Parliamentary Finance Excludes Passing The Budget In Monday's Session

The Parliamentary Finance Committee ruled out that the budget will be passed in tomorrow's session Monday due to the continuing differences between the components around it, and while the committee revealed the financial allocations for the Faw Port Project and its increase, it confirmed the allocation of one trillion dinars to the contractors covered by Resolution 315.

Committee member Jamal Cougar said in an interview with " Al-Sabah: “I do not think that the budget law will be passed in Monday’s session. For the budget project, so it will be difficult to pass it. "

Couger pointed out that "funds will be allocated to the port of Faw in every budget until the completion of the implementation of the project," noting that "the Korean company, according to its contract, must receive the funds in order to start work unlike the Chinese company."

On the issue of Al-Faw Port as well, the Chairman of the Finance Committee, Haitham Al-Jubouri, said in a press statement that "the Finance Committee with all its members is keen to implement this vital project, and has previously supported it in the deficit financing law, and today the committee has reallocated an additional 400 billion dinars for it."
