The United States Submits A Proposal On The Peshmerga

Political | 04:30 - 06/28/2022   Baghdad - Mawazine News   , the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, the Commander in Chief of the Peshmerga forces, received on Tuesday, General John Brennan, the commander of the international coalition forces in Iraq and Syria.

In a meeting with PUK President Bafel Talabani, the Minister of Peshmerga and a number of leaders and ranks of the Peshmerga, they discussed the reform process in the Ministry of Peshmerga and the latest steps to reunite its forces.

Barzani praised the support and assistance of the United States and its allies during the fight against ISIS, and stressed the Kurdistan Regional Government's presidency and government's support for the reform process in the Ministry of Peshmerga and the reunification of its forces.

For his part, General Brennan affirmed that the United States will continue to support and assist the Peshmerga under the umbrella of the Ministry and under one command, and become a strong, professional, national force capable of performing its tasks.

A Document Detailing The Session Of His Summons Against The Prime Minister In The Federal Court

Political | 04:04 - 06/28/2022   Baghdad - Mawazine News  On Tuesday, Representative Mustafa Jabbar Sanad revealed the details of his summons session against the Prime Minister in the Federal Court.

Sanad said in a post on Twitter followed by / Mawazine News /, that "in the Federal Court today and in our lawsuit against the Prime Minister, the Chief Justice of the Court asked me to prove the validity of my claim that the Prime Minister misused Resolution 168 of 2014."

Sanad added, "My answer was that the Prime Minister granted plots of land in luxurious areas on the Karkh side, more than once to the same person and with evidence, in a decision called Perseverance, which is for the heroic fighters, martyrs and wounded."

Sanad continued, "But it was given to his photographer, who wipes his mask, who wears make-up on his face, and given to his entourage and his entourage, even for young ages who had not reached the age of majority during the war against ISIS, but he did not give the real heroes who actually participated in the fight."

Sanad added, "Your esteemed court can ask the office to provide you with the statement because they refused to provide us with any information, even though we presented a set of evidence containing many violations."

The Central Bank Raises The Amounts Of Its Development Initiatives To 18 Trillion Dinars

Banks   Economy News _ Baghdad   The Central Bank of Iraq announced, on Tuesday, raising the necessary funding for its development initiatives to 18 trillion dinars.

The Central Bank said in a statement, that "the necessary funding for the development initiative is continuing," noting that "it was decided to raise its financial amounts to reach 18 trillion dinars."

He added that "this increase in the amounts of financial allocations comes in response to the success achieved in the development initiatives launched by the Central Bank of Iraq in financing various private sector projects and housing loans."

He pointed out that "this increase will contribute to financing economic development projects, increasing local production and reducing unemployment by providing job opportunities, as well as contributing to supporting various government efforts to confront climate change."

Planning Announces The Stability Of The Monthly Inflation Rate In May

On Tuesday, the Ministry of Planning announced the stability of the monthly inflation rate for the month of May and its annual rise, indicating that spending on food constitutes 30% of the family's monthly income.

Ministry spokesman Abdul-Zahra Al-Hindawi said in an interview with Shafaq News Agency that "the inflation rate for the month of May stabilized at 0.2%, which is the same rate witnessed in last April," noting that "the annual inflation rate for the month of May 2022 compared to the same period last year. 2021, saw an increase of 5.4%.

He added, "Expenditure on food constitutes 30 percent of the family's monthly income, but the food and non-alcoholic beverages department did not witness a significant increase in it during the month of May as a result of government support by providing the ration card items, and thus this department maintained its stability."

Hammam Al-Shamaa To / Nina /: The Oil And Gas Law Will Soon See The Light

He told the National Iraqi News Agency ( NINA ) that the law, which has been on the shelves for more than 14 years, will soon see the light of day due to its importance to the country and its economic situation.

Al-Shammaa added that the reason for the delay was the existence of continuous differences during the successive periods over the past years, indicating that the statement of the last coordination framework is an important step towards its approval.

He explained that the parameters of the law have become clear, given that the region's companies are Iraqi national and operate independently of the North Oil and Central and South Oil companies.

Al-Shamaa added that the situation requires everyone to pass the law because of its importance.

Deputy Ikhlas al-Dulaimi said, in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /, "We received assurances from the forces of the Coordination Framework, after a recent joint meeting of the leaders of the framework with the Alliance of Sovereignty and the Kurdistan Democratic Party."

Oil Rises, Brent Records More Than $116 A Barrel

Economie| 08:40 - 06/28/2022   Follow-up - Mawazine News: Oil prices rose for a third day, Tuesday, as major producers Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates seemed unlikely to be able to boost production significantly while political turmoil in Libya and Ecuador raised supply concerns.

US West Texas Intermediate crude futures rose $1.39, or 1.27%, to $110.96 a barrel by 04:32 GMT, extending gains of 1.8% in the previous session.

Brent crude futures rose $1.65, or 1.43%, to $116.74 a barrel, adding to a 1.7% rise in the previous session.

The UAE and Saudi Arabia are seen as the only two countries in the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) with spare capacity available to make up for lost Russian supplies and weak production from other member states.
