Francis Albert I thought it a bit "hilarious" at best with President Trump complaining about Iraqi's not giving American Oil Companies a real shot at contracts.....his words, "After all we did for them...." This Empire building mentality is so ingrained in the USG, they don't even see the forest for the trees.
Francis Albert IMO there's some really bad karma coming down for this Country some day. Not sure when, but it will happen.
Francis Albert This has been going on for many, many years...all administrations...left, right...all the same..it's in the DNA of this Country's foreign policy. Not going to end well.
Sparky Francis Albert .. we export war... consumer nation...only export hurt....but "God's Country "..?
Francis Albert I know...it's sad what we've allowed to take place here.
Sparky Francis Albert ... if and when this pops, I'm going to Scandinavia... never look back...
Loren @Francis Albert: the quote that you mentioned is coming from the crooked politicians, Probably Iranians. The Iraqi's that I worked with liked the Americans and liked a lot of our ideas, if someone took the time to explain them to them. They also understood that if there was going to be change that it would be because of the U.S.
Loren Does anybody know what became of the $450 million that they found on the plane in Dubia?
Baxter well i know one thing for sure.... I DONT HAVE IT
Loren So as far as anybody knows, they never figureds out who the money belonged to?
Loren Does anybody know what became of the $450 million that they found on the plane in Dubia?
Baxter i DID see an article a while back... that said it was going back to Iraq...
Dave Loren something about it coming from Libya
Loren the article I read said it was in Malik's jet. I am not counterdicking you I am just surprised to hear that it came from Libya.
Biff I think the Dubui Police gave the money back. IMO It was done to expose Maliki
Loren I am surprised he needed to exposed. When I was in country, the U.S. millitary was artifacts to him and he was selling them on the open market.
biff The FBI has a artifact team that looks for artifacts. Many troops tried to bring them back from Iraq
Loren I would have been scared ****less to try to smuggle something out Iraq. We all flew out Baghdad international. Being arrest by the Iraqi's wasn't something I wanted to even risk.
Bif fLoren when were you in counrty
Loren 2003 to 2013

Loren Frank26 said that there is a lot of Irainians in the GOI and that these protests were being designed to run them out?
biff hes shia with some persian influence
Loren I hope that he takes a lot of his people with him.
biff maliki is Shia does not the sunni people saddam killed his family members
biff The GOI is the problem
Loren The Sunnies were pretty much running things during Sandam's reign> Are they back in power?
biff A lot of chinese in Iraq too
Loren There were a lot there when I was there too. Met them in the airport.
biff We had to get rid of the batth party a majority were sunni
Loren Ya but the Shia had very little education, and no experience running government?
biff true If you look in the region most are sunni Kuwait Iraq Dubui etcs
Loren That is why that I thought that for Iraq to have any chance of coming back that the Sunnies would have to be brought back?
biff they have to get along They have fight for years
Loren For sure, must be you don't think that they are? I thought that they were improving?
biff time will tell but slow Look at the Kurds they are booming
biff americans can go there KBR and the air force have a big base there for refueling
Loren The Kurds were the model that we were hoping for, for the rest of Iraq. I have been hearing about improving relations between them and Baghdad. That was what was giving hope about a improved rate in the IDQ.
Loren Which base, Alisad or Anaconda?
Biff We only hear the bad about Iraq thru the Media
biff Q Town
Loren Never hear of it, do you mean Q west?
biff I was at al ali asad too yes Q west
Loren I have been all over Iraq too, did Mosul, Camp Cedar & Adder, then Baghdad, Asidad and lastly Basra.

biff Hated the Irish road drive in and out baghdad
biff ok
Loren I was on the elevator one time going into BIOP and got sprayed pretty good with machine gun fire.
Baxter Matthew Tueller, a career diplomat who took over the Baghdad mission in June, told U.S. military leaders on Saturday morning that it "appears inevitable" that Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi would resign in the face of deadly protests and a call from one of the country's most powerful clerics that the government resign and hold new elections under U.N. supervision.
"Through this move, we assess [Moqtada al-Sadr] is seeking to take advantage of this crisis by giving demonstrators a dramatic response to their anger against the government and strengthening his own hand," Tueller wrote in a classified email sent to U.S. military leaders on Saturday morning.
"Subsequently former PM [Haider al-Abadi] also issued a call for early elections. With these drastic developments the resignation of [Adil Abdul-Mahdi] by as early as today appears inevitable and Iraq's government will enter unchartered [sic] and fraught political territory."
biff great news
Baxter WELL.... lets see.... after the last election... its been over a year...and the govt still isnt complete
Baxter so... lets have some more elections
Loren As per Frank26, this what goal of these protests were?
biff get the iranian influence out of the country
Loren That and to run the Iranians out of the GOI
Loren @ Baxter, please explain: unchartered [sic] and fraught political territory."?
Baxter wish I knew... just what the article said
Baxter their government... is certainly .. sic..... LOL
Baxter they still dont even have the ministers selected from the last election a year and a half ago
Loren I was in Baghdad, when they lost several pallets of $100 dollar bills. They couldn't find a Iraqi over there that was honest enough to be able to believe a word that they said. To the best of my knowlegage thgey never found that money?
biff stolen
Loren That's the best guess?
Loren The U.S. has given Iraq enough money to rebuild the country a couple of times. The regular citizens have never seen a dime of it.
bifft here was major who was a contractor his wife and daughter were arrest for stealing money. They had 8 security boxes of money
Loren I never heard that. WOW!
biff back in 05
Loren Yep!
biff i got paid in Iraq in cash no atms
Loren mine went electronically to my bank account, I kept $500 out for expenses on bas.
biff did same only what I needed
Loren Being outside of the wire the way you were. It would be dangerous to carry much cash?
biff I had a Marine Detachment with me
Loren that helps, but we got our asses kicked a couple times when we were out with Army.
Loren Did you ever hear about the Mackenise mission back in 2005?
Baxter Doug_W thx.... check should be there tomorrow
biff I was in Ramadi we had to put an advisory on shooting. There was a wedding going on. Arabs like celibratory gun fire. We had some wedding shot up
biff No I did not Loren Loren I got recruited by Blackwater in 04 didnt stay for the training
Loren We were running supplies over to Mackenise from Anaconda and ended up in a fire fight. They killed drivers and wounded 4 out of 11 drivers. I was one of the drivers that made it out without a scratch.
Loren Killed 3.
biff Lucky
biff That traffic is crazy too. Driving around those fuel truck convoys
Loren We were running steers that were three piece. We were all scared to death about what would happen if they shot out our steers. They shot out my steers and I was still able to keep up with the truck in front of me. But the truck in front of me is what was keeping the rounds from coming in my windshield.
biff a lot of the footage on the truck drivers in iraq on youtube
biff during the war
Loren Never hauled fuel, I did loose a good friend though his name was Side stepper, he burnt up in a tanker fire.
Loren Our mission was on there.
biff When the american stop driving they hired foriegners
Loren right at the time that DOD pulled out and DOS took over. I think that it was 2008.
