the government of Dubai has issued a law for the Dubai Digital Authority and all smart circuits are attached to it, in order to digitize life in Dubai, not just digitize Dubai services."

He added that "digitalization has changed the way the world lives in most of its economic and social aspects, so that it has become rare to find someone who has nothing to do with it from near or far."
