KaseyKo1: The Iraqi parliament is scheduled to convene on Monday to choose one of the candidates, amid fears that a quorum could not be achieved due to the Sadrist bloc’s boycott of the session. Rizgar Hama Amin, the candidate for the presidency, the judge who tried Saddam Hussein, expected on Saturday to be chosen as a compromise candidate by the two main Kurdish parties, the Democratic Union and the Union.
Bashful: Ok someone PLEASE advise me here with all the hooopla in baghdad like Sadar is in Sadar is out maliki wont leave etc etc are we going to have a RV or?? When?? Please shed some light
Victord: IMO and only my opinion, I think Sadr is trying to force the Kurds to come up with a candidate they both can support. That will strengthen his desire for a majority government. They have till the 8th to vote (per the time frame in their constitution) and I bet they will.
Tishwash: Al-Zayadi: The Framework Is Determined To Reduce The Price Of The Dollar
The representative of the State of Law coalition, Muhammad Al-Ziyadi, confirmed, on Sunday, that the coordination framework is determined to reduce the dollar exchange rate in the event that he participates in the political process, pointing out that reducing the price will be one of the conditions for voting on the Prime Minister for the next government.
Al-Ziyadi told Al-Maalouma, "The coordination framework rejected the rise in the dollar exchange rate against the dinar when voting on the 2021 budget, as this caused great damage to various segments of the people."
He added, "Whoever was the reason for passing the budget at the current dollar price, today enjoys the majority in Parliament, and it is hoped that the course will be corrected by decreasing the exchange rate."
And Al-Zayadi, "The coordination framework, and if it is part of the political process, it will set a condition when voting on the prime minister, as the candidate will not pass without obtaining a word from him to reduce the exchange rate, but by going to the opposition, then he cannot set the conditions but demand adjusting the price. link

Tishwash: Finance: The economy has begun to recover as a result of the reform steps in the white paper
Today, Saturday, the Ministry of Finance confirmed that the Iraqi economy has begun to recover as a result of the reform steps of the White Paper.
The ministry said in a statement received by (Al-Rabaa) that "the Bahr Al-Uloom Forum for Dialogue awarded today, Saturday, 2/5/2022, Ali Abdul Amir Allawi the Shield of Creativity and Excellence and a certificate of appreciation for the distinguished efforts he made during the short period that passed since his assumption of the ministerial position," noting that "The forum's activities are aimed at revitalizing the dialogue between the Iraqi elites and filling a part of the vacuum that the arena suffers from in its various axes, and one of its requirements is openness to the various Iraqi segments away from partisan, sectarian and nationalist entrenchments."
She added that "the main objective of holding such intellectual activities and meaningful dialogues is to produce a movement that helps create a moderate climate for the practice of political and economic work," noting that "the forum witnessed the presentation of many of the pivotal axes that His Excellency the Minister addressed, the most important of which is the exchange rate change policy."
Which ensures the revival of the Iraqi economy by supporting the productive sectors in the private sector and discussing opinions and ideas related to the current economic reality, and ways to move from the current low level of productivity and income to a high level of productivity and income, which is done by addressing the factors that led to the low productivity of work in Iraq
Which recorded in 2018 less than half of what it was in the seventies of the last century due to the dominance of the unproductive public sector, in addition to the decline in the tradable goods sector, and the negative effects of the non-competitive exchange rate of the Iraqi dinar - especially against the exchange rates of the currencies of Iraq’s trading partners - on the agricultural and basic industries sectors in Iraq over the past decades.
The ministry pointed out that "reports of the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund and international organizations show that the Iraqi economy began to gradually recover with the beginning of 2021, as the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund expected the growth of the Iraqi economy, as a result of the reform steps that the Iraqi government is working on, embodied in the White Paper and its contents." link

Mot: A man applied for a job as a janitor at a large corporation and was invited for a job interview. The HR manager offered him the job and asked, “Can you please give me your email address so l can send you all the documents?”
The man answered,” I don’t have an email address or a computer for that matter.” The HR manager was shocked. “Then I’m sorry. Without an email address, you won’t exist in our system and I can’t give you the job. Goodbye.”
The disgruntled man left shaking his head. He looked in his wallet and found a ten dollar bill. This gave him an idea. He went to the supermarket and bought ten pounds of apples and then went door to door selling them. An hour later he had $20 which he used to buy more apples. He continued this process until late in the evening at the end of the day. He went home with $160 in his pocket.
The man continued his door-to-door sales every day and developed a feeling for what people want and need. This gave him more business ideas and eventually, he could afford a bike and then a delivery truck and then his own store. A few years later he had his own chain of supermarkets.
When he got older he started to think about retirement and leaving something behind for his family. He consulted a financial advisor to find out how he could leave an inheritance. When they were finished with all the financial planning the advisor asked the man for his email address so he could send him all the documents. The man answered, “I’ve never had a computer or an email address and I never will. Please send me everything by regular mail.”
The financial advisor was surprised and said, “You built your entire empire without a computer or an email address? Imagine where you’d be today if you had used those things.”
The man answered, “I’d be a janitor.”
