Footforward It's my opinion the rate won't be 50 cents. People have been asking me about this a lot today. Kuwait lied about their intention to RV. They flat out said they would never revalue and the next day they did so. Media lies. Why would the Iraqi media be any different? All I can say to that is that it's my opinion that it's impossible for the rate to start out below 3.50.

World Gold Council data, released in July, show that the United States continues to top the list of countries with the most precious metal reserves, far ahead of its closest competitors.
The data available through the Council's website indicates the continued growth of the Russian Central Bank's possession of gold during the past decade, as its reserves jumped from about 700 tons in 2010 to more than 2000 tons this year.
The possession of gold at the US central bank accounted for 78% of the total foreign reserves, which was surpassed only by Venezuela, which recorded 82% (161 tons), but the Latin country suffers mainly a crisis in obtaining hard currency after the collapse of its oil sector and the deterioration of the economy.
At the level of the Arab countries, Saudi Arabia and Lebanon came in the list of the 20 most gold-holding countries among their foreign reserves, with the former possessing 323.1 tons of precious metal, and the second possessing 286.8 tons. Remarkably, Libya came 33rd in the world with 116.6 tons. Egypt ranked 40th with 79.5 tons of gold. While Syria ranked 60th with 25.8 tons of gold.

Samson: Integrity: A former minister was involved in the theft of $ 3 billion in oil storage tanks in Basra and sold

The Parliamentary Integrity Committee revealed, on Thursday, the theft and sale of oil storage tanks, which are valued at more than $ 3 billion, and the control of the land constructed in coordination with a former oil minister.
A member of the Integrity Committee, Abdul Amir Al-Mayahi, told Al-Maalouma that, “Basra Governorate contains giant oil tanks within the Muftiyah warehouse at a location near the Shatt to support the oil storage.”
He added that "one of the former oil ministers, in coordination with a company called Damac Company, cut the tanks and sold them for less than their value, which amounts to about 3 billion dollars, and convert the land on which the warehouse is built into a tourist project."
He stated that "the Oil Ministry formed a committee to follow up on the matter, and then its recommendations were left to leave the tanks to their position due to the lack of economic feasibility of cutting them and the tanks were cut and sold and the land was controlled."
Al-Mayahi explained that “the Oil Ministry did not hold the former minister and owner of the company accountable and did not move a finger on the matter, and an entire warehouse ended without any reaction.” LINK

Samsn: Source: Government-owned documents will convict many politicians of corruption

A high-ranking security source revealed, today, Friday, that the government has information about all the corrupt people in the ports, stressing their pursuit to hand them over to the grip of the law.
The source stated that "the cooperation of the agencies affiliated with the intelligence service with intelligence and national security resulted in obtaining sufficient information that condemns many corrupt people who tamper with the capabilities of the Iraqi people."
