It Is Expected That Iraq Will Receive $32 Billion From Turkey For Violating The Pipeline Agreement

Energy   Economy News-Baghdad  The specialist in economic and commercial disputes between countries, lawyer Jaafar Al-Saadi, suggested on Sunday that the Turkish government would compensate Iraq between 25 billion to 32 billion dollars for violating the provisions of the Iraqi-Turkish pipeline agreement signed in 1973 .

Al-Saadi said in a statement reported by the official “Al-Sabah” newspaper, “The agreement stipulates that the Turkish government must comply with the instructions of the Iraqi side regarding the movement of crude oil coming from Iraq in all storage and disposal centers and the final station, indicating that there are lost amounts resulting from these Turkish violations. ” .

Iraq Is The Fourth Exporter Of Oil To The United States Last Week

And the US Energy Information Administration announced, today, Sunday, that Iraq's oil exports to the United States during the past week amounted to more than 300,000 barrels per day, to be the fourth largest source of oil to the United States.

It added that the average US imports of crude oil during the past week from eight countries amounted to 5.957 million barrels per day, an increase of 55 thousand barrels per day compared to the previous week, which amounted to 5.902 million barrels per day.

She indicated that Iraqi oil exports to America amounted to an average of 302 thousand barrels per day last week, down from the previous week, in which oil exports to America reached an average of 362,000 barrels per day, but it is still the fourth largest oil exporter to America during the past week./End 3

Planning Intends To Launch The Anti-Poverty Strategy On This Date

The Director General of Strategy in the Ministry, Sabah Jundi Mansour, told the official newspaper, "It is not possible to determine the random increase or decrease in the poverty rate without relying on accurate and realistic surveys," noting that "work is underway to prepare the poverty strategy to find out the exact percentages that would facilitate the work of The concerned authorities in the country to take the necessary measures.

Mansour added, "In conjunction with the preparation of the strategy, we began preparing the economic and social survey of the family, which measures the real poverty rates at the level of the governorates and their affiliated districts," noting that "in the next three months, preliminary indicators will appear in this regard."

And Mansour indicated that "the surveys conducted by the Central Statistical Organization to determine the poverty rate are based on taking a random sample from all districts and sub-districts in the governorates to fill out a pre-prepared form that includes many questions about the living situation, income, nutrition, and others, to come up with accurate results and reach the real poverty rate in the country." .

And he continued, "When determining the percentage of poverty, the conditions of the Iraqi market are taken into account, from the rise and fall in the prices of materials in general, and compared to the income of the individual," noting that "according to the latest poverty strategy in 2018, the poverty rate reached 20 percent."
