Its aim is to blackmail and cover up the achievements made during the years of crises. So why target? The reason, as I see it, is that the Central Bank insists on the need for all relevant authorities to carry out its daily work, both internally and externally, to abide by the instructions, controls and regulations in accordance with its objectives contained in Law 56 of 2004, which maintains economic stability in the country .
Although I respect the other opinion that is issued by non-specialists or specialists in the economy and monetary policy in particular, but I may disagree with the opinion that is trying to dwarf, minimize and personalize the achievements made by the Central Bank in the face of challenges .
Therefore, I call on the media to look, even for once, to preserve the reputation of the Iraqi economy internally and externally, because it is illogical to allow targeting our economic institutions that are directly responsible for achieving steadfastness and economic stability .
Because accusations against the Central Bank are an insult to Iraq’s economic reputation internationally without checking and investigating the leaked information. The Iraqi marshes, in which the nature of this country is unique, are huge bodies of water that derive their water mainly from the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, and extend in the governorates of Dhi Qar, Maysan, Basra and Muthanna and border areas with Iran in the south and southeast of the country. Birds, fish, aquatic plants, reeds and papyrus, while thousands of Iraqi families live around them on agriculture, fishing and livestock.

In recent weeks, a significant number of families have been displaced from the marshlands due to drought, as they depend on raising buffaloes, livestock and fishing, which have been affected by drought, while agriculture has also been affected.
Iraqi activists launched a campaign to urge the government to help the people of the marshes, and activists are preparing to organize a sit-down on Monday evening, August 15, in the center of Nasiriyah, the capital of Dhi Qar governorate, to denounce the government's failure to contain the crisis and help the people affected by the drought crisis.
In this context, environmental activist Muhammad Abbas said in a tweet on Twitter that the United Nations should intervene in such “stifling conditions” and solve the crisis of the Great Marshlands, especially as it is on the World Heritage List. Abbas described the crisis as a "political failure", referring to the Iraqi government's failure to complete its negotiations with the Turkish and Iranian sides, and to achieve the desired results to raise the quantities of water reaching the Tigris and Euphrates rivers.
Earlier, the rapporteur of the Iraqi Parliament’s Water Committee, Representative Adel Al-Mukhtar, said that his committee “called on the three presidencies to use pressure papers on neighboring countries to get them to join international agreements and treaties related to the distribution of water between countries,” explaining in press statements “the need to develop solutions to address The negative effects of declining water levels, the most important of which are the high rates of pollution, especially in the central and southern regions, and the increase in desertification areas, as well as the expansion of family migration, especially from marsh dwellers and villages to city centers.”
