chattels [Baghdad-Ain] Deputy Speaker of Parliament Hassan Al-Kaabi called on Friday to hold an emergency session tomorrow, Saturday, to discuss the American targeting and assassination of the deputy head of the Popular Mobilization Committee, Abu Mahdi al-Muhdas, and the commander of the Iranian Quds Force, Qassem Soleimani.
"We call for an emergency session of the House of Representatives, tomorrow, Saturday, January 4, 2020, to discuss the treacherous American targeting that resulted in the martyrdom of a few heroic believers," Al-Kaabi said in a statement.
It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi called earlier today, Friday, to hold an extraordinary session of the House of Representatives based on the provisions of Article (58) of the Constitution in order to organize the Iraqi official position and take the necessary legislative and appropriate measures in a manner that preserves the dignity, security and sovereignty of Iraq.
