Brothers and sisters read to you the text of what we received from the office of His Eminence Mr. (Dam Shadow) in Najaf Al-Ashraf: In the name of God the most merciful, the country continues to live in difficult and disturbing situations, where different categories of citizens continue to participate in peaceful demonstrations and sit-ins demanding reform,
while some of the perpetrators are subjected to assassination, kidnapping and threats, and in return many government departments and institutions are forced Education is not necessary to close its doors, and the property of some citizens is burned and vandalized, and many complain about the weakness of the prestige of the State and the rebellion of some against the laws and controls governing public life in the country without any deterrent or objection.
We have pointed out in an earlier speech that the people are the source of the authorities and from them derive their legitimacy - as stipulated in the Constitution - and therefore the closest and safest way to get out of the current crisis and avoid going into the unknown or chaos or infighting - God forbid - is to refer to the people by holding early elections, after the enactment of a fair law, the formation of an independent commission to conduct them, and the establishment of an effective monitoring mechanism.
At all stages of its work, it allows for the restoration of confidence in the electoral process.
larrykn However, the adoption of the electoral law has been hampered to this day and the controversy over some of its key articles has worsened, and here we reiterate the need to speed up its adoption and be consistent with the aspirations of the voters, bring them closer to their representatives, take care of the sanctity of their voices and not allow them to be circumvented. Passing a law that is not as good as that will not help overcome the current crisis.
If the electoral law is approved in an acceptable manner, it is the role of intellectual elites and national talents who wish to work politically to organize their ranks and prepare their programs to promote the country and solve its problems, which are exacerbated within the framework of well-thought-out practical plans, so that they are ready to present them to voters at the time of the elections, and to be educated to compete in them, not on the basis of regional or tribal affiliations.
The sectarianism of the candidates, even in view of their competence, qualifications and viable programmes to cross the country into a better future, in the hope that the next House of Representatives and the government that emerges from it will play the role required of them in carrying out the necessary reforms to rid themselves of the consequences of corruption, quotas and the absence of social justice in the previous period.
In conclusion, we hope that the formation of the new government, which must be a non-controversial government, will not be delayed, responding to the benefits of the current phase, and being able to restore the prestige of the state and calm the situation, and to hold the upcoming elections in a reassuring atmosphere away from the side effects of money or illegal weapons and foreign interference.
