Dave about 3rd art down
Francis Albert Removing corruption, watching rats leaving a sinking ship and loosing Iranian influence was/is the only way economic reforms can happen in Iraq. So, for those whining that these things have slowed down the reforms do not understand the reality of life. An example, few know but true, when the body is in pain it is actually healing and not getting worse.
chattels Dave thank you
chattels “The Iraqi government, unless the parliament takes any decision on resignation, it will remain a government with full powers, and when the parliament takes a decision on resignation, it becomes a caretaker government daily, and remain in this characterization until the formation of a new government, be voted on By the House of Representatives. ”

Loren Being a optimist instead of a cynic, and also have spending ten years in Iraq. I am very optimistic about the possibility of Iraq Revaluing its currency. Here are the reasons why:
I spent 2years in Kuwait City meeting Kuwaiti's and discussing regional business at every opportunity. Quite often it would be with farmers in the area, they told me that if Iraq ever retook their position in agriculture, that they would not be able to compete with them, that they might as well push their corps into the ditch.
I use to fly between Kuwait City and Baghdad, over the irrigation network that now has dust in it. I believe that they became dry because the monster named Sadamn rerouted the river and made Southern Iraq dry so that the river would go around his palace.
I believe that the river could be rerouted again returning water to the irrigation network. Returning Iraq to it's position of being the Middle East's bread basket.
Two oil: Oil is so abundant that you can see it oozing up threw ground in places. I am not a petro engineer, but I have also heard that the oil that pumped out of the ground requires less refining in order to make it into fuel. Making it less expensive to refine, thus making it more valuable.
Three tourism: Iraq has a biblical history that agroecologist's (sp?) and tourist's have been wanting to explore for years. Do I need to point out that Egypt's government depends on tourism?
Here is a question, if Iraq's Dinar can be devalued, why can't it be revalued. Especially when I have heard it stated that Iraq maybe one of the richest counties on earth in natural recourses .
I have always heard that it is assets that determine the value of currency? From what I have seen, Iraq is a gold mine waiting to be tapped and in order to return to the world community that their currency has to be revalued? And that the rest of the world will benefit from this event.
Loren This is not the 1st time posting, however I respect your right not to not to post opposing opinions. I am just a visitor. I will not post again! Please excuse the ring.
spankie Loren u okay- do not go away mad- is good to state ur opinion
Spankie Loren very good comment above- thx
JoeSchmoe Loren views like your above are always welcome...and encouraging! ;clap
JoeSchmoe especially when it sounds like common sense as yours does
JoeSchmoe Loren however, I would like to hear your views on the amount of dinar in circulation, and how that would affect Iraq's ability to rv please?
JoeSchmoe Loren ...because whenever I start feeling more positive about our dinar thing here, someone always brings that up and I don't know how to feel
JoeSchmoethat always seems to be the fly in the ointment though...the amount of dinar in circ. So if we could keep getting more ideas that rebut/refute it, that would be great
Baxter MONEY supply eh? great question...
Baxter The Dime Account isnt rising very rapidly...

kevin311312 #Iraq: Someone put fire on a mausoleum in #Najaf, which is for many Shia a holy-like town.
Francis Albert JoeSchmoe and others "concerned" about the money supply of the Iraqi Dinar. This may help ease concerns, or not. The whole money supply thing was brought forth by Kap here long ago. I would ask, What does Kap know the CBI et al doesn't know.
Francis Albert CBI and so many others have all but said the Dinar is going up in value, so obviously the money supply thing is not an issue, or they wouldn't be doing it. So, that alone is the remedy to Kap's argument.
Francis Albert A few other things about this just for fun. No one knows who, in fact, hold all these trillions of Dinar. No one. So, Central Banks around the World are the most likely candidates for holding around 40 Trillion Dinar. ( I think that is the latest figure being tossed around.)
Francis Albert The thesis: All Central Banks are controlled by the same people who Control Dollar Inc. (sans Russia, China, North Korea and Iran) The axis of evil, how convenient. (they are card carrying members in India's but not in control).
So, If we make the argument that the Dollar Inc. crowd promulgates wars, (regime change) the U.S. gets into, then we can argue they have a vested interest in a strong, vibrant, healthy prosperous Iraq with happy citizens to be consumers and not in the streets.
Francis Albert Which, of course, is the whole reason for the 2003 "Liberation" of Iraq, and why billions upon billions, (more to come), have been spent on "bases", strongholds for the Dollar boys the have the U.S. look after the Middle East. The whole point of the war, because they are Empire Building.
Francis Albert So, The Dollar Inc. crowd being in control of trillions of Dinar, they have the option to dump them into Iraq and crash the whole RI, RV, whatever...or make it easy on Iraq to fulfill their needs. And, as many conjecture they will be trading in lots of these Dinar until the end of time for oil. In Geo Politics nothing happens by accident.
Francis Albert And, the fun part. Central Banks create currencies on a computer or have the treasury of the Country print paper currency and by the bill for .03 each. Nice work if you can get it.
So, since it is all monopoly money to Central Banks, they can just burn the Dinar, what do they care? And if you think that is crazy, then you do not know how central banks operate. Central banks destroy assets all the time, to keep things in "balance" on the balance sheet.
LeLe Loren thanks for your post. It would be nice if you posted more often; good-am everyone.
Sparky LeLe Good Morning, and I agree... great post by Loren... Im on the same page... appreciate FrancisAlbert posts as well...

Economy News _ Baghdad OPEC and its allies will consider increasing current production cuts by 400,000 barrels per day (bpd) to 1.6 million barrels per day (bpd), Oil Minister Thamer Al-Ghadban said Sunday.
Al-Ghadban told reporters in Baghdad that the organization and its allies in the so-called OPEC+ will consider further cuts at meetings scheduled to be held in Vienna this week.
Al-Ghadban said the unrest in the country has not affected crude production and export operations and there is a surplus of oil, and the agreement between Baghdad and the Kurdistan Region includes keeping the production ceiling from the region at 450,000 barrels per day. http://economy-news.net/content.php?id=18386

Francis Albert Ask Same what? and who's Sam? :)
Sparky Francis Albert ... regarding Adam, and Mountain Goat...Sam I am...member on this forum...
larrykn You all have a great day :)
Francis Albert Thanks..I'm good. Only so much attention to this at the moment.
Sparky larrykn ...if they keep holding up production, technology will minimize oils worth...they may end up giving it away for water, if they're not careful...
Francis Albert Sparky, I think there's lots of cool technology that is trying to and will come out. Yet, I don't think the oil thing is going to be threatened by it for some time..years. I may be wrong but the big boys wouldn't be investing so much into Iraq et al if oil's use was in near jeopardy.
Sparky Francis Albert ...oh yes, agree... long term...decade maybe...
