Nabil Al Marsoumi To Nina: The Current Year's Budget Has Become A Thing Of The Past

Friday 29 July 2022 13:18 | Economic Number of readings: 238   Baghdad / NINA / - The economic expert, Nabil Al-Marsoumi, confirmed that the current year's budget has become a thing of the past.

He told the National Iraqi News Agency ( NINA ) that the current year's budget is supposed to be submitted since November 2021, and we have passed the first half of July 2022, because it is real and actual to set a budget.

Al-Marsoumi added that the budget needs an approval from the Council of Ministers, which has not yet been formed, and then goes to Parliament for discussion and approval, which needs a period of between two to three months.

He explained that we have to think about next year, will there be a budget or not? .

Al-Marsoumi indicated that talking about the 2022 budget has become useless, and the Food Security Law, which was enacted two months ago, I think is sufficient to spend the surplus of oil revenues on the aspects decided by this law./End 3    https://ninanews.com/Website/News/Details?Key=990556
