And why on earth would I want to do that. The IMF can dish out all the advice it wants to Iraq but unless Iraq wants to borrow money from the IMF they are not obliged to listen. Remind me, when was the last time Iraq had a government that was prepared to listen to anyone.
Floating the currency can be a controlled and calculated move or an act of desperation. Looks like Zimbabwe is about to join the list of desperate floaters, and every indication Iraq will go the same way.
Time you faced reality and accepted that the concept of some controlled transition as "floated" by the IMF is nothing more than pie in the sky and stopped lecturing people on your flawed interpretation of current circumstances.

There is somewhere around 10 trillion currently in equity in the accounts which is insufficient to deal with the current financial problems. They will have to borrow or devalue, or both. Devaluation would reduce the liability on currency and as the foreign reserves would remain the same, create further equity that could be used to support the budget.
If faced with devaluation, they would have to choose between direct devaluation or float the currency to create the devaluation. The problem with direct devaluation is that if they get it wrong could lead to multiple devaluations.

latency in COVID-19 is no found i.e. not enough evidence yet. If latency exists then this virus will remain in circulation forever!! This is too early to talk about this in relation to COVID-19. It'll take some time as the epidemic is still going on.
