UNAMI Calls For An End To Political Differences And The Formation Of A Government

political| 04:13 - 02/05/2022   Baghdad - Mawazine News   The United Nations mission in Iraq called on "UNAMI", on Monday, to expedite the end of political differences and the formation of the government.

"We extend our best wishes to you and your loved ones on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr," UNAMI said in a statement received by Mawazine News.

And the statement continued, "On this blessed holiday, we stress the importance of overcoming the political stalemate for the benefit of all Iraqis."

The statement indicated that as significant weaknesses at the local level are exacerbated by the ongoing effects of the pandemic and global geopolitical tensions, a sincere collective will to resolve political differences must now prevail in order for the country to move forward and meet the needs of its citizens.

He added, that the United Nations remains a partner for all Iraqis, we urge the political leaders in Iraq to assume their responsibilities, expedite the process of forming a government, and observe constitutional time frames, and thus agree - without further delay - on a government capable, quickly and decisively, to address the list Iraq's long-standing domestic priorities.

The US Embassy In Baghdad: Targeting Erbil Is An Attack On Iraq's Sovereignty

"The United States condemns last night's attack in Iraq, which resulted in damage to an oil refinery in the Kurdistan region of Iraq," the embassy said in a statement received by Mawazine News.

She added, "Attacks in Iraq, including on the energy sector, are an assault on Iraq's sovereignty and harm Iraqi citizens."

The Ministry Of Oil: Last Month's Revenues Amounted To More Than 10 Billion Dollars

Economie| 04:54 - 01/05/2022   Baghdad - Mawazine News, the Ministry of Oil announced, on Sunday, revenues and exports for the month of April.

And the ministry stated in a statement that Mawazine News received a copy of it, that "the total amount of exports and revenues achieved for the month of last April, according to the preliminary statistic issued by the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company "SOMO", the total amount of exports of crude oil amounted to (101) million and (390). One thousand and (662) barrels, with revenues amounting to (10.55) billion dollars."

She added, "The statistics indicated that the total quantities exported of crude oil for the month of April from oil fields in central and southern Iraq amounted to (98) million (100) thousand and (42) barrels, while from Kirkuk fields through the port of Ceyhan, the quantities reached Exporting two million and (991) thousand and (60) barrels.

She pointed out that "the average daily quantities amounted to (3) million and (380) thousand barrels per day, and that the average price of one barrel amounted to more than (104).

Global Oil Prices Fall Amid Fears Of Slowing Economic Growth In China

Monday 02, May 2022 10:03 | economic Number of readings: 228  Baghdad / NINA / - Oil prices fell on Monday, as trade faltered in Asia due to the holiday amid fears of slowing economic growth in China, the world's largest oil importer, which outweighed fears of possible supply disruptions from the imminent European Union ban on Russian crude.

Brent crude futures fell, according to Reuters: 0.85 cents, or 0.97%, to $106.28 a barrel by this morning, while US West Texas Intermediate crude futures fell 0.75 cents, or 0.73%, to $103.93 a barrel.

Prices fell after China released data showing that factory activity in the world's second largest economy shrank for the second month to its lowest level since February 2020 due to the closures.

Iraq's Oil Exports Rise More Than 4% In April

Posted On2022-05-02 By Sotaliraq   Iraq's oil exports rose to 3.380 million barrels per day during the month of April, at a rate of more than 4%, compared to 3.244 million barrels per day in March.

According to data reported by the Ministry of Oil, Iraq's federal oil exports, excluding flows from the Kurdistan Region, rose 4.19% month-on-month in April, amid an increase in the share of OPEC+.

Exports from the southern oil ports amounted to 3.270 million barrels per day in April, up 2.28% from the previous month.

Kirkuk crude exports through the Turkish port of Ceyhan amounted to 100,000 barrels per day, an increase of 112.77% over the month of March, in which exports through the Turkish port of Ceyhan amounted to 47,000 barrels per day.

Iraq's share of OPEC + rose to 4.414 million barrels per day in April from 4.370 million barrels per day in March, as the group continued to ease oil production restrictions.

On April 19, the Ministry of Oil confirmed Iraq's commitment to the decision of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, OPEC and its allies, regarding increasing oil production, which is distributed to all countries and according to the production of each country.   LINK
